I would like to upload videos from my computer to my SF. I'm using Salling to do the same thing with my music but was wondering what the easiest way is for videos? Is there even a video player on the SF? What file formats will it recognize? This is a very important feature to me and I'm surprised it isn't very intuitive.

I just purchased the Fascinate and I love it. I'm trying to transfer my music and photos from the vcast application on my computer to the phone. I loaded the application on my computer and searched for the music and pics. That worked fine. When I plug in the phone, the computer doesn't see the phone. USB issue.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a HUAWEI g300, and while the quality of still images taken with the camera are great, video quality is awful. Or, to be more specific, the audio that goes with the video is very poor.
I believe that this may be due to the file format of the video.
For this reason, I would be interested to know whether there are any ways to change the file format which videos are recorded in. Are there any alternative camera apps that are any good, which ideally allow the user to select their own file format? My device is rooted btw.
When i connect my fascinate to my pc via USB i can view all the files on my sd card, transfer back and forth, but the videos i've recorded are in mp4 format and my pc only plays them back as audio. Anyone have any idea how i can ciew on my pc?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI cannot seem to find an answer to this although I seem to recall that when I first got the phone that I did it once for one word. When in Android Keyboard input, if you type in a word that is not in the dictionary, is there a way to save it so that it comes up again in the future and you don't have to type the whole word out each time you use it? It appears that this is the case in swype (which I do not care for) but after a lot of trial and error, I cannot seem to locate a place where you can do this.

The BB gave me the option of either streaming or downloading videos, I loved that. Could someone please tell me how to download videos to the SF? I wasn't sure what to tell him. I looked, and I noticed his pictures have a "share" option that you can send them to Picasso. Is that good? The videos however did not have this option. Should he simply connect to his PC with a USB cord and copy the files directly?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can not figure out how to transfer my videos from my SF to my PC via USB. I successfully transferred one video via dropbox, but it seems to be having trouble with the current one I keep trying to move, maybe due to it's larger size, and it seems like it should be obvious to just plug in the USB and transfer it. The trouble I am having is that once my pc finds my SF and I "mount" it, and I have tried this via mass storage and via the media sync options, my pc will only let me view and transfer the files from the sd card, but apparently the videos I record with my phone are not stored on the sd card.
I need to know how to a) make the videos/pictures store on my sd card rather than the internal memory and b) transfer the videos/pics from my phone to my pc via USB. Usually I can figure this stuff out, but after searching all day, and reading tips, and going through the manual, and installing samsung's usb drivers, I have had it and need a nudge in the right direction.
Is there a way to display the names of videos or pictures when viewing them in the gallery? Alot of my videos have the same beginning screen shot so to find the one I want I have to literally watch them to figure it out. There has to be a way to show the names without having to go through My Files > media > videos. I want to know what the names are when I go to view them

Last night, I was performing at a night club and I wanted to send the videos to friends and what not so they can hear our singing. However, the video clips are anywhere from 8-20 seconds long and they are not in HD quality but 3gp. Yet it tells me the message can't be attached because it's too large.
Today I had a show, and my brother recorded me and I wanted to send the video out and it still says the same thing. Is there anything I can do? I love At & T but I am wondering does this have anything to do with their Data cap because when I had my Droid X and Incredible on Verizon. I was able to send videos up to 30 seconds long to phones via MMS but I can't send videos on my Captivate. I couldn't send videos either on the Xperia X10, I had, the aria I had, and now the backflip. (I am just using it because I love motoblur for the social networking, not the phone).
What PRL file version are you all on? Mine is on 65168 now. I thought that was the hybrid one but thats the one I get when I *228 option 1 or 2. Is this the version you have on your phone also?

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter successfully sorting out all the troubles of connecting SGS to KIES, and been using it happily for almost a month, now I'm facing another trouble which is quite big this time. Windows Vista (32-bit) and Windows 7 (64-bit) can't recognize the phone when connected through the USB. Got a message says the USB Device/Hardware Is Not Recognized. I'm using the SGS original cable. The cable was working perfectly and now suddenly it doesn't work in data mode but still able to recharge the phone battery. Am I having a cable problem? Or worst, the USB connector (on the phone) problem? I tried to clean the USB connector on the phone but still can't connect the phone to my computers.

While playing around with Titanium, I was prompted to enable USB Debugging. I remembered having turned this on pre-2.1 for PDANet. However, when I plugged my phone into my PC via USB, it didn't recognize it. So I thought maybe I'd reinstall PDANet to get whatever drivers it loaded to use the USB in Debug mode. I did that, and installed the Samsung USB driver it says to install, but it keeps telling me during PDANet install that it doesn't have the driver. Anyone have any advice here?
