I was talking on the phone, and another call came in (call waiting). Suddenly, my phone just restarted itself. Fortunately the reboot time is very fast, but of all the bugs to possibly run into on any cell phone, the scariest is the idea of dropping calls. I am convinced this may be a software glitch that will get fixed with an update.

Does anyone else get bad quality at medium to higher volumes through normal calls (not speakerphone). Anything over two notches from muted gives me a wierd vibrating noise when the other end is talking semi high pitched and consistently. It sounds almost robotic or like paper. I didnt know if this was just my phone, the majority, or all epics suffer from this problem.

Overall, I think the specs of the Epic win-out but the support (both HTC and community) for Evo is far superior. All of the debates about hardware and I havn't been able to find any real comparison regarding call quality. Since I actually plan to talk on the phone, what do those of you have one or the other or both have to say about sound/call quality? Ultimately, I think this will be the most important factor in my decision.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI tried the one click root on my fascinate. It was successful and the phone rebooted. After it started up, it kept making noise like it was ringing and wouldn't stop. Also now when I send texts, it will send them but it wont show them in the screen. Also the browser says page not available and every time I download from the market it says download failed. Also I have no 3G connection and time is wrong.

View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone had this happen to them? You place a call, and when you're done you attempt to hit the big red "END" button, but nothing happens? I've actually had the call counter tick off an extra 20-30 seconds before it hangs up.
Given that this is the main screen and not one of the capacitive buttons, I find this behavior very strange.
Is there a way to change the call screen? The current one is a little bland.

View 5 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then the End Call button will refuse to work (it doesn't even get highlighted when pressed), usually for up to 5 seconds. As you can imagine this can make ending a conversation considerably awkward. Any ideas as to what would be causing this? I first thought it could be the proximity sensor/screen lock, but the screen would have to turn off when this is in effect, which it doesn't. I can see the screen perfectly, I just can't interact with the End Call button. Is there any other way to end calls?

During a call, when I put the phone by my left ear, my ear and/or my cheek touch the screen, and though one would expect the buttons on the touch screen to be disabled during a call, when held against the ear and the face, I keep accidentally hanging up calls or in some other occasions, muting, having frustrated monologues to myself, thinking that the other person is ignoring me...
I mentioned using the left ear, because, it seems to have always happened when I held the phone by my left ear and not when I held it by my right ear.
I'm trying to find a more elegant solution, as dropping numerous calls is not an option. (today I dropped more than 15 calls). Any suggestions?
I was wondering if someone could explain how to forward a telephone # directly to voicemail? I tried googling this but the steps I found are not working (i.e. no option appears in my contact page to forward the #)
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo when I am on the call screen, and want to hang up or pull the key pad to enter some numbers, sometimes it takes about 3 seconds for the screen to become responsive and those buttons to become press-able. I say 'sometimes' because many a times it just works outright and I can lower the phone from my face and tap the end call button and it works. But other times it can create situations where I want to hang up the phone immediately but cant. Does it happen with anyone else?? One reason for this could be bad proximity sensor, but if screen can light up on taking the phone away from ear, it means proximity sensor is working fine. Any solutions?

View 3 Replies View RelatedIt's "booting up" even though I haven't even touched it. Seem's like it rebooted itself. Then once it's up I get no Cell signal at all. Wifi worked but no Cell Signal. As a test I tried making a call to confirm and it says something like "Phone not registered" I now reboot the phone myself, and it's ok now.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm on the stock rooted frg22d rom because of complications earlier and for some reason my phone randomly rebooted. I though nothing of it. But now when I rebooted. I only have 2 apps for some reason, Paper toss and Redbox Codes FWIW. So I tried to load a nandroid and I can't get into recovery. It just stays on the M and if I let it sit there then it would get into a bootloop on a stock non-overclocked rom. So yeah. Oh and my sister took administrator from my account so I can't use RSD Lite to non root and root again.
