Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Rooted X10 / Theme / Change UI Color?

No idea if anyone knows or if theres any info out there as haven't been able to do so myself as yet - but hey, i'm northern and stupid so probably looking in the wrong place, An absolutely awesome user on here - Android Forums - View Profile: X10iUser - showed me how to do the rooting and offered some new fonts which i was really after. However after watching THIS. http://www.go2album.com/showAlbum/387996. i really think i wanna change the whole style of the phone - the question is, how do i do this. can it be done from a one click app root or do i need to do it "properly" Even if its just getting rid of the CRAP blue UI i will be happy as i ONLY use EMAIL and SETTINGS menu from the stock sony UI.

I want to change the theme, the normal one is getting boring.
Also everytime m on the menus or anything, its the same light blue background... I'm bored of it.

I find my laptop screen a lot easier to read in sunlight if it is black characters on a white background Is there any way of changing the phone color scheme similarly, esp phone book, dialing, sms, calendar.

Today I started to explorer how to change color in the notification/statusbar. I've tried to follow the guides in here and other forums, but when I want to change color I get an error after typing java -Xmx512M -jar colorChangev3.jar theme.zip clock=FFFF9300 date=FFFF9300 I'm using color changev3.jar. In the guides they're all talking about some classes.dex inside the service.jar, but the only thing I can find is some MANIFEST-MF

Anyone know of a good App that will let you change the style/color of the typeface on the X8? Wife has an X8, but is having problems reading the white text against the wallpaper pic. Tried various pics for wallpaper, but she is looking for a black type face to make things easier. Can't seem to change the color or style through settings, or is she missing something?

My SE is in Jacksonville and should be delivered in the morning, I would really like some help finding an app that works like Color ID on the Blackberry. It is simple and works with the LED notification, allowing you to change the color of the LED based on the source of an email.
I only need it for one thing, so it doesn't need to be real complex or handle allot of different numbers/email addresses, I just need it for when I am on-call for work.
When I receive a page (via email) in the middle of the night, I need to be able to tell it from some generic spam mail or mail from a long lost friend, so I only have to actually get up and read the message for work pages.
Seems simple, got to be an app that can do it, but searching the market for has not found what I need. it doesn't have to be just LED, could be ringtones (never used them before, my blackberry has been on vibrate forever), but anything, flash the screen, etc. Anything that will wake me up and make me realize it is time to go to work....

I am looking to pimp my homescreen, I have had a look at ADW launcher and I can't see how to customize the theme very good, has anyone got any good apps or widgets to make my homescreen look really good, plus is there a way to shorten the space between app rows on the home screen.

I was reading here that the X10 has been rooted, the only problem seems to be is that it requires an expensive SE-Tool hardware adapter dongle.Decrypted x10 roms - Page 3 - xda-developers.

It is said in some places the multitouch may be added "but it is also said that the hardware is not capable"
It is said that the x10 may get 16M colors for it's screen "but it is also said the the hardware cannot display more that 256K color"
What is the truth here?
Now we are all waiting in anticipation for 2.1 "hopefully 2.2" but who will get these updates and when?
I live in south africa and our service providers are corrupt idiots and i realy dont want thier brand stamped all over my phone cuz they tend to destroy most phones that way.
When will south africans be able to enjoy the ?
Also why does it seem like sony has 30 phones and only 2 ppl working on update?
These questions are aimed at SE and i would only like to hear their opinion on this.all the best luck,

I have been waiting and reading for months with regard to getting a new phone. I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. I had almost set my self on the Iphone 4 but luckily I waited an what a good choice that was with all the problems the iphone 4 is having. So yet again I started looking and have always liked the x10 because of its build and camera but hated it because of it having old 1.6 android and no hd recording or flash. Then suddenly I read the somone has managed to root the x10 and so im guessing that it wont be long until 2.2 with flash and hd recording and multitouch is released ?

I recently rooted my x10. Everything is going awesome so far except one thing. I have no idea where my voice search went. I re-flashed it with an unbranded rom (R2BA026) and voice search is missing! I don't know where to go from here.

As the title, I downloaded barnacle about 2 weeks ago and could not get it working on my phone then visited the makers site on my laptop. Found a link on there to the settings needed to make it work on the X10 and here it is: Set LAN to athwlan0 Thats it! So if your rooted you can turn your X10 into a wifi hotspot and run what you want on it! 2 laptops and a PS3/Xbox? no problems. Let your poor friend who needs to use wifi to go online with their phone? No problem.
Apparently you can even let an ipad go online via the app and it is bloody fast I use a dongle for internet and although its on the same network as my phone the phone is lightening quick at sending data! Once connected it will show up as your only connected to a local network but it runs via an adhoc network so will only show a local connection. There are a few other minor connection details but you should find the answer with playing with it or just post on here and I will try to help.

hey guys hopefully you can help me out with this.i have an unbranded x10 that i am trying to update to 2.1.when i go to software updates on the phone it's telling me that it's available downloads it and starts to do the update but finishes early and says "unable to finish update" any ideas why it would just stop in the middle and not finish?

I just rooted my X10 mini pro today using the one touch root app, but i'm having really bad/annoying problems with it only things i have removed or changed is i removed some of the telstra apps that came on it and the games that had expired before i bought the phone.
But now i cant install anything from the app store because it force closes every time i try, it froze up on me earlier and the only way i could get it back was to pull the battery and since then none of the google app suite work, i tried to hard reset the phone back to factory by booting holding the app+back+power keys but that only booted into safe mode, i cant find any restore factory settings option anywhere.
