My swype that I side loaded has expired. I've been searching for the update and I am assuming I have the correct file "Swype_1.60.36.8214_WVGA854_En_Ru" Because the X10 is 480x854, but for some reason it keeps force closing, even when I'm not trying to send a message. P.S. And before and one says "Swype should have e-mailed you an update", I never registered for the Beta.

I updated my x10a to 2.1 last week and i noticed sms and handcent keep freezing up. I uninstalled handcent and it's still doing it. my x10a is Rogers branded and rooted.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIt is now 12:15 am est. My phone ate it's first battery for breakfast and lunch and died at 2:15. Left the house at 930 for school, sat in class and surfed the internet for a bit, made a few phone calls to meet up with a friend at the gym. Once at the gym I used Men's health mobile workout app(recommend) at which point my 1st battery died, Pop in my fully charged 2nd battery cruising through the day few phone calls nothing over 4 minutes, sat in class browsed some more and played wixel and what the doodle....went out after calss for a drink.
Finally my droid had ingested its 2nd battery timing out at 11. I am rooted running at 1200mhz with profiles set...Also having lots of problems with swype force closing....anyone experiencing the same problem? also I would like to poll the amount of droid owners having a 2nd battery.
after installing bbv0.4 lookout and swype are constantly force closing...should i just reinstall them?

Whenever i open mediascape, i get 'the application playnow (process com.sonyericsson.playnonowstore.android) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. i have tried these options below but nothing works
- from manage applications
. mediascape --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. mediascape plug-in manager --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. playnow --> UNABLE to clear data ??
- recycle phone a few times --> power off and on
- delete task manager to make sure this app is not auto-killing mediascape
I get the force close pop-up everytime i launch mediascape. i supposed i can do a HARD reset, but i try to avoid this as i have to re-install everything.
For some reason, everytime I try to access my Mediascape it gives me an error message saying that "The application Playnow(process com.sonyericson.playnowstore.andriod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then it makes me force close. I have tried to reset the phone to factory setting as recommend by sony and it is still not working. Can anybody help?

View 6 Replies View RelatedFor some weird reason my phonebook stopped working today. When I clicked on the name, instead of loading up the contacts details, it just froze. When I help the name for a while, a menu would pop up and as soon as I entered view contact details, it forced closed. I deleted the app, in the hopes that I could re-install it from Titanium, but that didn't happen. I've checked the market but cant seem to find it. I don't have to go through the entire root procedure again?

Love the X10 but cannot get mediascape to work, get force close message each time. Sony not responded to any of my emails and when I called they were not that helpful, could only suggest I restore to factory settings. Do not really want to do that.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my X10 mini pro today using the one touch root app, but i'm having really bad/annoying problems with it only things i have removed or changed is i removed some of the telstra apps that came on it and the games that had expired before i bought the phone.
But now i cant install anything from the app store because it force closes every time i try, it froze up on me earlier and the only way i could get it back was to pull the battery and since then none of the google app suite work, i tried to hard reset the phone back to factory by booting holding the app+back+power keys but that only booted into safe mode, i cant find any restore factory settings option anywhere.
Anybody else like the leaked version better? Seems like it worked better if my memory is correct

I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the

This is for those of you that were using the one build of the Swype Beta that actually worked for the Ally (up until last week, when it expired).There is a new beta floating around (version 2.4.44.10912.t100), however, when installed on the Ally, it instantly locks you out with a message that this version wasn't made for your phone.I read somewhere that in the past, you could fix this by modifying the Swype apk to contain an older "license.dat" file (such as the one from the open beta). With this new version however, Swype will FC instantly if it was installed from a resigned apk.Out of curiosity, I extracted the files from within "classes.dex" and started poking around. I downloaded the Swype Beta when it came out and have been having all kinds of problems with if freezing. I've tried un-installing and re-installing and it still happens. Since the Droid X comes with a pre-installed version of swype, does this mean that we (Droid X users) cannot install the swype beta, or is there some other workaround?
