Now that we know this phone is getting an early/mid September release.
I have a few questions:
Do you think GPS will work on the phone out of the box?
Do you think Froyo and Flash will come pre-installed?
I hear the phone only has 2GB of onboard memory, but is there a microSD card that is pre-installed? If so, how much space is on it?

Is there an easy way to export a list of all the free Apps I have installed so I can print them out? GPS issues?
If you read through that page there is a guy on there who is talking to someone at Clove Technology who is supposedly talking to someone from Samsung. What they are saying is that the fixes will be bundled with Froyo and hoping for an end of September update.
No one knows do they? Iam waiting for froyo before I root. Better safe than sorry.

Id just like to know if the new update's going to do the same .. not real keen on losing a great deal of paid apps
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my phone. I'm not new to rooting either. And when I was pulling up a file, I got this screen. Another interesting thing, is that we have a file called FlashSVGPlayer.apk embedded into the phone, and FlashPlugin.apk
Update:
FlashPlugin.apk is Pineone Flashlite Plugin.
but FlashSVGPlayer.apk is Adobe Flash Player.
After de.bloating I was looking in /system/app & there are 4. Flash files n that directory. All we need is froyo.

This means I cant do a Titanium Backup restore to get all my stuff back. Anyone know of a quick fix? or do I have to roll back and start again?

Samsung Fascinate USB cable issue and Adobe flash player.I've got Verizon Samsung Fascinate a few days ago. I really like to phone but there are some things I can't figure out and their tech service wasn't able to answer my questions.First of all I couldn't figure out how to download my pictures from phone to my PC by using USB cable connection. I totally don't understand how USB works with it at all.Second thing, I was trying to watch some of my TV shows but I wasn't able to do so because requests to have adobe flash player. But couldn't manage to download. Is there another program I can use?If anyone has answers for me that would be great.

All the buttons seem to work on the screen except the locked ones on the bottom (phone, contacts, messaging, applications). I can use ALL other buttons except these will not work.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI returned my first Fascinate due to it kept complaining the memory card was not plugged in. Would have to pop off the back of the phone off and remove then reinsert it to get it online again to use camera. Had to pay for an advanced replacement tell they get the old one back. Ugh. Well the replacement I just got does not do this but the compass does not work on it. I downloaded a compass app and it keeps saying abnormal readings and I need to recalibrate but no avail. My previous Fascinate seemed to have a working compass. Did I get a second defective phone?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI can't get GPS navi to work for the life of me. Before, it used to flash that GPS symbol on the top of the screen until it connected to GPS, and then it remained solid.
Last night, I tried using the navi and finally gave up after 30 mins of no connection. The GPS icon didn't even appear on the top bar. I tried all sorts of combinations between VZW / Google / Phone GPS, and GPS was of course "on". Any ideas on what is going wrong?
