View 2 RepliesThis was listed under the "Samsung Galaxy S" sub-forum but would it also apply to the Fascinate and other US variants of the phone as well?
GPS issues?
If you read through that page there is a guy on there who is talking to someone at Clove Technology who is supposedly talking to someone from Samsung. What they are saying is that the fixes will be bundled with Froyo and hoping for an end of September update.
No one knows do they? Iam waiting for froyo before I root. Better safe than sorry.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhy does it seem to me that using my 54mbps wireless adapter with WIFI tether on my fascinate seems faster (and gets better speed tests) over connecting to USB2.0 over PDAnet? shouldn't USB connection be faster?
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust wondering because i still have 3 weeks to exchange for another phone. Call quality is great in quiet surroundings but with background noise not so good. Will this froyo update fix this minor but very annoying issue??
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded wireless tether, the newest version and the two previous versions. I install the apk using the fascinates file manager. The program appears to run fine on the phone, and says 0.4kb download and .1kb upload. I've used two different laptops, one with windows 7, and one with XP to try to connect to the phone. I can find Android Tether as an available network for both computers. However, when I click to connect, both computers cannot connect. When I perform a diagnostic test, windows reports there is a problem with the access point, but cannot fix it.
View 3 Replies View RelatedNow that we know this phone is getting an early/mid September release.
I have a few questions:
Do you think GPS will work on the phone out of the box?
Do you think Froyo and Flash will come pre-installed?
I hear the phone only has 2GB of onboard memory, but is there a microSD card that is pre-installed? If so, how much space is on it?
Anyone try the wireless tether app after rooting? I must admit, I love my Skyraider ROM'd DInc, but damn that phone is sexy! 2.2 is nice, but if I'm tethered, I could wait.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have downloaded easy tether on my phone and my computer and I can't seem to get it to work. i have also downloaded the samsung drivers. It keeps saying that it is not connected.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my wireless tether isn't working properly. I turn it on and it says that its been granted superuser permissions but then no data moves up or down(or it'll say .4 down and .2 up) and no devices find it! I need help making this work because i'm going to buy the google tablet and just use this to power it WIFI.

Does anybody know if you root will you still get the 2.2 update when it's released? I did root originally but decided to unroot because without 2.2 I can't do what I want anyway and I don't want to miss 2.2. Now if there were some cool custom ROM's it might be different......
View 7 Replies View RelatedI was wondering if app updates only show up once you've been in the "Market" or will the notification come up if you haven't opened the market for quite some time?I'm thinking the only time I've received a notification is when I'm in the Market. Is that the case?Other times, I do not get notification, then I'm in Market and I choose "downloads" from the menu and it tells me some of my apps have updates available on my list of downloads. Still no notification.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWell my phone has an option to update all my applications but my wifes does not. Wonder why there is a difference and how to set hers to update all?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI see that handcent sms put out an update (version 3.4.5) last week. Should I update to it? Have there been reports of bugs with this update? In general, what is the best way to find out if any app update is good or bad?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to download the update for my Fascinate, but it keeps failing. I check for updates, and it says new update available. Then I click OK to download. It appears to start, then always stops at 10% and network error pops up. When I go to update status, it says "network error" and "code 409".
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt gets to the point of "verifying update package" and then says a bunch of other stuff (can't read it as this step and the next happen too quickly), and then in red says "Error in data/fota/(then I don't know what it says here because it reboots)." It powers back up and then tries to run the update process on its own again. I can cancel out of that and it works fine, but I'm just wondering why it won't update. No other root users have had trouble, right?
View 12 Replies View RelatedAnyone have it or know who I can get it from?
