For some reason I can not get the profile pictures of my facebook contacts to show as the pic next to the corresponding contact in the contact app. Had it working on my Droid, but the Epic is not cooperating.

What's up with the profile pics in our contacts that are synced with Facebook being so damn choppy and low-quality? Same goes with the Friends widget on Touchwiz. I have to rely on taking my own pictures and cropping them into my contacts. Is there no other way around it?

I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?
View 26 Replies View RelatedSo I been taking pics with my EPIC 4G and I thought it was supposed to be one of the best on the market. Well I have to take a few pics to try to get a decent pic. Most come out blurry to slightly blurry. My old Sony Erickson took better pics with lil fuss. Is there something that I'm doing wrong? Am I supposed to tap it and wait for it to focus before taking a pic? Even with that it comes out a lil blurry.

However, I've sent it over 10 times for the past two days, to two of my email accounts. I've also tried sending another pic.but nothing. When the Gmail app thing opens, everything seems ok, and I fill in all the info and hit send. But nothing is being sent.
I am trying to determine whether the Epic will sync with Outlook for email and calendar, but it does not seem so.Is anyone aware of a solution for this?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI work in IT at my company and support mobile devices and their connection to our exchange server.One of our employees got the Epic 4g and she continues to have issues with ActiveSync not downloading emails right away. For example, this morning she had about 25 emails come in and on her Epic it showed the last email being from yesterday. I tried to manually refresh the email on the phone and it did not download any new emails. I rebooted the phone and it started downloading all her emails. This is not the first time this has happened. This is a normal occurrence for her. It will not download anything for a few hours to a few days then download everything at once.I know it is not an issue on our side as we have about 20 iPhones and about 15 Android devices working fine including my Evo. So far, she is the only one in our company with an Epic however we have about 3 employees that are about to leave their Blackberries and iPhones for the Epic and I have told them to hold of until we resolve this issue.

View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought this sprint samsung moment a few weeks ago, and I was wondering why I can't upload mobile pics from my phone to facebook. I have the facebook app on my phone and it does not seem to let me upload mobile pic's. In order for me to upload pic's I have to go to the mobile version of facebook and upload the pic via some email wich then post the pic for u, but the problem is it seems to post my pic's side ways.
I know lots of folks with other phones some of them crappy that just click on the photo and select upload to facebook....why can't I do that on this phone? Why does this phone not give me the option to upload from the pic? Why does the facebook app FOR android not let me upload photo's?

I'm in the gallery, and I can make it split out the pictures by date; fun...so I click that grouping of pictures and want to upload it to facebook...share only allows to bluetooth, picasa, email, gmail or messaging...no facebook...And if I try to go through facebook app to do it, I can only upload one photo at a time. there has to be a way to upload more than one photo at a time...

However, when I try to sync my work email, it keeps giving me a "Unable to open connection to server."I use Microsoft exchange for my email and am using the same settings I used on my moment and pre, but it just won't connect. All of my contacts and calendar events are on this and I need it for my job.I would be willing to use a 3rd party app if necessary, I just need this to work.

I have roughly 1000 Facebook "friends" but only 300 are really friends and family and the rest are mainly gaming friends for games like Mafia Wars, etc. and I don't want to sync those. I want the Facebook contacts who I personally know to show up when I use the contacts icon on the home screen. I would like to sync them but I'm afraid it will import the list and I would have to manually delete them.
