I purchased 360 camera and SoundHound on my Aria. Is there a way of moving those licenses over to the Captivate, or do I have to buy them again? If so, I'm going to be very hesitant to buy more programs and games because what happens if you crash?

I rooted my captivate thinking that i could install apps that are blocked on my phone, like Sirius XM, WiFI tethering.....even after rooting the programs are still being blocked and i cant install them. am i missing something? im new to android and had an iphone that i jail broke. im confused on what rooting actually.

What do I have to do to fix this? It keeps happening and I can't do what I want on my phone. Do I need to install a program to fix it? Or do the odin ROM load to stock and reroot it?
I was planning on dumping iPhone and get the captivate. They would not allow the unlimited plan. They said I have to keep the iPhone. Now thats a good reason to dump AT&T and go to Sprint or Verizon.
Any ideas or work arounds so I can keep the unlimited data. Any heavy users on the $25 plan? How is that working out?
Well I had some issues trying to goto the i9000 rom so I had to reflash back to stock. I had one paid app SystemPanel App / Task Manager and now its asking me to buy it again. I wasn't rooted so couldn't do a backup with titanium but will find a back up program for future backups of paid apps. So can anyone tell me how to get it back or did I just pee a way 3 bucks
View 8 Replies View Related( I am a new Captivate convert from blackberry) and trying to find my way through.My sd card ( 32 gig kingston) is recognized by windows ( when attached to usb) and recognized by astro file reader , and winamp etc.yet the built in voice recorder and video player will not run and I get erroro message.Your phone does not have an SD card inserted.I didnt format the card originally since the phone recognized the card without it
I also disabled the scan at startup with a program startup manager is that the problem ?
I am going to be getting a Captivate this week but had a quick question for those more experienced Android users. I am still rocking my Blackberry 8310, and have really enjoyed how seamlessly I have been able to sync my contacts and calendar with my Macbook programs (ical and address book). I am curious if I will enjoy the same simplicity the Captivate, or rather the Android software its running, as I do with my Blackberry.

Its the firmware that came on the phone and if its not the latest, what should I be running? I prefer a firmware thats been tested and known to work flawlessly. Currently on O2 in the UK so i'm worried about losing message center numbers and APN names etc etc.

I got my phone about a month ago and got sick of the lags and decided to upgrade. Upgraded to I9000XWJM2...much better but still see lags in some places....however the thing that bothers me is the phone volume went down! Sometimes I have to strain myself to hear on the speaker!

View 9 Replies View RelatedI just bought a Samsung Galaxy i7500 with Bell mobility and I am trying to figure all these threads out and how to root, and how to upgrade my firmware, but the biggest hurdle I have come to is my pc will not recognize my phone as a 'phone' it only sees the internal sd card and the external card. I have downloaded three different versions of the samsung PC suite, and everyone will not recognize it. Am I missing an important driver? All I am doing is connecting via USB, and on my phone I choose to mount USB so I can access my sd cards on my PC.

No longer on tmobile and while I love my moment I really wish I could have the camera apps, audio post card apps and the gallery. View 1 Replies View RelatedI didn't have this situation until Twix and now, DOTS. When I check "Battery use", I see a bunch of programs in there, without turning them on or using them like Android OS, Media, Swype, Market, Dialer ... In Twiz, even when wifi is on, it won't actually connect unless I manually connect it and it disconnects when the screen is automatically turned off. I had great battery life.
I drained the battery and recharged before I flashed ODIN. I pretty much did everything the same way as the previous times I flashed a new rom. I drained the battery again but that didn't seem to help.
I installed Advanced Task Killer. A while after I kill selected apps (a long list), the apps tend to turn on on their own. I had unchecked "Background data" but that didn't help either. Wifi connects unless I literally turn it off. (That wasn't the case.)
Is there a few check marks that I miss?

I flashed my phone to 2.1 then rooted, had no problems with either one. Now I'm trying to get rid of these dumb stock apps that are taking up space. Can someone direct me or tell me how to remove them?

I tried upgrading from GB2.3.4 to 2.3.6, and that's when the problem occurs.
I used ODIN 4.3.8 to flash the firm ware. But ODIN was downloading MIBIB for the past few hours.
And then, the screen appear a "Phone connecting to a PC, with a exclamation mark in between."
The vibrant comes with two stock email programs. Please save me some time with my new phone, which is better? what are the differences? is there a better email app?
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen my Epic boots off a fresh restart I have approximately 140M of Ram available but over the next day for so it drops to as low as 60M and I will notice sometimes when i kill apps with ATK it kills 22 apps and then it will raise my RAM up to ~120. It seems that when my ram runs lows it shuts off my live wallpaper and reverts to the standard. My question is why do all these programs load and eat up the RAM when i have never used them. IE media hub, amazon mp3 , qik etc etc they all just start on their own running in the background. Is there anyway to get them to stop loading and is killing all of them at once a bad idea?
