View 1 RepliesRunning a Bell Galaxy-S with 2.1 and the OCLF. Recently when I lock my phone or it just goes to sleep (screen shuts off) I can't unlock it. The screen just stays blank and it requires me to pull the battery and replace to boot it back up. There doesn't appear to be any consistency with this error and I haven't installed any new apps in recent time that would have changed the phone around.

But something I'm finding very little info or comments on is how terrible the audio quality is on video recordings. It's surprisingly very bad. The video quality is looking good, but that makes the bad audio just that much worse. I've noticed this on every sample video I've checked out on You Tube. It seems that it is slightly better on the Incredible, but still pretty sub-par. If you watch video recorded from the Motorola Droid or iPhone, you can hear what a difference it is. Is this just a HTC thing, or is it something that can be adjusted?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell Like 3mins ago i was running the audio player app with eq and all of a sudden my phone and i had to do a battery pull!
View 3 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that audio and video aren't in sync? Or is it just my phone?! Literally, in every video i play audio is a fraction of a second out of sync when compared to video. Tried with 720p, brrips 720p, dvdrips, and even ordinary hdtvrips, and it happens in every single one of them. Also happens when playing some games, or even when i'm playing 720p video that i recorded minutes ago. I'm currently using Doc's XWJPA, and previously have been using stock XWJPA. Same thing happened on both.
Has anybody else experienced something like that, and how to fix it?
How the Samsung Galaxy S (UK version) compares to the iPod (or iPhone of course) in terms of music playback (through headphones)?
I listen to a lot of music, and just had a really bad experience with the HTC Desire (lots of hiss and network interference).
The Samsung S looks the business, but poor audio will be a deal breaker when it comes to moving from my iPhone 3G.
This video is working perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant stock video player, however the audio is not working at all, can somebody please point out why? im a noob with all these codecs and stuff and dont know what the SGS can play and cant
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am looking for a software solution to get mono sound into my earphone. (I am deaf in one ear and thus missing one channel) I could buy a stereo->mono plug or I could buy this 'Super BT Mono Pro' app for $ 6,-. But shouldn't this be a normal setting in such a hightech Android phone? Or an app setting like the VLC desktop player has a mono option. The Super BT Mono Pro app shows it is possible, but I wan't to do it myself. Is it a setting in de Service Mode Menu or will it be an new option in Android 3.0?

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust taken delivery of a UK edition Samsung Galaxy S. Connecting it to my car audio via bluetooth no problems but it drops the 3G/H network connection as soon as it connects to the car. Disconnect the Bluetooth and I get the data connection back. Is this deliberate or a bug? It means I can't receive emails etc whilst in my car unless I turn off Bluetooth.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got myself a bluetooth FM transmitter for my work van and tested it out today. For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong.

View 2 Replies View RelatedAdmittedly I don't use my phone as a phone a whole lot. I didn't notice this before, but today while actually using this thing as a phone, the sound of the person at the other end would completely cut off if I said anything. It was exactly like using a speakerphone or a walkie talkie. Is this a bug with Galaxo or has my Galaxy always done this and I have failed to notice ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe following works fine on a G1 but gives an error on the Samsung Galaxy. I was hoping cross-platform support would be better than this. See error below.
private final static int RATE = 44100; private final static int CHANNEL_MODE = AudioFormat.CHANNEL_CONFIGURATION_MONO; private final static int ENCODING = AudioFormat.ENCODING_PCM_16BIT; private AudioRecord recorder_; public boolean open() { int bufferSize = 4 * AudioRecord.getMinBufferSize(RATE, CHANNEL_MODE, ENCODING); recorder_ = new AudioRecord(AudioSource.MIC, RATE, CHANNEL_MODE, ENCODING, bufferSize);
last line gives the following on the Samsung Galaxy phone: 11-14 19:04:07.507: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(7617): java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid audio buffer size.

No ringtones, no notifications, no mp3s, no sound on videos...calls show up and you can answer, talk and be heard, just no audio other than that.

Ringer volume up full.
Notification volume up full.
System volume up full.
Not on silent.
Not on vibrate.
Haven't tried it with a bluetooth headset because she doesn't use one.
Hasn't dropped it...nothing like that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI connected my phone via USB to my RR sport to upload audio files to the RR hard drive. However, I keep getting connection error. Apparently my device is not being recognized as a storage. I did the unmount thinking. Also, I am wondering how I can play audio from my phone through the RR audio system.
RR is 2010.
I upgraded from CL14 --> 2.1 DD03 last night. I've noticed the following issue with my Bluetooth / audio routing in my car.
Scenario
* Moment successfully paired to car's Bluetooth after DD03
* I can make/receive calls via Bluetooth -- voice commands with my car's Bluetooth system and call is successfully placed by Moment
* My car has an RCA/AUX jack - I've connected that to my Moment's headphone jack to listen to podcasts while commuting to work.
Here's where the problem starts. If the Moment's headphone jack is connected to my car's AUX input with an RCA cable, I can place calls via Bluetooth (or I can hear the ringing of an incoming call) but when the call is connected (incoming/outgoing) the audio isn't being sent from the Moment to the car's speaker. I know the call is connected because I see the call duration timer on the Moment's dialer screen -- and more importantly, if I remove the cable from the headphone jack the audio is then routed to the car's speaker via Bluetooth. If I plug the cable back into the jack, the audio stops again.
I'm pretty sure that this wasn't a problem in CL14.
I have an HTC Incredible and can't seem to find where my camcorder recordings have been saved. I want to move them to my computer but can't seem to find them when I look in each of the folders.

For some time I have been trying to find an application that allows me to stream recordings from my mythtv 0.24 onto an android X10 2.1. I have tried going through mythweb and stream the recording via the built in flash file (flowplayer), but despite using a number different browsers have not managed to get it working.
Is anybody aware of an app being developed that allows you to watch these flash recording? or a just a better (and easier) way of watching my mythtv recordings.
I got my phone on Monday and I've noticed that when somebody is talking to me on the phone it causes a vibration type noise. I've tried lowering the volume but it still seems to be doing it. Not to mention, even with the audio turned all the way up it's hard to hear the people I'm talking to.
