Occasionally while charging my phone it will lock up. if the screen was on it will just stay there if its off it just wont respond. I have to take out the battery and then turn it on.

How can I tell when the Moment is completely done charging? I use a wall charger. When I plug it in. The screen lights up. Phone charging. Seconds later. The screen goes blank.. I have to manually hit the volume key or end key to see the charge complete notification on the screen. I charge it for about 4 hours. Isnt it suppose to light up on its own with the charge complete? Do I have a defective MOMENT?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am on my second Moment because my first one failed the Sprint signal test But on that phone i had it set up so that when it was plugged in charging, the phones screen always stayed on. But I don't remember how I did that or what setting I went into. I also have Open Home installed and running on the first phone and now my new phone, i've searched through and through all setting for the phone itself and for Open Home and can not find how I changed it.

View 1 Replies View RelatedBeen complaining about my moment something terrible. Went Friday spent the money and renewed my contract to get the EVO. The guy warned me about the battery on the Evo being bad. I didn't listen since my friend in work plays with his for 3 hours before getting a low battery. Got the Evo and charged it friday from 11am till 4pm. Light turned green full battery. Didn't mess with it much cause I got busy. Had 3 calls about 5 minutes each. Got on the internet for 10 minutes. Phone had gone down 1 bar at 8pm and didn't use it after that. Went to work at midnight to work overtime to pay for the phone, pulled it out at 2am "RECHARGE BATTERY". Ok, charged the battery from 2am till 5:30am. "full charge". Played with the phone about 10 minutes setting it up, made a 10 minute call, 8am when I got home played with it for 5 minutes. Took a nap, woke up at 1pm, RECHARGE BATTERY. Ok, charged it from 1am till 6pm. Green light, battery charged. Made 3 calls, looked on facebook for 10 minutes, sent 5 text messages, went down 1 bar. From 8pm till 3am I slept. Woke up at 3am, grabbed the phone, it was turned off. Turned it back on, powered up, "RECHARGE BATTERY", phone shut back off. THIS IS RIDICULOUS WITH THESE PHONE BATTERY.......
View 10 Replies View RelatedEvery time I put it on a charger (USB or Wall), it charges and when it's done, the phone awakes and stays on. So if I don't manually put it back into sleep mode, it will sit there all lit up and drain my battery.

View 14 Replies View RelatedProblem is that both charging port and battery and malfunctioning. My charger port has a mind of its own. Only certain chargers positioned in certain ways will charge it. I'm talking about brand new charge cords (no shorts in cord itself) that when plugged in will over work if I play with the port for awhile. Along with the problems actually getting the charging port to work, there is also problems with the battery. The battery has a terrible life using all of the battery conserving settings it drains like crazy. And along with that when I charge my phone with it off it will tell me fully charged many times but when I turn the device on I'm in the RED.

Among the many questions I have, the most concerning is, why does my youtube app freeze, and have to be force closed, when I try to log into my account? I used my wife's and I'm able to log in no problem. The only difference is I have a few different apps then her, but the problem has occurred since I purchased the phone. Is there anyway to uninstall and reinstall this native application? I've even tried logging into someone elses app and the same thing happens!
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!

I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. I've searched around, and found that holding down VOLUME DOWN and Power lets you hard reset the phone, but this doesn't work for me. I hold them down, and the phone just boots up like normal and then shuts off.I rooted it, and it was working fine. Rebooted a few times and then it quit working.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a rooted Fascinate. After a second re-root my SF has been very buggy. My first root was successful. I messed something up trying to install voodoo and had to flash back to stock. Now, after a second buggy root I am faced with many freezes and FC's. (primarily in com.android.settings, but will float to various apps). Battery pulls don't seem to help. After a certain amount of using my phone, hopping WiFi, maps, email, just normal use, something will need to FC.
Within the next few days I plan on un-lagfixing my phone & un-rooting it. Ultimately I'd like to take it back stock and not root. This leads to my question: what is the best way to flash stock. I don't want anything left. I can tell there was something left from my first root because ads still do not show up. I had an ad block program installed on my first root.
I've searched all over the forums and can't find anyone else who is having this problem. I am able to set my captivate to "media player" under the USB settings and Windows Media Player is able to see it. I move files into the sync list and start to sync. It all works perfectly until, for whatever reason with no consistency, WMP freezes. I've concluded it's because the Captivate stops responding but I can't find a solution. The music files are not a problem since they are already condensed in mp3 format. But I need a solution for syncing pictures. Double Twist ignores the original folders and lumps every picture into one folder called "Images", so that's pointless.

That said, I'm noticing a lot of lag for a "high end" phone with such high specs. I have two news widgets, one weather, and a live wallpaper, and that's it. But I notice sometimes I push the power button and nothing happens for a while. I swipe the lock screen and it freezes for a second. Things take time to happen on this phone. I'm not even running my favorite launcher (Launcher Pro) because when I run it, the wallpaper would freeze for a few seconds at certain times.
When I remove the the widgets and use a static wallpaper, things vastly improve. But then it's as plain and boring as an iPhone!
The widgets I'm running: Battery Indicator, Weather Bug, Engadget, News Buzz.
The wallpaper is the galaxy live wallpaper that comes with the phone.
I mean I customize the phone with a couple of widgets and a live wallpaper and I try to show it to someone, and instead of awing and shocking them with its brilliance, it turns into a crappy PowerPoint slideshow.
I just updated my S3 to 4.3 (my network is 3 - UK) and the phone is so slow! All programs crash after a few minutes of going onto them. I keep getting messages like "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Also I have no mobile network!! Everytime I click on mobile data is tells me to "insert an active sim to access network" but when I put the sim in my brothers phone the sim works.
I really don't want to do a factory reset as I have a lot of internal things saved such as pics and whatsapp conversations that I really need!
Is it possible to go back to 4.2?
So, I recently updated to 4.3 on my S3 and when everything was installed, the device just rebooted and stayed on to the Samsung symbol frozen. I've tried battery pull, I've tried clearing cache. Bear in mind I DON'T want my data to be deleted, it's not backed up, however is there a way to do backup with the phone switched off or on to download mode.

Don't get me wrong, webOS is clean and has a lot of potential, but for now...lacking would be a good (albeit understated) word to describe it. I want to jump the Pre ship for the Samsung Moment, but one thing I keep reading about the Moment is bothering me - everyone says it doesn't have multi-touch. However, I recently read that multi-touch is something Android doesn't yet support. This knowledge was previously unbeknownst to me since I haven't used an Android device since the G1 first launched. Since the Moment uses a standard Android build, the OS wouldn't allow multi-touch even if the phone were capable of it. So my question is: Does anyone know whether or not the Moment is capable of multi-touch? If it's simple a shortcoming of Android, I can deal with it since I know Android 2.0 should finally support it.
