Is there any way of maintain the image quality of a contact display picture? It always seems to get reduced for some reason.I save it to my GOogle contacts and then it gets synced to my phone. I don't know if it would make a difference if i saved it to my phone directly

Figured I can merge the same person's google and facebook contact. I wonder how do I change which name gets displayed and which picture becomes the display picture? How do I make the facebook profile pic as the display picture? when I click edit the facebook contact does not appear cause I can't edit SNS contacts apparently
View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm using Android 2.1 on the Galaxy S.I have multiple numbers defined per contact, e.g. mobile, work, home. Whenever I make or receive a call, the name is shown, and the phone number is shown underneath the name instead of the type that the number is associated with.Any way to show the type (mobile, work, home) instead of the number itself? Otherwise are we supposed to memorize which numbers belong to work, mobile, or home?I don't even see any icons, or colour changes that would signify one of the types.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to get Facebook profile pictures assigned to internal phone contacts, but cant get it to work. I installed the recently updated Facebook app, at the first launch it asked me if I want to sync my contacts, I selected Sync with exisiting contacts (later I selected Sync all since first option didnt work) but still profile pictures are not being fetched. I can now see facebook contacts in my main contact list, and I can link them with my phone contacts (manually), but profile picture is still blank. When I click the View profile (facebook) link of a particular contact I'm taken to my profile page instead of the person i clicked on. And when I select Edit and go to Facebook tab there is an error with an exclamation mark with the message "Unable to edit SNS contacts on phone".

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhen in the camera and you hit the play button to review pictures, all pictures on the phone come up instead of just the ones i've taken with my camera. Is there a setting to change for this? Do i need to move my photos to a specific folder to avoid this? Right now i have all my pictures in the "media" folder. The camera pictures are in the DCIM folder. So how can this be changed?

1)Has anyone found a way to change which picture is displayed for a linked contact? On the HTC Aria, you could choose whether you wanted the picture from Gmail or the one from Facebook.
2)Has anyone found a way to change the displayed name in Contacts. Again, on the HTC Aria, you could pick whether to display the name from your Gmail contact or the one from the Facebook contact.
Can't remember if this was working before I had to do the factory reset on my Epic, but I think it was. I have my Facebook account synced and it shows the pictures under my call log, contacts, dialer, but does not show the contact pictures in my text messages? Anyone know how to fix this, it really annoys me seeing a bunch of empty picture slots when looking at my text message list.
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe display area of my SGS has been reduced there is now a black line (approximatively 1 millimeter thick) around the display now anything that should be displayed has been centered (a kind of)i have noticed that after press-holding the HOME BUTTON (to get to the task manager).even when the phone that black border is still there and it look like the screen has been pushed down the display is not now at the same level as the top-cover (or screen cover).I have used the factory reset but nothing has changed.My phone look horrible now.

Is there anyway to recover the files. I have read mixed messages online. Basic recovery software does not detect the mobile as they only look for physical external drives.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a black background, I keep the display settings at the lowest brightness settings, and I keep the screen off when I'm not using it, but my phone is dying after 8-10 hours if I don't use it very much and 4-5 hours if I use it regularly. Every time it indicates that it needs to be recharged, 65-80% of the power is going to the display. I...don't see how that can be.I'm using a Samsung Vibrant that I bought on July 30th.

I can send or attach messages to texts, but I don't get any images being sent to me. The Precedent runs on Straight Talk's network, and has "unlimited" talk, text and data. It's letting me send as far as I know, but I can't get any incoming pics in texts.

View 4 Replies View Relatedi cracked my Samsung Galaxy s3 screen and the screen was on working fine but i bought a kit to replace the screen and now i get no display on my samsung galaxy s3 i can charge my phone and Green led pops up i can also hear the volume as i turn it up and i can connect to computer as well but i cant see no display? Also phone was rooted to jellybean 4.3 if that makes a difference.

I don't know what's wrong with my phone, but the screen display is messed up. Sometimes, the screen will display if I keep clicking the power button one-hundred times, but other than that it won't budge. Everything thing else works when I press the power button, the keyboard lights up, the home button and other buttons light, just not the screen. Like I said, I have to repeatedly press the power button so that in a slight chance, the screen might display.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWell one of those things are a lie. The wizard might have started and I exited it by accident, as I turned on and off the phone after first start. I have done some form of reset by dialing *2767*3855# but I have not been able to do the factory reset by pressing the power button while holding the volume down button. View 4 Replies View RelatedSince installing Froyo, and also doing a factory reset, my battery life seems much worse.
Also when I check what has been using the battery there are not as many apps displayed, typically just 'Display' and 'Cell Standby' even though I have used the web browser, wifi and Angry Birds.
Maybe the battery needs recalibrating with the new firmware?
