Mar 17, 2010ok so i searched and couldn't find anything .is there an extended battery for the moment?i installed task killer and a battery app and the batter last only a little over 6 hrs thats pathetic! was wondering if anyone has found an extended battery yet.

Feb 9, 2010Here I am with 2 HTC Hero phones, with only one on an active account. I would love to try out the Samsung Moment, but don't have the $$ to just go out and buy one.My hero comes with all it had when new, plus I have an extra battery for it I will add to the deal. This hero has only been used for about a week, and while using it, it "lived" in my Blackberry Tour holster to give it maximum protection. There are no scratches or rub marks on it, never been dropped and I have reset it to Factory Specs via the SECURITY MENU and the ESN is clear and ready to be activated on your SPRINT account.Please email me at sy@rayzel.com if you are interested. Oct 21, 2009I currently own a Palm Pre and I'm ready to ditch it for an Android device. Don't get me wrong, webOS is clean and has a lot of potential, but for now...lacking would be a good (albeit understated) word to describe it. I want to jump the Pre ship for the Samsung Moment, but one thing I keep reading about the Moment is bothering me - everyone says it doesn't have multi-touch. However, I recently read that multi-touch is something Android doesn't yet support. This knowledge was previously unbeknownst to me since I haven't used an Android device since the G1 first launched. Since the Moment uses a standard Android build, the OS wouldn't allow multi-touch even if the phone were capable of it. So my question is: Does anyone know whether or not the Moment is capable of multi-touch? If it's simple a shortcoming of Android, I can deal with it since I know Android 2.0 should finally support it.

Dec 25, 2009Ive had my Moment for 4 days now. I went through all the posts and nothing seems to help. I charged my battery for 16 hours and it died within 30min. and not just the low battery warning the phone shut off. Ive tried the car charger pluggin it into my computer and the wall charger and the longest it has lasted is 1 hour. havnt really downloaded anything other than a task killer to see if that helped. Bad battery?

May 17, 2010Is there any way to get around how on the phone when you go to camera when the battery is red. That you can still use the camera and takes photos. This is a real pain considering the phone is almost always showing red battery and I can never take photos. How can I get around this.

Dec 1, 2009So far, I'm loving this phone, despite the glitches that it suffers from.
In an attempt to get the battery conditioned, I ran the phone all the way down yesterday, powered it off, and charged it overnight.
One thing I noticed is that when the phone got down under 15%, there were a handful of times that the interface would freeze briefly for a few seconds, and then the phone would reboot itself.
Eventually, I ran it down the the point where, after it rebooted, it would tell me that the battery was too low and that it was shutting off.
I would expect that if the phone were shutting down because of a low battery, it would prompt me somehow to let me know, instead of just rebooting.
Has anyone else noticed this same behavior? I've only had the phone for a few days, but so far, it's only done the reboot thing when the battery was under 15%.
Samsung Moment :: Battery Decreases To 80%
Dec 23, 2009OK...so I charged my Moment via the wall charger all night. Well, when I awoke this morning, it read that the charge was full of course, but as soon as I took it off it went down to 80%. I put it back on the charger and it went to 90%. I'm not sure what is going on here. Has anyone else had problems like this or know of a fix?

Nov 30, 2009I found a way to find the actual battery charge while messing around on the phone. I turned off the phone and then pressed the "send + center + end" combination to get into the diagnostics console. From there you can scroll down to the battery info and in there you can see how much charge is really left. For some reason the OS can't read from this and reports incorrect battery life.

Dec 25, 2009In the past week or so, I've noticed my battery life drastically decrease. I could easily go a day and a half with moderate use (some web surfing, all my apps and widgets going, etc.). Last week, my battery was gone one day in about 7.5 hours. I thought it was from installing Screebl Lite. I disabled Screebl, same problem. So I uninstalled Screebl, same problem. I have Spare Parts installed, but it's not the most intuitive thing in the world. I try looking at the battery usage stats, but it says "Android System" is the biggest battery user. And I don't know what is good, what is bad, what is normal.
Example: Today, I had my phone at 100% charge. Took it off the charger around 10 AM. Around 11:00, I paired up the new Bluetooth headset I got for Christmas. I made a call. Listened to a couple of songs. Watched a couple of minutes of video. I browsed the Market for a few, disabled bluetooth and went about my day. By about 6:00, I was at 5%.

Jan 26, 2010I've already done the update but both pre and post update, my Moment intermittently won't respond when getting a call. The call comes in, I hear the ringtone but no matter what buttons I press, the phone won't respond. I have to wait until voicemail kicks in or the call has ended.
I called Sprint technical support and they're going to send a new (I hope it's new) phone. I hate to set up the phone for the third time. Is there a fix or should I just bite the bullet and get the new? phone? Has anyone had this problem?

I have an upgrade available on my account, however I don't want to get locked into a data plan, since I rarely spend any time away from Wifi.
