Samsung Behold 2 : Upload Photos From Phone To Macbook / Take Larger Sized Pictures?
May 23, 2010I'm trying to upload photos from the phone to my macbook. After uploading several pics to "my T-mobile album" and after emailing them to myself, I notice the pictures are pretty small, 480x360.. no where near what I expected from 5 megapixels (and yes, I have the option set at 5mp). What can I do to take larger sized pictures?
Possibly unrelated, I use the stock USB cable to plug in the phone. The phone will charge, but my Macbook does not recognize anything as being plugged in, so I cannot manually browse around to upload my photos. What gives?

Sep 7, 2010I'm trying to upload photos I've taken on my Vibrant to my PC. I connect the USB wire, but I can't figure out how to get the pictures onto the computer. Can someone please explain how to get them from my phone to the PC? I've got some really nice pictures taken that I want to get uploaded.

Mar 20, 2012I've been reading a few old posts about a problem I've been having when taking photos with my new phone(in title).
When i take a picture holding the phone vertically it comes out sideways, but only when i E-mail it or upload it somewhere.
The general consensus i got from reading older posts were, that you have to hold the PHONE(not actually a real standalone camera) sideways to take the photo in its proper angle. So my question is... is this correct? Is this actually true?
Now had i known this previously to taking dozens of photos, i would still be pissed off! It's ridiculous if this is true.. i mean first of all why can't i have the option to take it vertically for an up right photo.. secondly, why when you open your camera to take a photo doesn't the initial screen appear sideways as to identify the standard operation of taking a photo with the phone, And thirdly, why display the photos in the gallery in the vertical position when taken vertically, shouldn't it be displayed sideways then??
It's a phone, not a stand alone camera.. phones are generally held in the upright vertical position at most times.. it makes sense you should also to be able to take a vertical photo with out having to rotate it sideways.
When i view my photos in the gallery that i had previously taken in the vertical position, they appearing vertical... not sideways!! Why not display it sideways, as it's meant to appear in the true form..... Okay..now.., when i E-mail a photo taken vertically to someone, on the photo icon in their email it appears normal and upright, but when you view it or download the photo it comes out sideways, right.. but then when i try to correct those photos in the gallery on my phone by rotating them to the right so it should appear normal when someone views or downloads it, it appears again sideways but in the opposite direction, as if I've taken the photo properly in the "Camera" position to appear normal, but it appears rotated it to the right... again not in the upright position.

I'm curious if this is just a Sprint issue. Evo on Sprint is much faster ,so its not a network issue.

Oct 16, 2010Usually when I want to upload pictures to my computer I hook up my phone via USB cord and transfer them, that way I can edit them and what not. Lately though, every time I try to go into my "DCIM" folder (aka Camera Pictures) to transfer them my Windows Explorer freezes up and I basically can't do anything to transfer my pictures. I have dropped my phone in water but this was a few months ago and every thing else has seemed fine so far. Could it possibly be the SD card?

Dec 27, 2012I have always used dropbox and enjoyed using the auto upload picture feature. Well since I have been moving over to drive I am being almost forced to give up dropbox. I am annoying that with my Windows PC that the even the full size auto upload to G+ doesnt show up in drive. Its a completely separate animal. It uploads to G+ but what If i want to use that pic on, lets say facebook, I guess I have to download it to my computer then upload it? since it doesnt just go into a drive folder? any way to make it just go into a drive folder? or what they use to auto upload pics?

Sep 26, 2009I am trying to make an application which will upload pictures to a website. I need to let the user browse through the pictures they want to upload and select them. However, when I try to use the MediaStore I always get an empty cursor.
I created an SD CARD image and used that with the emulator. I know one image exists in /sdcard/media. I copied it using an image manipulation tool (winimage). And, I can see the image when I use the command "ls / sdcard/media" in the terminal application of the phone.

Am I missing something here?
