When I sync my x10 mini it will not transfer any information from the calendar in the phone to google calendar but anything that I have entered in google calendar will show up in the phone. What am I doing wrong !?

I did not manage to access directly Google calendar from my phone. I had to go through the browser to see. Isn't there an app for that?

I tried to use SE's calendar, but can only sync new events in the calendar that I save in SE calendar..
For 1-2 weeks I cant sync my contacts with google any more.
I have turned auto sync off and just try to do it manually�
It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.
I've been trying very hard to find out how to get all my contacts to go to my new phone from the SIM card. I've got 385 contacts in my SIM card according to my previous phone (SE K810i). However, only 250 contacts were transferrred.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI wonder if I can change the default settings for my calendar to "no reminder" and also to create an event in my calendar called "SonyEricsson" instead of the calendar named after me (since only the calendar called "SonyEricsson" synchronizes with sonyericsson's server and my other phone). Now I have to change to these settings for every new event I create. And if I forget to change the calendar to SonyEricsson I can't switch it later for some weird reason.
If this is not possible, do you know what else I can do? Explanations how to sync the calendar named after me, delete this calendar so SonyEricsson is chosen as default or any other suggestions are welcome.

My alarm clock sometimes decides to snooze for an hour and 10 mins rather than 10 mins. I nearly missed work on Friday, what is going on!? I waited a long time for the X10 mini to come out and admit that I am a little dissappointed. I've had a SE W580i until recently and I am finding that there are a lot of basic things that my old phone could handle but my new one seems to struggle with.I have used my phone alarm as my only alarm clock for at least the last 5 years. I really struggle to get up in the morning and if I turn the alarm off, I'll fall straight back to sleep again, therefore I rely heavily on the phone's snooze function to wake me up eventually after going off a few times. I was initially dissappointed that you cannot personalise the snooze duration on the x10 mini, the 10 mins is usually ok for me but in certain situations I prefer to shorten it. Please consider including this in the next software update, Sony Ericsson!
But the pressing problem is the (massively) extended snooze. It happens every few days and seems to be quite random. The first few times I hit the snooze button, it works as normal. A picture of an alarm clock comes up showing the time, and a white segment of clock face is highlighted indicating how long the snooze is for (10 mins) and when it will next go off. Then, I stir due to some disturbance outside, notice that the sun is definitely brighter than it was when I was last awake, grab my phone in a panic and realise that I have been sleeping for 20 mins since the alarm last went off, and that I have less than 7 mins to get up, dressed, packed and on the bus or I will be late for work. Meanwhile my phone is cheerfully still displaying the clock face with the white segment showing that I have 40 mins left to snooze and all is well. I didn't even know it was possible for this phone to snooze for anything other than 10 mins. Unfortunately I am asleep whenever this has happened and I'm not sure how I've done it.
I have tried setting the alarm when awake and then pressing various buttons, tapping the screen in various places, even pressing and holding the snooze button or swiping it. Most of these actions do nothing and the only way to stop the alarm is to slide to turn off or press the snooze button. My theory as to what is happening is that the phone snoozes for the normal 10 mins, but then when it reaches the time to go off again, it fails to go off and then the snooze time is displayed as 50 minutes (until it reaches that time again for the next hour). I think the white segment does initially show the 10 mins, I've started checking when I hit the snooze button after it happened a few times, but I might be doing something different in my sleep somehow.
I have upgraded to android 2.1. I am unable to use sync functionality. Even when the connection is perfect and also the user login details are correct, I am unable to sync the phone data with the online data and hence the error is being shown to check the account settings.

I have en event with one our notification befor the event starts... I get the notification with the popup, after I read it I delete the statusbar entry (is this the fault?) After ~ 25mins I will get the same notification? I haven't used the calender so much before for notifications, but now it's the 3. time I notice this problem.

I have a Google Calendar that is synchronised to both my Palm and now mu X10. I notice a strange "one hour shift" issue with my X10: every appointment after the Daylight Saving Time is shifted from one hour on the X10. I figure that this is related to the way the X10 handle the daylight saving: the automatic setting for the time zone is GMT+02:00:HMG+2:00 whereas Google calendar says correctly that Paris is on the GMt+01:00 with a one hour shift due to summer time. Is there a way to fix this issue that prevent me from using the agenda?

View 2 Replies View RelatedGot my x10 mini pro this week and had to swallow three times as I'd not been exposed to android and expected a SE experience. I got the google sync to work without a problem, internet and facebook updates feeding into the timecape - great. I managed to upload my old phone's contacts onto my newly creates SE account on this website, great. Then on the x10 mini pro, I set up the sync using standard SE button, entered my details of this website, which created a default entry trying to get to sync.sonyericsson.com which I cannot change.
When I try to synchronize, (Internet connection def working), this immediately fails, does not even seem to try to connect to the sync server. Error message appears in the status bar: Could not synchronize: Sony Ericsson (which is the name of the default sync entry). I tried creating a sync entry using the SE portal, finding out the secret username/password. That got exactly the same instant response apparently not even trying.
I would like to Sync my XPERIA X10 Mini with my Outlook contacts, but cannot get PC Suite 6.0 to Connect. I can connect using PC Companion but can only copy contacts from my Phone to Internet, not from Outlook.

I have tried it for a couple of days and it works great the best all round android phone explorer, it is free but has a donate option which to be fair.
Please is it possible for me to browse the internet on my pc using my sonyericsson xperia x10 mini pro. Dont know how cause the phone doesnt support Pc suite, only Pc companion, and hence I dont know how else to do it.

The Calendar website is not secure because it is not an https site so that means all my calendar stuff is open to the web. I then tried Moxier coming with the X10, surprisingly Gmail push works in it, and a very good function in Moxier is that you can customize the periods of pushing and polling mode within the day. But I still want to know why Google sync does not work in my X10, any other people have similar problem? I actually have a Moto Quench, which could push Gmail in the beginning, but suddenly stop pushing without a reason. Finally, can someone explain how the Gmail push works in Moxier. As Moxier is based on Microsoft Exchange server, I wonder how Microsoft Exchange server synchronizes with Google, is Gmail built based on Microsoft Exchange server?

Whereas contacts sync from gmail to phone works like a charm but it does not happen the other way round.That means any new contact created in the phone does not get synced with gmail.Is this a common problem? Has anyone found any solution for it? Does an SE moderator or staff care to drop in and enlighten on this issue.
