Hey guys ive just got my x10 yesturday the phone is geat but one problem every once and a while the 3 buttons on the front just stop working and i have to reboot my phone for them to start working again. Is anyone else having this problem, is my phone just faulty?

I only got my X10 just over a week ago and the menu, home and back buttons on the bottom were randomly not working and it's only becoming more and more consistant. It's driving me nuts and it's especially frustrating since it's a brand new phone. I can't find anything on the internet and yes my phone software is upgraded. The guy at Rogers was like oh welllll guess you'll just have to wait 2 weeks until the next upgrade then MAYBE it will work again.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI've only had the X10a for about a week.Everything was working fine.However, I'm starting to have issues with the three menu buttons at the bottom.I will power up my phone, and the buttons will work for about 5 minutes.Then the two LED lights between the buttons will just randomly shine one time (even though I did not press a key) and go off.Once they go off, and I try to press a key, nothing works.The LEDs don't come on, and none of the buttons work.Does anyone have any idea what might be going on? This just started happening to me today.I really would appreciate any help, as I can't really use my phone right now in its current state!
View 3 Replies View Relatedrecently the bottom buttons (ie. menu, back, etc) arent working as well as the side ones.I can only use the screen.Upon turning on the phone the buttons will work for a maximum 2 minutes and then I have to rely on the screen.I tried repairing and reinstalling everything but it didnt work.Ive also read that it could be from holding the camera button down but that is not the case.

Also when i press the back button all it does is close the app rather then going back. Which is what the middle button should be doing.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy girlfriend just got an x10 to match mine and for some reason every once and a while, the 3 buttons at the bottom completely stop working. At first I thought the phone froze but I could still use the on-screen keyboard and press whatever I wanted on screen but the 3 buttons wouldn't work oO This has NEVER happened with my phone.
After searching around a bit, I only found one solution which was "if you have a gel phone cover, take it off and see if it works." We tried that and it seems (so far, for an hour or so) that it's working fine. That doesn't make much sense to me as we have the same phone and the same cover - just a different colour. Anyone had this problem before? Should we be bringing the phone back or is there something I'm overlooking?
I checked around for a while but couldn't find an answer tot his one. Is there any way to disable the hardware buttons when the screen is turned off? It keeps getting turned on in my pocket and draining the battery.

I went to "Your Stuff" "Preferences" and anticked all the notifications and pressed save but I get an error message when I try to save my preferences. THEY WON'T TURN OFF!
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy X10 doesn't like charging to 100%, whenever I leave it charging for long periods of time (ex. overnight) the battery will never be at 100%, it will stop at around 95%, then it will stop charging (the icon still shows charging but the battery life slowly goes down). The only way I can get it to 100% is if I unplug the charger for a few seconds, then plug it back in, then it will charge up full.
View 2 Replies View RelatedHi there, I have a Xperia X10 mini, the problem I have is: I set a song from my music libery as a signal for the sms (text messaging) when I recieve one. When I recieve a message and open the message to read it, the music signal tune won't stop and it's keep on going on and on and on, there is no way to stop it.
I have tried the task killer and that does not seem to stop the applications running. I find that everytime I open and application it I can not close it down it just runs in the background. I have tried force stop and that does not work so what is the answer?The more apps you have running the more it kills the battery life. Apple have released one for the iphone so I can not see it being a big problem to have one for the X10 users or I am missing a trick somewhere?

Love my fone so far, but had not too much time playing with it so far, but one thing that bugs me is that my screen auto lock straight after a call even if I am not back to my home screen, how can I stop it to do this. Reason is that when I unlock it again, I am at the previous screen, I have then to cancel screens to go back to my home page to start again, this is a pain.

First, I thought people where crazy, sending me the same sms two or three times in a row. But now I've realized that they aren't, it's just my phone that receives them over and over again. It is the same thing with notifications. If I set a reminder in the calendar, the reminder pops up in my notification bar sometimes five or six times before I get to angry and delete the whole event from the calendar. Is these problems specific to me or do anyone else recognize them?

View 2 Replies View RelatedOk basically i've set a song as my tone for notification and it works fine.... except that when i recive an SMS etc it playes the whole song regarless whether i view the SMS or not and refuses to stop :? this is rather annoying meaning i have to put my phone on silent till the song has finished :/ On my old SE phone the music stopped as soon as i had viewed the SMS. What is todo to stop calendar notification from repeating? Do I something wrong or why get I more than one notifications? I have en event with one our notification befor the event starts... I get the notification with the popup, after I read it I delete the statusbar entry (is this the fault?) After ~ 25mins I will get the same notification? I haven't used the calender so much before for notifications, but now it's the 3. time I notice this problem.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen im typing and its suggesting a word if i click the next key it draws a small circle. if i want to move to the next word i need to either click on the suggested word; press space; or press the back key then go front again. any way to fix this? i know alot of you will say get the htc but i gave it a try and surprisingly (dont bash me) i liked the original more. i would have stuck to htc but when i tried changing key sizes (height or width) it wouldnt let me. my only problem with the keyboard is having big fingers i missclick alot, something i never had an issue with on the iphone (once again dont bash me). so in conclusion i guess what im asking is 1. can i stop the keyboard from entering circles everytime i press next. 2. how can i change key type on htc (i know its in setting but it didnt work). 3. anyone know of another keyboard that has larger/spaced out keys like the iphone?
