Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Application Missing After R2BA020 Update

Have just updated my X10 with the over the air software update. All went well and wanted to start a fresh so did a hard reset. Now when I go to the market there are a lot of apps missing (both free and purchased) such as 3G Watchdog, Meridian, Gem Miner. Anyone else experienced this, have made sure my location is the UK but still they are nowhere to be found even when searching for them (can find the free Gem Miner but not the full paid for version).

Just recently update my phone to the latest build. Now TrackID force closes every time I try to use it. Is anybody else having this issue. or bet yet a solution? I have tried re-installing update.

I have a no-brand (full price, 499 €) X10 bought in Italy as soon as released on the market. I still have the old R1FA014 firmware, and both SEUS and the OTA application say that I already have the most recent firmware. However the rest of the world had R1FA016 and now some operator-branded phones are receiving R2BA020 firmware. How it is possible that branded phones are receiving the update before full price unbranded phones? I'm so dissatisfied with Sony Ericsson. I always had Ericsson phones, but now I'm really disappointed.

I upgraded the firmware on my X10 to R2BA020 (Rogers) last weekend, and have noticed that ever since, maintaining a 3G data connection seems to drain my battery much quicker than it used to under the same conditions. I tend to tether my X10 to my laptop using PdaNet at work. Whereas doing so under the old 014 stock firmware would result in my battery dropping from 95% to 55-60% over the coarse of my 9-5 workday, it now drops to 55% by noon. I have verified that my X10 is indeed charging over the USB connection to my laptop, and nothing other than the firmware has changed. So I'm not quite sure what the issue might be.

I've just downloaded the latest update to my phone and I'm now unable to download any apps. I can select the app to download but when i select it the phone says 'starting download' and doesn't actually download anything.

Thinking of getting the Xperia X10 but waiting for 2.1 to come out first and see the response from this crowd (sorry for using you guys as guinea pigs. but all this talk about lack of MT but what will I truly be missing without it other than certain games. As an addition to that are there games out there that use don't use multitouch? I'm not looking for my Android to be a gaming device, I have my PS3 and my computer for that but I would like to play SOME games on it.
But, the main gist of this all is is the lack of MT really a problem? I know in this day and age, MT is taken for granted but yeah, is the phone severely crippling without it? I hope to be an Xperia X10 adopter soon.
EDIT: The title should be "what will I be missing without MT?" Damn you English! ;_;

I have a x10 mini. Does anyone out there have a problem with the media player not displaying the album cover. Transfering the music is fine and it plays fine but most of the album artwork is missing. Only one album displays the cover art.Any ideas on how to fix this?

I just got the X10 not long ago. Literally only a week ago to be honest. I could have sworn I saw the playnow service on there when I first booted it up. I performed an update like I was told by my provider (Rogers here in Canada) and it said there were no new updates. But when I looked just the other day the Playnow icon is missing from the Application folder. which describes others loosing the Icon as well. I've walked through it and I'm not finding it.The last post suggests going to http://m.sonyericsson.com/sam-resetplaynow through the mobile browser on the phone. What I get is a message from the sony ericsson site stating that the page has been moved or no longer exists.Is there a way to get this service back without unlocking my phone? I'll unlock it if I have to, but I really hope its not necessary.

I am a Singaporean and I fly to Dubai often for business. Couple of days back I picked up the Sony Xperia X10 Mini Pro at the Dubai Duty Free only to realise after I come home that there is no Android Market application installed on the phone! This is absolutely ridicious, why would I buy an android phone if I cannot access the marketplace? Also if this is the case, it should be clearly highlighted and not sold in places like duty free where you have visitors/travellers and not always the residents of that particular country purchasing the mobiles.

I used the default 'Notes' app in 1.6 to store lots of info (and my gf's xmas list!) and now in 2.1 it's empty.
I used the backup/restore and even ZIPped my SDCard separately in case of data loss but cannot work out how to retrieve my notes.

I see in some videos the google search bar in 2.1 is suppsoed to to have the little microphone icon to activate voice search. I flashed 2.1 rodgers firmare onto my x10a and when the phone boots I can see the icon for a few seconds then it deisapears!! Anyone else with the same problem? Was it something taken out by rodgers in their version of firmware?

when I tap the contacts icon on the bottom of the screen, my contacts are not there, only my own name. I can search for names in messaging and everyone from my phone contacts, to my facebook friends and even Fearne cotton from twitter is there! I would like just my phone contacts visible in my phone book. I've tried to back up contacts from before the software update yesterday, and it takes ages to get through to 100% but the names are still missing.

I have alot (and I mean ALOT) of apps on my Xperia, so I get around 5 app updates a day, which is now starting to agitate me because most of them are the same apps everyday needing updates.
Today I heard about an update for the market that includes an auto update feature for installed apps. But I, like many others, do not see this option on the market.
Does anyone have any idea how to get it? or if I can't get it, when can I?

On the applications screen, (the one which you drag up from the bottom of the home screen), is there any way to create folders there and re-organise the position of apps? I know that you can create folders on the home screens, but this isn't what I want to do. I would love to be able to create a folder that I can dump all of the programs I will never use but which Sony will not allow me to delete, (you know the ones - moxier etc!!)

i found out that the update to 2.1 is here on three uk now when i try to update my phone using pc companion or SEUS it freezes my computer. i get to the point were i turn the phone off and turn it back on holding the back button but nothing happens and my computer just freezes up any help with this one? i am on sony ericsson x10

I decided to un-root my phone and upgrade to 026 firmware. Now tho, I seem to have "misplaced" my contacts "app/icon".
Anyone have any ideas how I can get this back into my app drawer? All my contacts are there, but no way to access them.

And don't tell us something about "secrets" SE has, 2.2 is out for weeks, every other comparable android phone has it. So not saying anytinh about 2.2 means the X10 won't get it and is dumped after the 2.1 update. SE I will never waste again 500â

As you've probably guessed this is regarding not having the G mail account details to unlock my phone. I have looked through the threads on this site (amongst countless others) and nothing has been overly helpful so I figured I'd just ask Basically, I have locked myself out of my phone and can't remember the G mail details required to unlock it. Most people keep replying with "Do a software update using PC Companion" but this doesn't make sense to me as you need to have your phone unlocked to be able to connect your phone to it so that doesn't work (unless there is something painstakingly obvious that I'm overlooking?) I've done the obvious things; taking out the battery, taking out the SIM, trying every single email/password combination I've ever used but nothing is working.

I got my update 3 days ago, and now I dont feel my x10 anymore. Its not special anymore.. Anybody knows how to go back to 1.6? I got unlocked rogers phone in Canada. My battery used to go almost 3 days, now not even 24 hrs!! It does NOT charge more than %91.. Texting is so harder now, touchscreen is sooooo sensitive. app. menu sucks.

I found out today that three have released 2.1 but when I tried to update using pc companion it just stops and nothin happens after I have done the steps were I have to turn phone off wait 5 seconds an all that stuff. What do o do?
