How the Samsung Galaxy S (UK version) compares to the iPod (or iPhone of course) in terms of music playback (through headphones)?
I listen to a lot of music, and just had a really bad experience with the HTC Desire (lots of hiss and network interference).
The Samsung S looks the business, but poor audio will be a deal breaker when it comes to moving from my iPhone 3G.

Have any of you seen a remote control FOR the Galaxy S? I have a Griffin for my previous iPhone that has a remote control for the phone/itunes. See this Griffin Technology: TuneFlex AUX SmartClick - Car mount, charger and remote control for iPod and iPhone. This remote allows me to keep the phone powered up in the tankbag and plugged into my comm. system on my motorcycle and has a remote control for the handlebars.

View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else noticed that audio and video aren't in sync? Or is it just my phone?! Literally, in every video i play audio is a fraction of a second out of sync when compared to video. Tried with 720p, brrips 720p, dvdrips, and even ordinary hdtvrips, and it happens in every single one of them. Also happens when playing some games, or even when i'm playing 720p video that i recorded minutes ago. I'm currently using Doc's XWJPA, and previously have been using stock XWJPA. Same thing happened on both.
Has anybody else experienced something like that, and how to fix it?
This video is working perfectly on my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant stock video player, however the audio is not working at all, can somebody please point out why? im a noob with all these codecs and stuff and dont know what the SGS can play and cant

(I am deaf in one ear and thus missing one channel) I could buy a stereo->mono plug or I could buy this 'Super BT Mono Pro' app for $ 6,-. But shouldn't this be a normal setting in such a hightech Android phone? Or an app setting like the VLC desktop player has a mono option. The Super BT Mono Pro app shows it is possible, but I wan't to do it myself. Is it a setting in de Service Mode Menu or will it be an new option in Android 3.0?

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust taken delivery of a UK edition Samsung Galaxy S. Connecting it to my car audio via bluetooth no problems but it drops the 3G/H network connection as soon as it connects to the car. Disconnect the Bluetooth and I get the data connection back. Is this deliberate or a bug? It means I can't receive emails etc whilst in my car unless I turn off Bluetooth.

For receiving and making calls it worked fine with the audio coming out through the car's speakers. But if I play music or my navigation the audio is coming out through the phones speaker (the one on the back) rather than through the cars speakers. I don't know what setting I've got wrong.

I didn't notice this before, but today while actually using this thing as a phone, the sound of the person at the other end would completely cut off if I said anything. It was exactly like using a speakerphone or a walkie talkie. Is this a bug with Galaxo or has my Galaxy always done this and I have failed to notice ?

Why is the IPOD touch brighter on white back ground than my new captivate?
I've been wondering, after I upgrade from the Moment to another Android phone in the future, and no longer have Sprint service on the Moment, can the Moment be used on wifi to browse Internet, check email, play games, etc?
In other words, like how the iPod Touch can be used without service, or a jailbroken iPhone.
All i keep hearing about is issue after issue with the OTA. then on top of that, u cant go back to a leaked version. is it any good news for those that got the OTA??

You see the launcher activity title for a while and then the programmatic title replaces it, which is not very nice visually. The icon on the home screen uses the label for the activity. What I'm trying to do is get a label for the icon on the home screen that is different from the activity title bar. I tried setting the intent- filter label, but that didn't appear under the home screen icon. There is a label property for the application, the activity, and the intent-filter. The activity label is shown for the icon and the title and the other label properties are not shown.

I did change the sim-card (and subsequent number) since first using it, but I never logged intio Kies with the old sim-card.The phone is rooted.How do I get Kies (or my Samsung phone) to show my current telephone number?In the phone properties (Menu, Settings, About, Status) the same wrong number is shown.When calling, the receiver sees the correct telephone number. I have a problem drawing a background for my OpenGL app on the emulator. It all works well on an actual G1, but i'm worried that if the emulator has a problem, other android phones may have the same problem. On an actual G1 the background is drawn on the background. All other drawing is drawn in front of it. On the emulator, the background is always drawn on the foreground, obsuring any other drawing. Following are my questions:
1. Right now I have about a thousand google contacts synced to my phone. I want to remove them at one go. I know how to disable them from being appearing in contact list, but I want to know if I can delete them without going to factory settings.
2. I am using three applications (a) Gmail (b) Contacts (3) MVOIP. I want to know if there is a way that following combination works:
a- Google contacts appear on Gmail app
b- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "Contacts"
c- Google contacts (with phone numbers) and normal phone contacts appear on "MVOIP application".
I know how to do
(a) - By synchronising google contacts,
(b) - by choosing display options
(c) - I do not know how to handle this and I want help.
I really like the samsung wave phone design, very stylish and slick! but i dont like the bada os on the other hand i like galaxy s os but i dont like its phone design, so iphone like.
