Oct 10, 2010What's up with the profile pics in our contacts that are synced with Facebook being so damn choppy and low-quality? Same goes with the Friends widget on Touchwiz. I have to rely on taking my own pictures and cropping them into my contacts. Is there no other way around it?

I purchased my samsung epic a week ago and every since I've been getting the message that my facebook contacts is unable to syn at the moment an error of some sort,and too try later.WTH? My facebook calender syncs but not the contacts.I thought that it was th phone so I took it back to the sprint store they restarted my hard drive but it still didn't work,thy sent me to the repair center at another store and the general manager told me to go back and tell them to replace the phone and that I shouldn't be having issues so soon. Well I did that,they gave me a new phone and guess what.yep u guessed it,still the same issue.I went back to the repair center they played with it for 2 straight hours while I waited impatiently and still I walked away with the same problem. What the heck and I suppose to do now?

I have roughly 1000 Facebook "friends" but only 300 are really friends and family and the rest are mainly gaming friends for games like Mafia Wars, etc. and I don't want to sync those. I would like to sync them but I'm afraid it will import the list and I would have to manually delete them.

Aug 19, 2009My application wants a functionality of picking a contact from the phone contact, I have achieved this using the following intent Intent intent = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_PICK, People.CONTENT_URI); startActivity ForResult(intent, 001); I wanted few more functionalities
- An option to create a new contact from the pick list, similar to the one which is available in inbuilt Launcher appliation
- Set of contacts should be filtered from display i.e already selected contacts should not be displayed
- Filtering of contacts should be based on the phone number i.e a contact might have two phone numbers associated with and wants to filter out the phone number which is selected I guess above can be achieved by implementing my own pick list using contacts provider, is there any other way without implementing the new pick list

I removed some bloatware using TB and removed the apk responsible for updating my facebook contacts profile pics. I notice this yesterday as my wife had changed her profile pic and status they have not updated in my contacts. This has been going on since the night I 2.2 it and rooted and removed the bloatware. Does any body know the apk (system app) that needs to be re-installed. I have downloaded the system apps.rar file and have all of them, I just don't know which one it is.
