Need an app for my D Inc that will go into a quite profile with no ringer, vibrate only, etc, then come out of it by time. So example when at work its quit, but when its time to leave work it comes back to normal by itself without me having to remember to put it into quite.Thanks guys, been looking, but can't seem to find what I had. I came from Nokia S60. They had this nailed.

I got this app and it looks pretty cool but I mean they don't really give you an explanation on how to use it and I am all lost and confused.Can anyone recomend any good suggestions to get started? Any place where I can get a tutorial?I guess my main questions are how do I set up a default setting and how can I have bluetooth set to activate only when in a car?

View 20 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for an app that will allow me to set up different profiles for phone settings that can be switched easily by choosing a "profile" from a list.I DON'T want Locale. i want to be able to do this by choosing from a list, NOT based on my location.For example, a user could set up a Power Saver profile, a Power User profile, an Online Profile, etc. Each of these profiles should be customizable. For example, I should be able to customize the "Power Saver" profile to the power settings I want (ie. Screen brightness, WiFi off, Bluetooth Off, Syncing Off, etc).Is there anything like this? Ideally I'm hoping for something that has a free version, as I am in Canada and we can't get paid apps yet.For the record, I am using Useful Switchers, but I don't want to have to go through all the various steps each time I want to go back and forth from power saving and using my phone online.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to set different bluetooth, screen timeout, and profile settings for each scene on the Evo? I use Pandora and the music player in the car. The problem is my bluetooth headset is set to play media audio so I have to change that every time I get in and out of the car. And I don't want the display shutting off either, so I have to change that every time I get in and out of the car. While I'm at it, is there a way to set a different profile (vibrate, normal, silent) on different Scenes? That's another thing that I find myself manually changing more often than I would like. I'm thinking the "Scenes" feature of Sense would be ideal for this. Just set up the apps you want, the profile settings, display settings, etc, and save that Scene. But I can't make it save any settings other than the wallpaper and widgets/shortuts.Does anyone know how I could go about this? Even is it's not possible in Sense, is there another way to do it?

I'm playing around with SetCPU and wondering if anyone has any suggestions for the min/max settings within the profile. I don't want to fry my phone, so if there's someone with experience with a kernel with similar capabilities who would be so kind as to share his profile settings.

I have looked into the profiles but I find it a bit confusing. If you set your minimum for the main screen to 500 on demand, none of the profiles when enabled will be able to go below this?
What profiles do you use and why if you don't mind me asking?
Charging Full (If it is charging why do I care if it moves from 500?)
Charging AC/Full (waste of time, don't understand the diff/between above)
Charging USB/Full (same as above)
Screen Off (set to my min clock speed?)
Battery (issue or non issue? I don't want to have my performance knocked back when I drop below 50%)
Temp (should I be worried? and at what temp?)
Can you just use some of those and they will combine with the max/min settings on the main screen?
What are my advantages and disadvantages?
Am I wasting battery jumping between 500/900? Should the values be closer?
When I have the phone on "On Demand" no matter what setting it is a bit leggy when I restart the phone (even if it is set to 900/900). When I set it to performance 900/900 it snaps right into place. "On demand" and turning on the phone is the only place I ever really notice a lag.
Did anyone else get the notification that there is an update for the phone but when you say updated it times out? its been doing this all morning.... and its now interrupting my music player.

I checked all the literature on the DI that I could find and don't see A2DP listed anywhere. I searched the forums and found some info regarding the Hero and Motorola Droid, but nothing on the DI. I did read where the Hero with Sense UI had some issues with 3rd party apps and A2DP, but that the native Sense UI music app worked fine. Can someone enlighten me on A2DP and the DI please?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI use Google contacts as my only/primary contacts on my HTC Droid Incredible. However, I also linked several of my contacts to their facebook profiles. When I created these links, the profile picture (in the phone) changed to their facebook photo. I knew how to change it back to the photo in Google, and did so for each contact. However, every time my facebook friends post anything, the profile picture in my phone changes back to the facebook photo. Is there any way to stop this annoying behavior?

When I stay in a hotel I like to set my phone to turn off all notifications except the ringer for incoming calls. Is there a quick, easy way to do this? My blackberry Storm had this as an easy to access option.

I miss more calls because of this than any other reason. A co-worker has the Moto Droid and that thing will vibrate so hard the phone will move across the desk. My Treo when locked, would only show the time, My name and a telephone number. In the case I lost it, some good samaritan could contact me when they realize the phone was useless with out the PIN.

Two issues that are bugging me...
1) Is there a way to avoid notification sounds to take place during media playback, mainly music player, without having to change my sounds profile to silent, or vibrate?
2) All of a sudden my phone is taking a little long to load SMS conversations. Is there a way to fix that? I feel as though my Snapdragon shouldn't lag when I open a text.
In my Android application I am getting a very strange crash, when I press a button (Image) on my UI the entire application freezes and after a couple of seconds I getthe dreaded force close dialog appearing.
Here is what gets printed in the log:

If I comment the following out the pressing of the button (image) doesn't cause the crash:

The above code calls down through several levels of the app and into the native layer (NDK), could the call passing through several objects be leading to the force close? It seems unlikely as several other buttons do the same without issue.
How about the native layer? Could some code I've built with the NDK be causing the issue?
I'm writing an app, that lets users subscribe to notification for TV transmissions. Currently the user can choose email, sms or push, but it all feels a bit overkill for a simple timed notification. I wonder if I can tell Android to simply "show this Notification at 11:30"?

I've made sure with the users that they have Internet connection, you can see that it takes ~10 minutes before I get a timeout so this isn't just a momentary thing, and on top of this, I check for license several times before deciding that this is invalid.
Looking for an app that will give me 0-60, 1/4 mike times, etc. what is a good one?

The application seems to stop, but I get the following message and I'm not sure what it means: WARN/SurfaceComposerClient(2106): lock_layer timed out (is the CPU pegged?) layer=1, lcblk=0x424800a0, state=00000043 (was 00000043). I see others have had this issue, but I don't see a solution or explanation (that I can understand :-) ).
