Jan 17, 2010I dragged and dropped a bunch of music files from my Mac onto my Moment's SD card. In the Android music player, many of the albums (classical, mostly), were all jumbled together in an "Unknown artist" file. The instruction book for the phone says I should not use my computer to create new folders, or rename folders, on the SD. HOw, then do I delete and rearrange music files? I don't see a prompt for creating folders in the app on the phone.

Oct 11, 2010I developed my first (small) Andoid application using Eclipse and are now ready to transfer it to my Galaxy S mobile device (develping for Android 2.1)
Following another thread in SE, I changed the run mode in Eclipse to manual in the hope that I would be able to chose my phone and/or AVD every time I run the program.
The popup list howerver only show the AVD, my phone is not present in the list.
So obviously, my Samsung Galaxy S device is not recognized. Howerver, I can transfer to and from the device using a drive letter, so the USB connection is working properly.
Anyone any idea what I am missing here ? I'm not sure if it is an Eclipse problem , or a driver or ....

Jun 11, 2013I am having troubles transfering files from my PC to Samsung S3. I can copy pictures from the S3 to my PC fine and I see everything - I just can't do it the other way around. Everytime I do, the thing just freezes and nothing happens and after a while it will say: Cannot copy (filename): this device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected. The camera may not support copying files from your computer.
I tried both the modes of USB (MTP and the camera thing) as well as turning on debugging. Nothing seems to resolve.

Jun 13, 2010When I connect the USB cable to my wife's phone, it will charge, but it never gives me the option to use it for data like my EVO does. I have searched here and over the net and the only suggestion people really gave were rebooting and turning on/off debugging mode.Neither made a bit of difference for me whatsoever.It is a used phone that I purchased from someone on here, but everything else on it has been flawless. I think it may be using a custom 2.1 install, but I am unsure.I guess I could try reverting it to stock.

Dec 10, 2009I have a 16gb card and I have my music in a folder called music. For some reason the music player isnt seeing all my music. I have made changes to folders names just to see if the app recognizes the changes, even removed some music, but when I load the card the music app dosent see the changes. Its like its somehow cached. I have gone in the "settings/applications/manage applications/music/" and cleared the cache, but under "settings/applications/manage applications /music player" it wont let me clear the cache. I have also noticed that certain folders have different album art thats ok not worried about that just want all my music to show. have any of you ran into this problem or know how to have it reload the music on the memory card ?

Jun 11, 2010So I have an iPod and, as such, all of my music is in iTunes. But I'm wondering what the easiest way to transfer music to my Evo is. When I connected my phone to my desktop and looked around in the Music folder, I noticed that all the sample songs were organized as such:
SD Card>Music>Name of Artist>Name of Song
Now, if iTunes organized all it's music that way, this would be as simple as ctrl+c and ctrl+v. But it doesn't. It's all like:
Music>Artist>Album>Song
The Evo doesn't recognize songs organized that way. So, without making new folders for every artist and copy pasting each song into them, what's the easiest way to transfer music to the phone?
Sorry, didn't realize I was in the Support and Troubleshooting forum. I guess it still kinda fits, though.

Feb 25, 2012I am going to get a Droid Razr Maxx soon. I have the doubletwist app for my music on my current phone, the droid 2 global. On doubletwist all my music is there, but the file is not there for that song on my computer (this is the case for about 300 songs). These songs, without the file on my computer, play perfectly fine on my phone so will I be fine to get my new phone and go home and open doubletwist and sync the music to my new phone without any problems?

Apr 11, 2010I just switched to the R8 release and after that I cannot mount the sd card to the computer to transfer files back and forth. I can get adb and odin to recognize the phone just fine and it also charges off the connection just no mounting for the card.
