OK...so I charged my Moment via the wall charger all night. Well, when I awoke this morning, it read that the charge was full of course, but as soon as I took it off it went down to 80%. I put it back on the charger and it went to 90%. I'm not sure what is going on here. Has anyone else had problems like this or know of a fix?

I just rooted my 2.2 phone with S_OFF and flashed it with virtuous 2.7 rom. Ever since my battery life is terrible, I have removed all the bloatware, and do not have any extra apps. This is the most trimmed down phone. I was at 100% and all I did was go to a website (yahoo.com) and within 10 secs, my battery is down to 96%. 4% drainage within 20 seconds! That is awful. Is there any advice? I tried wiping stats, bump charging. I do not have gps/bluetooth/wifi or anything that is soaking up the resources running.

My notification volume always seems to be adjusting by itself. How do you stop it? It can be my notification volume for gmail, text, meebo, or the notification volume in general. Is it something that I am doing that causes it to lower? or is there a way to lock the volume?

I charged my battery for 16 hours and it died within 30min. and not just the low battery warning the phone shut off. Ive tried the car charger pluggin it into my computer and the wall charger and the longest it has lasted is 1 hour. havnt really downloaded anything other than a task killer to see if that helped. Bad battery?

In an attempt to get the battery conditioned, I ran the phone all the way down yesterday, powered it off, and charged it overnight.
One thing I noticed is that when the phone got down under 15%, there were a handful of times that the interface would freeze briefly for a few seconds, and then the phone would reboot itself.
Eventually, I ran it down the the point where, after it rebooted, it would tell me that the battery was too low and that it was shutting off.
I would expect that if the phone were shutting down because of a low battery, it would prompt me somehow to let me know, instead of just rebooting.
Has anyone else noticed this same behavior? I've only had the phone for a few days, but so far, it's only done the reboot thing when the battery was under 15%.
I want to drain my battery to the very end and then recharge it so I was wondering what to do to really waste the battery really fast. I have the display on the brightest setting, bluetooth and WiFi on. What apps really drain the battery? I tried Sprint TV but it kicked me off the WiFi

I dont have the weather channel widgit or just the icon on any of my home pages and i dont have any location for it. View 14 Replies View RelatedI found a way to find the actual battery charge while messing around on the phone. I turned off the phone and then pressed the "send + center + end" combination to get into the diagnostics console. From there you can scroll down to the battery info and in there you can see how much charge is really left. For some reason the OS can't read from this and reports incorrect battery life.

I could easily go a day and a half with moderate use (some web surfing, all my apps and widgets going, etc.). Last week, my battery was gone one day in about 7.5 hours. I thought it was from installing Screebl Lite. I disabled Screebl, same problem. So I uninstalled Screebl, same problem. I have Spare Parts installed, but it's not the most intuitive thing in the world. I try looking at the battery usage stats, but it says "Android System" is the biggest battery user. And I don't know what is good, what is bad, what is normal.
Example: Today, I had my phone at 100% charge. Took it off the charger around 10 AM. Around 11:00, I paired up the new Bluetooth headset I got for Christmas. I made a call. Listened to a couple of songs. Watched a couple of minutes of video. I browsed the Market for a few, disabled bluetooth and went about my day. By about 6:00, I was at 5%.

But I can not find an EXTERNAL battery charger. Google search only turned up a "universal" charger where the contacts are manipulated to match up with the battery. Not a good option. The guy warned me about the battery on the Evo being bad. I didn't listen since my friend in work plays with his for 3 hours before getting a low battery. Got the Evo and charged it friday from 11am till 4pm. Light turned green full battery. Didn't mess with it much cause I got busy. Had 3 calls about 5 minutes each. Got on the internet for 10 minutes. Phone had gone down 1 bar at 8pm and didn't use it after that. Went to work at midnight to work overtime to pay for the phone, pulled it out at 2am "RECHARGE BATTERY". Ok, charged the battery from 2am till 5:30am. "full charge". Played with the phone about 10 minutes setting it up, made a 10 minute call, 8am when I got home played with it for 5 minutes. Took a nap, woke up at 1pm, RECHARGE BATTERY. Ok, charged it from 1am till 6pm. Green light, battery charged. Made 3 calls, looked on facebook for 10 minutes, sent 5 text messages, went down 1 bar. From 8pm till 3am I slept. Woke up at 3am, grabbed the phone, it was turned off. Turned it back on, powered up, "RECHARGE BATTERY", phone shut back off. THIS IS RIDICULOUS WITH THESE PHONE BATTERY.......
