I installed launcher pro on my vibrant and I love pretty much everything about it. but I lost my feeds and updates screen on one of my home screens that displayed stuff from facebook and such. It came installed on the phone so I don't know how to reinstall it on one of my launcher pro home screens.

How can I get the default facebook widget on launcher pro? I'm not sure if it is actually a facebook widget, I think it was the accounts widget? Where you can sync with your gmail, my space, facebook etc; I installed Launcher Pro and can't find it anywhere.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a kernal on ryans lag fix and then it made my phone get stuck on the VIBRANT SAMSUNG screen so i tried to fix it by using odin, but all it did was make it go to the Galaxy s sign now, any suggestions on how i can fix this? Everything seemed ok at first until i went to my homescreen, total blackness. View 5 Replies View RelatedThe vibrant is advertised as 16gb internal memory, however after all of whatever is on the 16gb we're left with about 12.75 give or take of room left. Now i see that 2gb is apparently reserved for apps and the like, while the other is for music,movies, and so on. here is where my questions begin...
What if I have more than 2gb of apps and games to install? Will it not let me or will it partition more room? I think its kind of stupid to have a phone with this much internal memory and only let 2gb of it be for apps and games, that is absolutely stupid. I may consider activating my 14 day buyers remouse should this be the case. (and its not really 2gb, its 1.58gb)
I do plan on getting an 8gb+ class 4 or above microsd card, can i install apps to this WITHOUT rooting? or is rooting needed?I really, REALLY, hope im not screwed over with only 2gb of wiggle room for apps and games. that will definately put a halt on things.

Most apps are well under 5MB, so you can easily install 500 to 1000 apps on your phone.Android 2.2 is due out for these phones in September, which allows you to move apps onto the 14GB partition if you need/want to."Any truth to being able to move apps to the bigger partition? Becuase this would definately put my mind at ease.I also read that its not your choice if you can, the developer has to enable it in said application. so that it gives you a choice of where to save it, or you can move it at a later date.
I did notice, however, that Asphalt 5 was 8mb but required 103mb of additional data to be downloaded. i was worried it would save it to the whimpy 1.58gb of space but alas, it was smarter than that, and saved it on to the 12gb part. But if the option in all/certain apps is to save it to sd (or in the vibrants case, the 12gb partition sd space, or an external SD card) that would be HUGE.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Vibrant and all I want to do is upload my photos that I've taken. I plug in the phone in the USB and it tries to install the drivers. But each time Failed. What am I doing wrong? I've only had the phone a week. I am ready to take it back.

I'd like to fix it without a factory reset, if possible.Galaxy S, Android 2.1, bought in Singapore, SingTel settings but bought it unlocked. Currently in Indonesia. (Can't look up Baseband Version, Kernel Version and Build Number on the phone now for obvious reasons.)A short while after installing ADW.Launcher, the Home button became unresponsive, and a minute or two later the phone restarted itself (the way it's done by itself a handful of times since I bought the phone - without going through the whole power down and power up sequences of sounds and graphics). Then I only had a black screen with date and time at the bottom, and the menu and back buttons lit up, and now I can't get the display back. It seems to start normally, with the logos and sounds, but just returns to that black screen with date and time.
I know something's going on inside because I can swipe to unlock the screen (giving me a purely black screen). If I then press and hold Home, I get the haptic vibration that normally goes with the "recently used" menu. But if I randomly tap all over the black screen, and try to use the menu and back buttons (guessing where the menu items are) I get no response, and no haptic vibration.Holding down the power button gives me the usual power menu - I can select "Power off," but it restarts. I've removed the battery a couple of times, waited and replaced it - but no change.
At first I thought it was related to my SIM card, as it did the self-restart thing yesterday about 20 min after I got a new SIM card. But doing a google search suggests that this problem is sometimes related to launchers. And I removed the SIM card and restarted (removing battery) and it didn't help.The closest I could find to an answer to this problem was in the Droid X forum: HELP! I uninstalled launcher pro, and now have a black screen! - The solution there was to do a factory reset. I'd really rather not do that, but may not have a choice.
In the contacts tab when you switch between groups then back to contacts, that color above the names has a noticeable hint of green to it, then when you scroll down a little bit then back up it's black again. Same thing on my vibrant. I'd take a picture or video of it but i dont think it will show on camera.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm running Launcher Pro and only have one home screen.Earlier my phone was locked and I hit the unlock button and there is no unlock puzzle piece. The capacitive buttons don't work, I can't pull down the menu, but the screen is there.So I reboot.It works fine for a few mins but next time when I unlock all the icons are missing from my home screen except the 5 dock buttons.Capacitive buttons are fine, menus work fine, even the app drawer.I went to task manager and killed Launcher Pro and restarted it and everything was back, but I've never had a lick of trouble with it before and suddenly it starts.The only thing I can think of is that a little while ago I went under preferences and hid several of the apps from my app drawer (many of which are on my home screen) but I wouldn't think that would adversely effect function/stability.I've been running LP for over a week and it's not given me a luck of trouble before this, and then two issues in under an hour? Any ideas?

How's it going fellow Vibrant owners? I'm new here, been lurking for awhile and decided to register to ask some questions and help out others. My question; is this usb cable the same as the one provided with the vibrant? Amazon.com: Samsung Replacement USB Data Charging Cable for Samsung SPH-M330, SCH-R100, SGH-T939, SCH-R850: Cell Phones & Service looks identical, but anyone have input? or atleast anywhere thats cheap? We tried to root it and apply the lag fix via "OneClickLagFix" app (from the Market), and the phone was very fast for about a week, then slowed down SIGNIFICANTLY. Tonight, it just froze and will not boot past the Galaxy S screen. The screen will then go black and the four buttons at the bottom stay lit. We have gone into recovery and wiped the cache but no luck. Have not yet tried to wipe user data.
Transfer all data from internal storage to a separate drive, then wipe phone? If so, will I have to "flash" a stock/custom ROM to get the phone back up?
Is there any way to lock the screen while on a call? My kids can't get through a conversation with grandma without hanging up on her.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWould this be a ROM issue? Maybe an issue with Launcher Pro Beta? When I hit my home screen button, it takes a few seconds for my shortcuts and widgets to load. I really like LPB but am not liking how long it's taking to load. I set it as my only launcher in my ROM that I made so I can't go into another launcher and see if it's slow, does anyone think that could be the culprit?

I am not ready to pay for a app yet. Still new to android. I like my homepage. I use fancywidgets and like the clock and weather and would like that on my lock screen so all I have to do is hit the power button and see the huge clock.
