I have the kill app program, but that doesn't work automatically. The best way is to kill the unnecessary apps that load when the phone starts and persistently load themselves at intervals.Is there a way or an apk to download to select the apps that we allow to auto-run? All without rooting, if at all possible.

New to this forum and back to SE with my Xperia after a few years with LG. Love my fone so far, but had not too much time playing with it so far, but one thing that bugs me is that my screen auto lock straight after a call even if I am not back to my home screen, how can I stop it to do this. Reason is that when I unlock it again, I am at the previous screen, I have then to cancel screens to go back to my home page to start again, this is a pain.

I find that everytime I open and application it I can not close it down it just runs in the background. I have tried force stop and that does not work so what is the answer?The more apps you have running the more it kills the battery life. Apple have released one for the iphone so I can not see it being a big problem to have one for the X10 users or I am missing a trick somewhere?

I~s there anything I can do to solve these minor errors.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAccording to my "What's using the Battery" function, my radio has been on for 4 days, but if I select the Radio App itself, it is switched off on the screen. I've tried the "Force Off" function under Apps Settings, but still the Battery-use screen shows the radio as running. Is there a way to quickly check what apps are running in the background, and - preferably - easily switch them off?

Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?
First: I can't turn it on. When I press the on button my phone just vibrates (like those of the initial stage of turning on the phone) but there is no sony ericsson logo that appears and there's even no light in my keypads.
Second: I can't charge. I plugged my phone in the USB charger and only one red blink of light appeared, this appears like in a span of every 20 secs plugged in and not the normal charging light for my phone. I tried cleaning the ports for the USB charger even my batteries but still it doesn't work.
IM A DIE HARD FAN OF SONY PRODUCTS & USING SONY MOBILES FOR PAST 6 YEARS. My 1st mobile was 610T then 910i then 990i & then X1. Nw i got new X10 on 26th april2010 bt nw facing problems with it since 30/06/10. Its not starting up. It turns off & restarts by itself,had given it to the sonyericsson service centre on 30th June'10 at Jaipur (Raj). But till nw they hv not been able to resolve the issue. SO IM BACK TO MY X1 NW.

I can connect to the hands free but I have to manualy reconnect everytime I get into the car. View 9 Replies View RelatedI usually tap the off button to turn off the screen when I put my phone inside my front pants pocket. I even have the security feature on so when I turn on the phone, I first have to draw a pattern to unlock it. However, I've noticed that sometimes after I've done all this, my X10 seems to be doing stuff on it's own, ie) downloading pic from the net, sending random text messages, randomly calling contacts. I know because sometimes after I "unlock" my phone, I see that the phone is in the middle of doing something. I thought by turning on the security feature, it's supposed to prevent accidental taps on the phone and doing random things while inside the pocket.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy manager has just bought himself a new Xperia X10 and he has setup the bluetooth connection, however when its paired to the laptop and a call comes in the laptop automatically answers the phone for him, so he has to switch the bluetooth off on his laptop until he needs it. Is there an option either on the laptop (Win XP SP3) or on the phone to stop this happening, the only features he really needs are file transfer and to use it as a modem.

It started always with the music selection and I havn't any chance to select another categorie. I made a software update for the firmware. I reinstalled PlayNow. But nothing changed. I have the german version and the mobile isn't branded. Furthermore the firmware is 1.6, baseband version 1.0.14 kernel version 2.6.29-rel with build number R1FA014.Please can you help me to get this application running?

I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and anticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy X10 doesn't like charging to 100%, whenever I leave it charging for long periods of time (ex. overnight) the battery will never be at 100%, it will stop at around 95%, then it will stop charging (the icon still shows charging but the battery life slowly goes down). The only way I can get it to 100% is if I unplug the charger for a few seconds, then plug it back in, then it will charge up full.

When I recieve a message and open the message to read it, the music signal tune won't stop and it's keep on going on and on and on, there is no way to stop it.
