i have a samsung epic and im trying sync my contacts with facebook. i was told to uninstall the facebook app and reinstall the newest facebook app. i tryed going to manage applications in the settings but the facebook app isnt in there, so how do i find it so i can uninstall it?

I'm in the gallery, and I can make it split out the pictures by date; fun...so I click that grouping of pictures and want to upload it to facebook...share only allows to bluetooth, picasa, email, gmail or messaging...no facebook...And if I try to go through facebook app to do it, I can only upload one photo at a time. there has to be a way to upload more than one photo at a time...

I have roughly 1000 Facebook "friends" but only 300 are really friends and family and the rest are mainly gaming friends for games like Mafia Wars, etc. and I don't want to sync those. I want the Facebook contacts who I personally know to show up when I use the contacts icon on the home screen. I would like to sync them but I'm afraid it will import the list and I would have to manually delete them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have my facebook synced with my calendar, now I came from Web OS and if you would confirm to an event, it would show up in your calender, if you would put maybe/not attending, it wouldn't for those pesky 2 month events that people love to make. Now my problem is that I have it synced, and double checked and I am declined for the events and even have the "hide declined events" checked but yet they are still being displayed.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI've had this phone since Tuesday and it's not made it from morning to night one time. I am using it, yes, but I thought that was the point. My usual routine is wake up, check the twitter/facebook feeds, log in and check email, browse a few web pages, and get moving. today, i did all of that and took a walk and listened to a cd for an hour on the doubletwist player. i took a single photo. and made one very short phone call. it is nearly dead. it's been off the hook since 830 and it's only 3. I could do all this minus the music playing part on my blackberry, which was ancient 8830 and i would still have juice by midnight tonight. and it should be noted, blackberry constantly pushed my email--i have k9 set to manual, as i do with the facebook and twitter/social media widget. so that instantaneous access that's supposed to be so useful and exciting--i don't have it.
i've done all the usuals, turned off the bluetooth, the wifi radio, the 4g radio (the whole point of the damn phone), lowered screen brightness to the very lowest number, making it totally useless in bright daylight and i mean completely useless-can't see to answer a damn call), i have the screen lock to 15 seconds. i have the autosyncing off, i have the whole phone crippled, and it's about to die. does anyone have any suggestions? i was using launcher pro, but want to go back to the standard touchwiz--only bummer is i can't swap out the messaging icon for handcent which i installed over the regular msging app--because ppl said it uses less battery drain-- but not sure how to disable the old one. i am using live wallpapers, but again, how much of a drain can they really be overall? i turned off the animations, is this a lemon? will rooting make it better? will the new upcoming os make it better? or is 6 hours of usage all i can expect? srsly, i would like to know, because if that's the case, i will go back to the blackberry. i don't care how fancy the phone is, if you can't use all the fun things without it dying, then what's the point?
I installed Facebook for Android the other day. The update seemed to wreak havoc on my phone so I uninstalled the update. I can't, however, seem to uninstall the Facebook for Android. I just want to go back to Facebook for HTC Sense, since my phone was problem-free before I installed the Android version.
I tried "Manage Applications" and AppBrain. Neither will let me uninstall.
I just updated to Android 2.2 from 1.56
Before, the Facebook App was optional.
When I went to the Android Market --> Downloads
It told me there was an update ready for:
1) Facebook App
2) Maps App

I am trying to uninstall Facebook for Android. I have tried several ways in doing this and each time is says uninstall not successful. How do I uninstall it? Should I delete it using Titanium Backup? If I do this, can I re-install it through the market place at a later date if I wanted to?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI just rooted, deoxed, and themed my X using the 928 black glass method in the sticky.
Everything went perfectly.
After the blackglass theme went through, I changed it to the nextheme, and again, everything went perfectly except that the facebook app was still using the blackglass theme.
Now, I cannot uninstall the facebook app (says "uninstall unsuccessful") and I cannot update in the market (says: "installation unsuccessful"; although it downloads just fine).
I tried using root explorer to go into systems/apps to delete facebook.apk, which worked, but I still can't install the new facebook from the market.
Am I the only one having this problem? I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?

I'm pretty sure my home screen would do landscape with keyboard closed the first couple of days I had the phone and now it wont do it unless the keyboard is out. Anyone else have the same issue?
