Jul 21, 2010Has anyone been able to get their contacts to sync with their facebook profile picture? I finally got the account synced or so it says, and if Im in contacts and click on the far right tab I can see everyone's status but none of the facebook profile pics have been applied.

Sep 26, 2010Ok so I have my first Smartphone, a Samsung Fascinate, and I simply love it. One thing that I REALLY like is the sync of facebook and twitter to my contacts. I like the fact that it syncs their photos and status and such, especially since I'm a facebook/twitter dork. My only problem is that the synced photos both in the contacts page and my "buddies now" widget are EXTREMELY low quality. Is there any way to get the higher quality photos to show up in those programs? Its not a deal breaker, although it does look a little nasty when the rest of the phone is so sharp.

Oct 11, 2010So, after having to live with GPS that's at best flaky and at worst non-existent for the last three months I've now found something else related Samsung has managed to screw up. All the photos my phone has taken are geotagged with 0 lat, 0 lon. So, somewhere off the west coast of Africa. Other handsets I've used have tagged with the inexact location (i.e. cell tower fix) when an accurate location isn't available.
I would expect either this or no tag at all. Maybe while I'm stripping off the tags this evening I'll put in an order for a Desire HD. Thanks Samsung, I'm just about annoyed enough now to no longer care what fixes or updates you may choose to grace us with at some unspecified point in the future. Ok, that rant may have been a bit over the top but I do feel a little better now!

I have not rooted, unlocked, etc. I can boot it into recovery mode volume/home/power, but before I try a hard reset, I'd like to get the photos and videos of my son's birthday off. Oct 21, 2010I'm using my SGS to take photos at max resolution (5MB), the average file size is 1.5MB. I want an app that will resize the photo to a lower resolution (640 X 480) so that the file size is small enough to send it easily through email (over GPRS conn). Can someone recommend a app that can do this, preferably free? Right now, I transfer the pics to my PC & use Picasa to export the photos with a lower resolution.

Nov 29, 2010Since I updated to Froyo when the official one was released for the UK my Gallery has been almost useless, it now sorts photos based on where they were taken which I don't want and it doesn't show any new photos/videos I take, possibly because the phone saves them to the external SD card now instead of the internal one. Is there anyway to fix this? I've looked everywhere for some gallery settings but I can't find anything, to change the sorting etc.. Or can anyone recommend a half decent gallery app? I just want something that shows the recent photos I've taken...

Feb 13, 2014I want to be able to pull in google plus photos when using photoshop touch and autostitch apps etc. But their import options only access local folders on my device. I can download individual photos one at a time to a generic download folder from google plus to use, not full albums. When I try to create a new folder in gallery, and move the Picasa/Google Plus photos I get a notice saying "unsupported file." I read somewhere that there should be an option in gallery that makes photos available offline, but I don't have that. Just basically trying to be able to organize and download my g+ photos for use with these apps, in a less time consuming way.

Apr 19, 2010I have a question that I'm not sure if it's even possible since they are two completely different ROMS. I have been running BH-man's Galaxy 1.6 Rom R8 and have been loving it but the two things that have not been working is starting to become a factor and Im really needing Vibrate and the default BH2 camera features. So with that being said, I went ahead and made the switch to the Behold 2 1.6 with No Twiz, and is very fast and nice, minus a few features from the Galaxy rom. Now, I have been wondering if its even possible to have the Dialer & Contact interface from BH Mans Galaxy 1.6 added to this default ROM without it messing anything up. If that is possible, would a pullpush the two files over to the 1.6 no Twiz Rom work? I know that at one point BH_Man has done this in the past but it was based off 1.5 I believe.

Whenever I make or receive a call, the name is shown, and the phone number is shown underneath the name instead of the type that the number is associated with.Any way to show the type (mobile, work, home) instead of the number itself? Otherwise are we supposed to memorize which numbers belong to work, mobile, or home?I don't even see any icons, or colour changes that would signify one of the types.

Sep 30, 2010I'm using a Galaxy S phone (Epic 4G) and I have the following problem.I created a shortcut to a contact on the Home Screen like this:
- from the home screen, menu->add->shortcut->contact
- contact manager comes up; select contact
- the icon appears on the home screen.
Then when I tap the shortcut, it pops up a menu (call/info/message/email icons). Tapping the "call" icon displays all the available phone #s for that contact.However, I used "Mark as default" to set a default number for that contact, and now it dials that number right away instead of giving me the choice of numbers. I want to UNDO this, and clear the default number setting but I cannot figure out how to do it!
