The screen brightness on my epic will jump from 0% to 75%. I have auto brightness off and the power control widget is not on any of my screens. Does anyone know what is causing this and how I can fix it?

I have the brightness turned all the way up but when I open a web page it dims down? Then when I exit it goes back to normal bright. Is this normal?

1 - My screen brightness seems to adjust up on its own... To increase battery life I have it set all the way down...but, for example, as I was typing this post the brightness increased on its own... Any ideas?
2 - My voice recognition stops working all the time...not with one app either... Resetting my profile seems to fix it for about 5 minutes but it doesn't take long for it to go TU again
When i click on batch, then run to backup my apps it jumps back to the Backup/Restore screen with all the apps, nothing gets backed up. I have backed up before with Titanium and it worked. I reinstalled Busybox, didn't help. If i uninstall and reinstall will i lose all the things i did like freeze apps etc ? When i try to update through the marketplace it says installation error, package file was not signed correctly.

Even on the lowest setting it is still so bright, and on the battery use page it say that the display uses 65% of the battery.

View 13 Replies View RelatedOk so I'm about a week and a half maybe more in with the froyo rom the newst one and while I love it especially the battery life. I'm experiencing some new problems that I don't recall having before. The screen will randomly turn off even though I have the screen delay set to 2 minutes. Other times it will just get dim to about 30 percent regardless of the brightness setting. I'm wondering if this is strict lg a hardware issue or something to do with the rom? I'm just afraid one time its not going to turn back on lol. Also I'm having data lockups where I have to restart the phone at least once a day. I don't recall experiencing this before. A little help and or understanding would be much appreciated on these 2 topics....also does anyone know of any better roms? Like one where wireless tethering app actually works? I have yet to have it work since installing this rom.

Then today it did it when I set it down on a table, and when I turned it back on the battery went from 42 to 12 percent. I then reset the phone and it was at 24 percent. Is anyone else having this problem? Could the battery just be losing contact?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen my phone is charging my screen tends to jump a bit when I'm scrolling, has anyone else noticed this? If I scroll up or down and leave my finger in the screen, the screen will jump up and down in small jerky movements around my finger. I also noticed while playing breakout that the slider will have jerky movement as well while charging. Hope I'm not the only one who experiences this, it's not a big deal but bothers me. Does not happen when not charging. Also, some times when trying to tap the screen and select something does your droid randomly scroll down maybe 8% of the time? I have this issue as well.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Epic for about a week and have noticed that from time to time that the screen flashes VERY briefly to the home screen/lock screen when inside an app.
It happens when I'm in the browser, email app, etc. There does not seem to be any rhyme or reason behind it.
Sometimes when I hit the screen/power button the screen will stay black and i can see the menu bar up top fine but all else is black. If I hit the home key then all lights up fine. Then sometimes Ill hit the button and it works fine.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk time for the next issue with this phone. Has anyone noticed a general lag between touch screen presses and actions/sounds?
The best examples are:
1) I type fast, and keep the click sound when I type. I can literally hear about a 1/4 second to 1/2 second lag between when I press the buttons and when the sound clicks.
2) Download any free piano or drum up and try to keep a steady beat. There's a nasty lag between when you tap the screen and when the sound comes out.
For comparison, the keyboard and piano app on my old iphone (3G no less), work perfectly. And my iPad is wonderfully smooth.
Is this a software issue, or a problem with my phone?
Musical Lite is a good sample program for free if anyone wants to try this out.
I was at school listening to music on pandora and it died, went home plugged it in (charger) and now when i try to enter my password it doesnt respond AT ALL! no even the emergency call.. this is pissing me off to NO END as I got it 3 days ago... I tried taking th battery out and that didnt work, i called it with my home phone and she screen changed to the answer/ignor/ignore w/ text screen but the contact didnt move when i slid it over.

My Moment does that and it's annoying as I end up pocket dialing people or opening up programs because the keyboard slide on it gets jarred and unlocks the screen.This will be a deal breaker for me between the Epic 4G and EVO.
