View 9 Replies View RelatedI came across this on XDA and thought I would post here. Added some stuff so that it was easier than what was said on XDA. As always, do a NAND backup before doing this. I am not responsible if this bricks your phone. I just did it and it worked fine

I wanted to change the boot logo for i9300. Im well aware that you have to incorporate it in the kernel. I installed Ubuntu, the necessary libraries and brought the cyanogenmod source code. Only part is I dont have the necessary experience to tweak it using the NDK tools

I've searched the solution for hours and still, no luck on finding it out. I tried a hard reset using the volume keys pressed with the power button but it displays "**WIPE USERDATA**" on the top left corner and nothing happened. There is an option to hold the volume up key with the power button that displays " USB POLLING MODE " in a blue screen.
My phone now is not able to boot properly and freezes on the startup logo.
My phone keeps freezing up after it goes through the Sprint Logo and gets to the Samsung logo. Any idea what is causing this and how I can fix it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently bought a new 8gig series 6 SD card and want to change it out with the card the phone came with but i have a few questions. 1st backing up my current SD card: I hook up my phone via USB to my pc. Then open up the folder that says camera and copy and past those pic's over to my pc. Then I noticed there was another folder called downloaded which i opened up to find even more pictures so i copy and past those over to my pc (into the same folder that I copyed the camera pic's into). Now as best as I can tell I have backed up all my pictures to my pc (in one single folder). My phone had placed some picuters in the camera folder, and then in the downloaded folder. On my pc i put them all in one folder. Now when I go to move the pictures from my pc back to my phone with the new SD card can I just put them all under camera or do i have to remember which ones were under camera and which ones were under downloaded?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried installing Tranquility and must have screwed something up because now my phone won't boot past the Motorola Logo. It's been sitting here like this for about 15min and I can't even boot into recovery by holding the power and home buttons. I don't know what else to do now. Idk if my phone is bricked but even if it is don't I need the SBF file to unbrick it and I can't find that file any where. I did a nand backup or whatever before doing any of this so hopefully that can help me. What should I do now?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently came upon my new samsung moment, so i wanted to go ahead and root it after having my rooted hero with froyo, and i loved it.
Anywhos, i got to the point where I update it using the files i got off of the tutorial, and now im at the point where i need to boot into recovery in order to flash the phone with my new rom. However, here lies the issue. My phone is turned off, and i hold down volume down, and both the call and end buttons simultaneously. It starts to load up, but then it just basically loads into my phone like it normally should. I hold the buttons down all the way through this time, and same deal.. so what am i doing wrong here?
My android is rooted. It tethers, plays live wallpapers, it does all the other fancy tricks it's supposed to, I can even switch up the boot animations without having to flash the internal memory each time (use the boot animation changer app from the market-- you can go into the downloaded folders and switch what screens are actually shown-- cut-n-paste), but how do you CREATE boot animations?? I understand the whole "slide show of *.png" files, I'm lost at the disc.txt file. Does anyone know what each set of numbers represents? I've fiddled around with this and every time I've put something together, it just don't work. I've got the droid screen followed by the Decepticon symbol spinning around, I've got the one that forms the Decepticon out of pieces, then goes to the matrix rain. I want the symbol to form, then have the spinning symbol. So far, when I piece it together the screen stays black. Any recommendations? I'll post the zip file when it's done, has tons of potential!

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy samsung moment (NOT rooted with 2.1) gets stuck in a boot loop when I restart it. The phone has been running very sluggish since Ive been experiencing this and Im about to do a factory data reset but I dont feel like reloading all my apps and redoing all my settings. Does anyone know of a way to fix this without resetting the whole phone? anyone else experiencing the same thing? any help would be appreciated. Im about to get a blackberry, I love the android when it works but it just seems the slightest adjustment to the phone sends the whole thing haywire. Living with this aggrevation is becoming not worth it.

My Sharp FX (ADS1) is stuck at the "Sharp" logo when I try turning it on, now I know that are several of these post on this forum, but I still can't find any that offers a solution for me. The phone is rooted and that's it, I haven't had time to put a new ROM or anything yet (although I would love to) and I can't seem to get into any type of recovery mode, and I think I have tried all of the button combinations, the only time that I can get it to show something other than "sharp" is when I plug it in, it shows a charging battery.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I decided to hijack the "Red Rage" boot animation and use it as the base of my animation. Mine just has some Georgia Bulldog love to it. Also I have modified my boot logo and no longer have the "M" its now a lot nicer. I will include the bootanimation.zip in case anyone wants this. Just place it in the /data/local/ folder. Do not Unzip it, leave it how it is. If you have another one there just rename it with a .bak extension in case you don't like mine. Its stretched a little vertically, not sure why not too noticeable tough.

I have a rooted eris running "Eris_Official_0.8.1T2" rom. I have seen threads about how to change the boot logo/animation, but no one knows how to remove the animation entirely. I would like the verbose boot to display on start up if possible. Has anyone done this? I have seen something similar with the android on iphone(at 1:53 in the video)
