Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini/Pro :: Cannot Sync Via Cellular Data (3G / Edge)
Oct 20, 2010Got my x10 mini pro this week and had to swallow three times as I'd not been exposed to android and expected a SE experience. I got the google sync to work without a problem, internet and facebook updates feeding into the timecape - great. I managed to upload my old phone's contacts onto my newly creates SE account on this website, great. Then on the x10 mini pro, I set up the sync using standard SE button, entered my details of this website, which created a default entry trying to get to sync.sonyericsson.com which I cannot change.
When I try to synchronize, (Internet connection def working), this immediately fails, does not even seem to try to connect to the sync server. Error message appears in the status bar: Could not synchronize: Sony Ericsson (which is the name of the default sync entry). I tried creating a sync entry using the SE portal, finding out the secret username/password. That got exactly the same instant response apparently not even trying.

Oct 17, 2010I've always had SE phones, and have just replaced my beloved C905 with a nice shiny new X10 mini pro BUT I am bitterly disappointed that I do not seem to be able to directly sync the phone's contacts and calendar directly with MS Outlook on my computer - a tool I find incredibly useful and invaluable! I may have to go back to the C905?

I have turned auto sync off and just try to do it manually�
It tries for like 5 sec then says "there is a problem with sync, it should work soon, try again" or something like that.�
Now this HAS worked before, even after I updated to 2.1, but now it just wont.�
Think its a great way to keep a backup of the contacts.�
Manual sync for Gmail in the same menu works fine.

1. I bought the new one before update software to R3AA035 - originally, can sync Only my contact, calender, and task in only 2 hours. I have some contact, but in other phone product, sync only takes 30 minutes. so special with XPeria X2 with WM 6.5

Apr 22, 2010I've been trying to connect the Xperia x10 that I received yesterday to T-Mobile data network but no joy. Everything else works ok except for the t-mobile data connection. I have tried everything, setting apn manually - even have reset the phone etc. In the mobile networks menu the Auto Internet Settings option is grayed out. This is a French phone that I got from Expanses US internet vendor. The manual is in French and its got a french wall plug. I had no clue I was buying an import as the web cite does not specify that it is an import and in the discussion with salesman it was never mentioned that it was an import but he assured me it had a us warranty and was able to connect 3g to t-mobile therefore I assumed it was a US phone. Sony Ericsson tells me this phone is not yet released in US.

When the "Data Traffic" arrow is selected in the Mobile network settings the icon disappears from the toolbar at the top, but when it is not selected the icon appears. Even wen it is set to 'eneabled' my fone will now not:
- roam for signal
- download apps
It was never there to start with and everthing was fine!
How do I get it to go back to normal?
