I have the congnition froyo and i am trying to make a back up with rom mngr. and clkwrkmd. but I keep getting this error on boot."E: failed to verify whol-file signature" "E: signature verification failed. I would just like to make a back up rom.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI've spent the last week or so retooling my launch screens with different launchers (LauncherPro Plus, Open Home, ADW) and I liked features of them all, but no one launcher had all the features I wanted and no one launcher looked completely ready for prime time. So yesterday I went back to TW, just to see what I was missing and found that I like it better than I did before. It's not on par with Sense (I had an Aria before I went to the Cap), but it's a well-executed UI with enough polish to make it look slick enough. The third party stuff was always a little janky and I had to futz with the phone to get it right. I come from a graphics background and, while I don't really dig the cartoony icons and I wish I had the option to select my own, it's a nice looking interface.

I had one paid app SystemPanel App / Task Manager and now its asking me to buy it again. I wasn't rooted so couldn't do a backup with titanium but will find a back up program for future backups of paid apps. So can anyone tell me how to get it back or did I just pee a way 3 bucks

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm using Launcher pro, and at random times, I go to the home screen to see all the icons missing. The dock's still there, but yeah. Only way to fix this would be to restart Launcher Pro, after which I'll have to wait around 30 seconds to even a minute at time for everything to come back. Is there some fix to this/maybe better alternative for launcher/quicker way to get the icons back...?

I have even factory reset the phone much to my dismay. Anything I can do to fix this? I have had the phone 2 months and loved it, now I am thinking maybe I should have just went Iphone4.
View 6 Replies View RelatedJust got my refurbished Captivate in the mail today, charged and activated it as per the instructions. It worked just fine for about 30 minutes or so. I put on a few apps and showed them off to my roommate, and things were going fine. Then all of a sudden I couldn't send or receive phone calls, nor was I able to get/send text messages. With no pattern or logic I would go from 3g to edge to neither of the two symbols (just full signal strength) to the international no sign where my full bars just were. If I typed and tried to send a text while the no sign was visible it would send and receive texts as soon as I got signal back, but that would only last a few minutes.
I've tried hard and soft resets and restoring the phone to factory settings, all to no avail, as well as checking my message center number. I've looked around in the forums and can't seem to find anyone who has had this problem, and I was hoping someone would have some advice or could point me to a thread that I may have missed. I'd talk to AT&T but chat hours are over and I have to be up early for work tomorrow and need my phone for that, so I'm not sure I can ask customer service tomorrow beforehand.
So I have a song that I like (smooth criminal) and I would like the opening to be my ringtone. I have heard of ringdroid but it doesn't seem to work well on my phone.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've been tinkering around with Odin and flashing to the many firmwares floating around- the latest is the JFM6 i9000 firmware.. Which also included flashing the CSC and kernel..
My question is, since I flashed the csc and kernel, how do I flash back to the stock JF6 rom that came with the phone? Just the pit and .tar (pda)? I have the firmware and the pit file.. just wondering what is entailed because of flashing the additional csc and kernel files as well.
Anyways, I've had this phone for almost two weeks now and I love it. The only two things that have bothered me is: 1) the battery icon, it'll look like 80% when really it's 60% and 2) when I press the button sometimes I'll have to hit it a couple of times to make the back button work.

View 18 Replies View Relateddoes anyone else have this issue where the deleted emails do get deleted but I get a notification within a minute that says 'new emails' and it will tell me that I have x new emails (x=number of emails I just deleted)but those emails are not actually there, just the notification comes up.I just clear it and all is good but i'm curious if anyone else has this issue.

And if I ship it back today (8/22) and they don't receive it until say the 26th or 27th, can I still argue that I returned it within the return period?
I somehow setup gmail and the "default email" application. that is kind of dumb to have both? anyway I want to use the gmail application. Where is the setup of the default email application so I can remove/delete the application? Gmail application - HOW / WHERE can you make it default to show pictures in an email? Not liking all the black setup applications and menus? If I get a different theme does that change all menus and color of default applications like messaging and setup menus/everything?

View 8 Replies View RelatedAnytime I click to add a new event it always defaults to "My Calendar"(phone built in one) as the Calendar it is going to add it too.I have checked my settings and I only have my google calendar checked so it shows all of those events.The "My Calendar" is unchecked too. But it always wants to add it to that one, not google. Any ideas how to change this? Or if not, is there another calendar app you could recommend I use instead of the stock then?This is really annoying that every event I have to change and select Google.I use google calendar for everything, and if I forget once it could cause a lot of problems. Plus, I don't want to think about having to change it manually EVERY EVENT!

1) My ringer, when someone calls me, starts off quiet for a few seconds then goes to full volume. The ringtone I have doesn't do that by itself, it must be a setting. Is there a way to make it ring full volume as soon as someone calls me?
2) Is there a way to make the phone vibrate when receiving a text message either while the phone is on vibrate or on normal volume.
Never mind. Contact reappeared for some reason, by itself, after about 10 minutes. Sorry. Useless thread.
