Samsung Captivate :: Youtube App Freezes When Logging In
Jul 25, 2010So I'm an Android Newb. Just get my captivate yesterday. I got my wife one and myself one. Among the many questions I have, the most concerning is, why does my youtube app freeze, and have to be force closed, when I try to log into my account? I used my wife's and I'm able to log in no problem. The only difference is I have a few different apps then her, but the problem has occurred since I purchased the phone. Is there anyway to uninstall and reinstall this native application? I've even tried logging into someone elses app and the same thing happens!

Jul 24, 2010My captivate seems to keep freezing when doing things, most notably when I goto my downloads on the market, using Zedge to download a new wallpaper or using juiceplotter and just opening it, I get a black screen and it sits for a period of time approx a min or two...anyone else having these types of issues. I did do a factor reset this morning and also installed adw.launcher, but it still does it when using those programs and some others just can't remember which ones right off hand. thanks!!

Jul 18, 2010Anything you guys can think that could help? I've searched around, and found that holding down VOLUME DOWN and Power lets you hard reset the phone, but this doesn't work for me. I hold them down, and the phone just boots up like normal and then shuts off.I rooted it, and it was working fine. Rebooted a few times and then it quit working.

Aug 18, 2010I've searched all over the forums and can't find anyone else who is having this problem. I am able to set my captivate to "media player" under the USB settings and Windows Media Player is able to see it. I move files into the sync list and start to sync. It all works perfectly until, for whatever reason with no consistency, WMP freezes. I've concluded it's because the Captivate stops responding but I can't find a solution. The music files are not a problem since they are already condensed in mp3 format. But I need a solution for syncing pictures. Double Twist ignores the original folders and lumps every picture into one folder called "Images", so that's pointless.

Sep 5, 2010I am a big fan of Android and the Captivate. I've been addicted since day one.
That said, I'm noticing a lot of lag for a "high end" phone with such high specs. I have two news widgets, one weather, and a live wallpaper, and that's it. But I notice sometimes I push the power button and nothing happens for a while. I swipe the lock screen and it freezes for a second. Things take time to happen on this phone. I'm not even running my favorite launcher (Launcher Pro) because when I run it, the wallpaper would freeze for a few seconds at certain times.
When I remove the the widgets and use a static wallpaper, things vastly improve. But then it's as plain and boring as an iPhone!
The widgets I'm running: Battery Indicator, Weather Bug, Engadget, News Buzz.
The wallpaper is the galaxy live wallpaper that comes with the phone.
I mean I customize the phone with a couple of widgets and a live wallpaper and I try to show it to someone, and instead of awing and shocking them with its brilliance, it turns into a crappy PowerPoint slideshow.
General :: Google Play Freezes And Normal Freezes Came Back?
Jun 23, 2013Some days ago I created a thread asking about random freezes/restarts.Well, Google Play is now freezing every time I try to check for an app, I've also realized the cache thingy only works for a while, I went on a trip, now that Im back the tablet freezes again and all.Should I just cache wipe everytime this happens, or just once? Is it safe to cache wipe really often?

Oct 30, 2010I have a rooted Fascinate. After a second re-root my SF has been very buggy. My first root was successful. I messed something up trying to install voodoo and had to flash back to stock. Now, after a second buggy root I am faced with many freezes and FC's. (primarily in com.android.settings, but will float to various apps). Battery pulls don't seem to help. After a certain amount of using my phone, hopping WiFi, maps, email, just normal use, something will need to FC.
Within the next few days I plan on un-lagfixing my phone & un-rooting it. Ultimately I'd like to take it back stock and not root. This leads to my question: what is the best way to flash stock. I don't want anything left. I can tell there was something left from my first root because ads still do not show up. I had an ad block program installed on my first root.

Mar 2, 2014I just updated my S3 to 4.3 (my network is 3 - UK) and the phone is so slow! All programs crash after a few minutes of going onto them. I keep getting messages like "unfortunately the process com.android.phone has stopped".
Also I have no mobile network!! Everytime I click on mobile data is tells me to "insert an active sim to access network" but when I put the sim in my brothers phone the sim works.
I really don't want to do a factory reset as I have a lot of internal things saved such as pics and whatsapp conversations that I really need!
Is it possible to go back to 4.2?

Dec 19, 2013So, I recently updated to 4.3 on my S3 and when everything was installed, the device just rebooted and stayed on to the Samsung symbol frozen. I've tried battery pull, I've tried clearing cache. Bear in mind I DON'T want my data to be deleted, it's not backed up, however is there a way to do backup with the phone switched off or on to download mode.

Samsung Behold 2 :: Galaxy Dialer And Contact?
Apr 19, 2010I have a question that I'm not sure if it's even possible since they are two completely different ROMS. I have been running BH-man's Galaxy 1.6 Rom R8 and have been loving it but the two things that have not been working is starting to become a factor and Im really needing Vibrate and the default BH2 camera features. So with that being said, I went ahead and made the switch to the Behold 2 1.6 with No Twiz, and is very fast and nice, minus a few features from the Galaxy rom. Now, I have been wondering if its even possible to have the Dialer & Contact interface from BH Mans Galaxy 1.6 added to this default ROM without it messing anything up. If that is possible, would a pullpush the two files over to the 1.6 no Twiz Rom work? I know that at one point BH_Man has done this in the past but it was based off 1.5 I believe.

Jan 21, 2010Ive been searching for this for a few days and Ive got nothing so hopefully someone knows. Is there any way to call a number that's been sent via sms? Ex: My wife sent me a text containing the phone number of a client. On previous phones, that number would be a hyperlink and when I clicked it the dialer would open with that number pre-inserted. It seems on the moment I have to memorize the number, go to the dialer and input it in. This isn't so easy when your driving or doing much of anything.
Is there any app or setting that allows me to automatically input the number into the dialer? I tried copy and paste but you cant paste into the dialer.
