I would like to Sync my XPERIA X10 Mini with my Outlook contacts, but cannot get PC Suite 6.0 to Connect. I can connect using PC Companion but can only copy contacts from my Phone to Internet, not from Outlook.

For 1-2 weeks I cant sync my contacts with google any more.
I have turned auto sync off and just try to do it manually�
It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.
how can i use office suite in x10 when i open the office suite it shows no supported files?

I have upgraded to android 2.1. I am unable to use sync functionality. Even when the connection is perfect and also the user login details are correct, I am unable to sync the phone data with the online data and hence the error is being shown to check the account settings.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have used SE handsets for over 15 years now and never felt the need to seek assistance until now. The x10 mini is driving me mad. I have just upgraded to it on orange. Where has all the functionality for using it as a phone gone? I was extremely embrassed when I was trying to send details of a contact from my address book to my friends HTC handset and failed. No bluetooth file transfer and no ability to send contacts via sms. This so much functionality missing from basic functions: speed dialing from the number pad for example, that I am seriously thinking about giving it back to orange. There are lots of new functions and apps such as WiFi and GPS, maps etc but there is not enough battery life to make them useful in real life situations. I found the old UI on W890i much more polished with lovely touchs on the media player and photo albums. Is android all it is cracked to be?
View 8 Replies View RelatedWhen I save contacts to the memory card I get a file named 00001.vcf. When I open this file in outlook it seems to contain only the first of all my contacts. Can I open this file in another way to get all my contacts? Is it possible to import all my contacts to Pc Companion? When I syncronize the phone with this program I only get the bookmarks exported from the phone to the program. No contact is exported. I have already lost my contacts once and will be sure that I have saved them correctly.

I can't see a thing though, but if I write a text I can write a name and details will pop up? What happens?
So I can type a name in ph-no and details come up, but I can't choose the Contact itself ?
Are there any other apps that I need to use as it worked fine in 1.6 ?

I have all my contacts saved in international fomrat but the x10 mini does not recognise the number when I get call from a saved contact (number is coming in in national format). whats the story here.

View 2 Replies View RelatedGot my x10 mini pro this week and had to swallow three times as I'd not been exposed to android and expected a SE experience. I got the google sync to work without a problem, internet and facebook updates feeding into the timecape - great. I managed to upload my old phone's contacts onto my newly creates SE account on this website, great. Then on the x10 mini pro, I set up the sync using standard SE button, entered my details of this website, which created a default entry trying to get to sync.sonyericsson.com which I cannot change.
When I try to synchronize, (Internet connection def working), this immediately fails, does not even seem to try to connect to the sync server. Error message appears in the status bar: Could not synchronize: Sony Ericsson (which is the name of the default sync entry). I tried creating a sync entry using the SE portal, finding out the secret username/password. That got exactly the same instant response apparently not even trying.
When I sync my x10 mini it will not transfer any information from the calendar in the phone to google calendar but anything that I have entered in google calendar will show up in the phone. What am I doing wrong !?

I have used the option to copy all my contact from the SIM card and that doesn't work AND the SE sync will not work either, and just constantly fails to complete synchronization.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI activate timescape and it took all my facebook contacts and put it in the address book of my phone, and now i can not see my Sim contacts. how can I undo this, I already turn off facebook in timescape, maybe i should delete it for now as i don't use it, i like to keep my phone contact separate from facebook and access facebook only when i need it. and now i can't configure personal ring for the people i have in my phone book, because it took all the facebook information and its with timescape and doesn't have an option to set a ring for the contact in edit part i just can add it to favorites o delete contact. and i still can not see my Sim contacts they are somewhere because when i tap a name in search bar it shows me the contact and phone, but I'd like to see what i have. i already export my contact from Sim to phone but they still don't show.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have two groups of contacts "MyContacts" and "Utilities". When I set up synching I selected to copy "All contacts".
Unfortunatey, when I look what's on my area on sonyericsson.com/wportal I see only the contacts from the group "MyContacts".
I.e. the site creates a false feeling of security - if I need to restore my phone from this site I will irrecovarebly lose lots of data.
I don't know is SE forgot to test their function or Android-hackers don't understand the features of the contacts.
All area of handling the contacts stinks seriously, and mkes you wander if the Android people ever used a mobile phone :
1. X10 does not accept contacts sent via SMS (VCARD-format), (or via MMS or bluetooth)
2. X10 does not sync with Outlook where most of business people have their contacts, and maintain them when receiving corporate mails etc.
3. The only way to get the contacts is to export from PC to a csv-file and import to gmail, and then sync to the phone. This is not that flexible due the export via csv. I.e. If I create cntacts in the phone they will not reach Outlook.
How do I get All my full contacts details from my blackberry to my new X10 mini pro. Set up on this phone is just the worst I have experienced. it is very frustrating. IM ready to throw the little peice of **** in the river.

The problem i faced was wen i synced my phone with my goggle account and imported contacts from a vcf file that i had backed up earlier, all my contacts have same phone number multiple times. I have disabled syncing goggle contacts, disabled showing goggle contacts and just the phone contacts to show... but of i edit a contact and select the option of split contacts.
