Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: X10 Stuck At Sony Ericsson Boot Screen
Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

Oct 14, 2010I have a big problem,it happens once a day(it happend before MR1,with MR1,and with MR2). Cant unlock the screen,when I need to drag padlock left or right it just cant,padlock stays on the left or right side, I can get it back to the middle but unlock - NO (sometimes it promts for some ''unlock code'' but it is not usual lock code as I never set a lock code) and in mean while if you receive a call from some one he complained later on that why didn't you receive the phone, my answer is always that phone never vibrate or ring but when i check the miss call log the call was really there.
The only temporary solution is soft reset. Somebody have something to say?

Sep 21, 2010I've had my X10 for coming to 3 weeks now. Absolutely love it and all...... but there are some issues.
Most recently, I mean 2 days ago, I attempt to take a picture and I get a message "camera unavailable" and I can't access anything.
I checked the version, and my phone has Camera v1 and v4 installed (from the update).
I'd really love to try and get this dealt with sicne the camera is pretty good on it
Does anyone know how to reinstall the camera?

Nov 19, 2010I was deleting a sms thread from a particular person, when at the same time, this person sent me a SMS. I was not able to open the SMS by tapping on the envelope icon on the notification, however I am able to clear it from the notification. BUT each time I receive a SMS this notification pops up again, so each time i have to clear this msg. What can i do to get rid of it?

Aug 31, 2010i have a brand-new x10 mini that appears to be stuck in a loop. it boots up fine until i get the "data traffic enabled" message in the notification bar and then the phone freezes. sometimes the time continues to update normally but the phone is completely unresponsive, sometimes the phone restarts itself. if i press the power button and the centre button, the phone reboots but gets stuck in the same cycle. i have installed the companion software and the phone is detected but cannot connect i have also tried another 02 sim (the phone is locked to o2) without success.

Nov 15, 2010Can anyone recommend a decent (preferably free) 3g process monitor for my still-stuck-on-1.6 X10?
I already have a general data counter - I use NetCounter - but I want something that shows me which processes or apps are using 3g in real time.
The reason is that something on my phone is regularly up and downloading through 3g. It's not using much data, but it is doing it often and running down my battery. I've checked all the usual suspects to see whether updates are turned on, but it's none of them.
I suspect that I've installed something new that's doing it, but I can't find what it is. I could uninstall everything and build my apps back up one by one, but a 3g process monitor should tell me exactly what's going on.
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 : SE Mini Pro Stuck At Logo
Sep 29, 2010My phone looks like a tiny brick now. I can't reset it, I can't upgrade/fix/repair because it's stuck at the SE logo. It happened after internet browsing I've been prompted to forcefully close the browser, then later on it wants me to close the SE home app, then finally it's reset and I can only see until the SE logo.
I tried removing the battery for more than 10 secs, pluggin the usb cable while pressing back - still can't connect to pc. I tried holding down power+home, nothing.
Is there a hard reset button somewhere I can use? I'd rather reset everything with all my data than send it over to SE support since that means it'll take weeks with no phone.

Jun 8, 2010Now I know this has been brought up before and I've followed the advice: tried turning on Google Talk, rebooting etc. In fact I can rarely get GT to sign in either but even when I do, it makes no difference to the apps I'm trying to download. When I first got the phone, I managed to download a couple of apps without problems but now I can't. Everything gets stuck on 'starting download' whatever I do. I'm trying it on a wireless network as it's rare I can get 3GS up.

Aug 28, 2010Well having just got a X10. It has a pre-installed screen protector. Somehow I managed to scratch the screen protector and now I want to remove it however I'm having much difficulty removing it. Now I'm thinking if I should get a replacement screen protector as the Rogers version doesn't come with a spare one or just go without it. Anyone without the screen protector wanna add input about the durability of the mineral glass screen? I know that the screen on the iPod Touch 2G is very durable since I own one without having a protector on but I want to know if the X10s screen is just as durable.

Dec 2, 2010This was reported in the other thread about X8 Issues, but thought to start a new one to gather feedback from users. It's about the ''black screen'' freezing issue encountered by some users. I have had this several times since owning the phone for a few weeks, so it is a recurring issue. Problem: The phone hangs or appears to be shut down or become unresponsive suddenly. Pressing the hardware buttons doesn't help as the phone doesn't react at all. Solution: Take out cover and battery and restart.Observations: From my own observations, it's not actually a shutdown but a major freezing/hanging. Sometimes when it happens, I can still see vague shades of the display at an angle. After leaving the phone for a while in the pocket, the phone comes back to normal again. Not sure if this is true for all users with this problem. Anyway, gathering more feedback to see how prevalent the problem is, to evaluate whether I should take it to the SE service centre, or whether doing so will help at all.

Dec 2, 2010I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

Nov 6, 2010Over all of xperia x10 is quite good, nice design, awesome OS , 8.1 camera, very useful media/time scape and a huge 4'' screen.Despite its large screen, the only thing that bring the rating down is the 65k colours. No multi-touch input is all right because most phone out there still having the same capacitive touchscreen, but the 65 colours is really unforgiven.

There are no 16m colours screen anymore. I though no 16m is because software limitation but not its a HARDWARE issue. The different is so much obvious when I view a same picture and a video with Vivaz. Image projection wit x10 look dull but Vivaz picture look better, brighter (set to full brightness) and the colour look richer/darker when viewing the same video. I hope the announcement from the blog is not true, and hope that x10 is 16m colours ready as stated in GSM ARENA review [url] . BUT, overall of this phone are pretty impressive,and actually im having 1 of this. Everything from in and out is pretty good and awesome. Hope everyone in this forum could give their point of view or opinion on the 65k colours screen and wish SE could confirm with us that wheather its 16m ready.

Nov 11, 2010Just picked up my phone there and the screen unlocked as soon as I pressed the Home button. For some reason there is no Lock Screen coming up, though I have not changed any settings.
I have pressed the Power button to lock the screen so I could re-try it, still no lock screen coming up. Anyone else encountered this problem? Any idea how to fix it?
