I have got a sync account and followed the instructions and it has told me that my contacts have be sent .... but account does not show them and phone says sync faild but online account shows phone has been sync'd!

How have SE managed to make such a simple task turn into a complete shambles? My experience of SE sync are:-
1. Being told that it doesnt work over Wifi? Why the hell not?!
2. It adding mutltiple entries for the same number in the same contact
3. It adding the same contact multiple times
4. Not being able to log in
5. Now not being able to make it stop syncing (or trying!) even when I have deleted the bloody account!!!!!!!
I have never been more disappointed with ANY product I have ever bought. In Halfords today and had to end the phone call because I couldnt hear who I was talking to. Pathetic.
I have an Xperia X10i with Android 2.1 in it.I have enabled contact sync between my gmail and phone contacts. Whereas contacts sync from gmail to phone works like a charm but it does not happen the other way round.That means any new contact created in the phone does not get synced with gmail.Is this a common problem? Has anyone found any solution for it? Does an SE moderator or staff care to drop in and enlighten on this issue.

After wasting a lot of time I generated an account at Sony webpage and managed all my accounts including "birthday" but now I found out that the
phone is not creating a corresponding calendar entry and therefore my phone is not reminding me for any birthday.
I made a account on the community of sony erricsson so i can sync and update my data from the net.
The first sync of contacts, calander etc was oke.
But since a couple of days i cannot sync my contact with Sony Ericsson, i Tried to connect but always the same : sync failed .
Checked the internet connection and al seems working properly, gmail sync oke, all oke except the sync with Sony Ericcson.Any a idea how to resolve the problem .
Perhaps a setting but seems strange because nothing as changed since the first time.
I saw that there are already a number of discussions about sony erricson synchronization but I cannot find one for this specific message: Synchronization failed. It wouldn't tell me why it failed, it just spits out that generic message after I click "Finish" in the Sony Ericsson Sync Client Wizard.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

I have installed Sony Ericsson PC Companion on my computer and I managed to add new contacts by adding them on my pc and then sync-ing which updated the contacts on my phone! I updated to the firmware .27 just a few days ago, and i had lots of new Contacts in my phone, BEFORE i updated.
And then i updated to 27, and all my contacts were removed ( at the time i had no clue i had all the contacts on SE.com database ) so i copied my old contacts from my SIM-card, and just before i synced i saw all my mew contacts from before i updated the telephone in my database, but now when the telephone synced again it replaced all the new contacts in my database with my old contacts from my SIM-card wich i copied into the phone after the update. how i can get my old database back from SE.com `?
Does anyone else have a problem with downloaded video files and the sound being out sync? Tried numerous files and players, but the sound lags the pic enough to be bloody annoying!I've tried Mediascape, Act 1 and mVideo, al with same result.
View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore doing the 2.1 Update I setup the Sync account with SE and Sync'ed my X10 for the first time. I did this with the phone connected to the PC and used PC Companion to start the process. All went well. I can navigate to the web page with my PC and seem my contacts, calander, etc. After updating my X10 to 2.1 I thought I would be able to resync and load my stuff back on the phone. I have tried it with the phone conncected to the PC and with the phone just by itself and I get the same results - Failure to Sync message. I have given the phone the account name and Pw but so far nothing. It's almost as if a Sync created in 1.6 will not download to a 2.1 phone but that would be silly wouldn't it?? Has anyone else got this to Sync to work after the upgrade?

After a week I am starting to hate this phone. I thought that ITunes was terrible, well all the non working together components of this phone make it a bad purchase.
Media Go is so bug filled as to make other media programs look like super stars.
I've just got the x10 last week and was wondering which messenger app was good to use. I know BBM won't work outside of blackberry phones, so I went around searching what apps would work. I've found stuff like PingChat!, Kik, WhatsApp, TextOne...can you guys give me some advice as to which one is the most user-friendly and uses the least data? (I'm on a limited data plan). My main desire for a messenger app on the android is to send msgs to my friends internationally without paying for international text messaging! Please give me your opinions!

Have tried setting the alarm for Mon - Fri, everyday or weekend but whatever I do the alarm does not go off. I have checked the basic things - time setting, alarm tune, alarm time setting, ticked the relevant box (have tried every day or mon- fri) and no matter what I do the alarm will not go off so thus is very unreliable. Is there a fix for this or is there an app that I can download that will provide me with a fully functioning alarm that works as and when I want it to. Has this happened to you at all? I am currently running 1.6 but from some of the horror stories I read I am to upgrade to a higher version - if in fact I can do it or trust myself to not lose patience when the whole thing goes pear shaped.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHi all, I try to download some apps and i am not getting anywhere, when to market find the app i want and press install. it says starting download.. but the bar is not moving (blue bar at the top) and nothing happens, I waited 1 hour and still nothing, how long dones it take to download? i try cancel and press install a few time but it's the same every time. is the blue bar supposed to move?
