Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Strange Symbol Instead Of 3G
Dec 2, 2010Like most users, I usually get a "G" or "3G" icon in the top bar, depending on coverage. However occasionally I get a strange symbol which is either a "E" or a "�" (too small to determine which!) what this symbol is and what it means?

I was playing about with multi con and cleared my home screen but then tried to get them all back and the only one I'm having trouble with is anycut i can't find it on the market the app symbol was a musical note (a cleff I think its called) it let me make playlists and put them in the shortcut.

Sep 15, 2010I was surprised that SONY is not providing a software which enables the user to sync the Xperia X10 mini pro directly with your computer (e.g. Outlook).
After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.

Nov 18, 2010I made a account on the community of sony erricsson so i can sync and update my data from the net.
The first sync of contacts, calander etc was oke.
But since a couple of days i cannot sync my contact with Sony Ericsson, i Tried to connect but always the same : sync failed .
Checked the internet connection and al seems working properly, gmail sync oke, all oke except the sync with Sony Ericcson.Any a idea how to resolve the problem .
Perhaps a setting but seems strange because nothing as changed since the first time.

It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.

Dec 2, 2010I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

Jul 19, 2010Does anyone else get this error message from time to time? Its very annoying and happens at the worst time (ie when a really super photo shot happens).I either have to reboot my phone before it will comes right or alternatively I have to keep trying to reload the camera and sometimes on about the 4th or 5th attempt it comes right.Can this be rectified? Is it a setting i have wrong? This is such an amazing phone, but man oh man, does it have some bugs that need to be worked out

Sep 22, 2010I recently went through a process recommended by Sony Support to download latest software update to my X10 (depite the fact that the inbuilt update process repeatedly informed me I had the latest software.) Now when i use the inbuilt procedure od SETTINGS/About Phone/Software update/ Update Now (with the WiFi & mobile networks setting selected) my X10 helpfully tells me "your phone will now search to see if any new sofware is available". After a few seconds it then informs me "Could not update - network error".

Jul 20, 2010I have an Sony Ericcson x10i, and i just Syncronised my telephone.
I updated to the firmware .27 just a few days ago, and i had lots of new Contacts in my phone, BEFORE i updated.
And then i updated to 27, and all my contacts were removed ( at the time i had no clue i had all the contacts on SE.com database ) so i copied my old contacts from my SIM-card, and just before i synced i saw all my mew contacts from before i updated the telephone in my database, but now when the telephone synced again it replaced all the new contacts in my database with my old contacts from my SIM-card wich i copied into the phone after the update. how i can get my old database back from SE.com `?

Nov 14, 2010Before doing the 2.1 Update I setup the Sync account with SE and Sync'ed my X10 for the first time. I did this with the phone connected to the PC and used PC Companion to start the process. All went well. I can navigate to the web page with my PC and seem my contacts, calander, etc. After updating my X10 to 2.1 I thought I would be able to resync and load my stuff back on the phone. I have tried it with the phone conncected to the PC and with the phone just by itself and I get the same results - Failure to Sync message. I have given the phone the account name and Pw but so far nothing. It's almost as if a Sync created in 1.6 will not download to a 2.1 phone but that would be silly wouldn't it?? Has anyone else got this to Sync to work after the upgrade?

Jul 6, 2010When I try to make a call, I select a number and it displays "Dialing", then I wait few seconds and it displays "Call ended" and ends the call.No dialing tone or anything.It does it a lot.And people cannot get hold of me as well. Therefore I miss a lot of calls.I tried switching my SIM card to another phone and its better.Anything I can do? SO annoying, damn expensive phone and cannot use it properly.I am on Three network, UK.
