Am having an issue with trying to upgrade my 2 gb card to 16 gb card. My pc only sees the phone as unknown storage device. And can't get the info on the 2gb copied to the 16gb.

I bought this from Monoprice: "USB 2.0 A Male to Micro 5pin Male 28/28AWG Cable - 3ft" hoping to charge the phone away from home by plugging it into a computer. But all I get is an option to mount the SD card as a drive to copy files. It doesn't seem to be able to charge the phone. Do I need a special cable, or maybe a second charger from T-Mobile? I had always charged my old MP3 player with USB, so I figured the phone could do the same thing.

View 38 Replies View RelatedI just noticed something in my Vibrant sd card file called "Lazy List".I have no idea where it came from and haven't noticed it before, but it can be found in both my 01 file, and my Astro file, and consists of a bunch of random thumbnails that when clicked on show a lot of gibberish writing. I am afraid to delete this file since I don't know what purpose it serves. I have never downloaded anything called that, nor have I ever seen any of the thumbnails before.Does anyone know anything about this "Lazy List"?

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I boot up my phone, I'm getting this message: "Damaged Internal SD Card." Not a micro SD card. It's saying my internal SD card is damaged. Am I screwed? Do I need to return this thing? Is there a way to format the internal SD card on this thing? I found the "Format Card" option in settings. It's working fine, although the fact that this came up in the first place is very troublesome. Some further information: I did the GPS thing where you dial *#*# and some number, then rebooted my phone. My internal card was fine until I rebooted. That was the first time I got that message of a damaged internal sd card.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi was avaible to swap pictures, music and everything between the 2...but now i took out my memory card from my old hd2 and put it in(hence its 16gb, and i didnt even use my hd2 for a day it was given to me so it has nothing crazy on it) and now when i plug in my vibrant, it dosent read the card for some reason, removable drive pops up, but it wont access it, i also saw this happen with someone elses vibrant, any advice?...and oh yea, i do press mount on the usb thing on the vibrant screen.

With 2.1 update fairly imminent, I thought I'd take the opportunity to upgrade my SD card to a 4gb or even 8gb. I have had my Hero since November and love it, but I noticed recently I have just about filled my 2gb card with data.So ... what is the process involved? Is it simply a case of connecting to my PC, creating a folder and dragging the lot >>> swapping the card in the phone >> then dragging it all back onto the new card?

Just like many of you probably are, I am in need of more storage. 14 GB is evaporating fast, and I'm not sure the SD card is upgradable yet. I don't fully understand exactly what an SD card does besides provide storage (ie: does it function as a hard drive, etc). Basically, how are those who are upgrading their SD cards doing so without having to reload all your apps, re-buying apps you paid for, and having to otherwise completely set up your Droid all over again from scratch?

So to cut things short, is it possible to take a Micro Sim card from AT&T put it in a adapter and put it in say, a nexus one or captivate? What id do is take the no-contract pre-paid data plan of the iPad 3G, most likely the 200MB/month for $15 and use Google Voice and other various VoIP clients to use as phone and GV for texts. I pretty much have WiFi where ever I go and pretty decent AT&T 3G in my area. Yes I know, it's just not that simple. Id have to change the APN on the device to att's broadband. Tweak a heck out the phone. 1.) Is it possible? Ive seen it done for a data only iPhone 2.) It is legal right?

View 2 Replies View RelatedThis issue has been sorta "asked and answered" but the information I have found information has been on phones OTHER than the EVO. I just wanted to CONFIRM everything for the EVO (which I just rooted last night and NEW to the root modifications and options) before I got into any trouble! I have the stock 8GB card and want to update to a larger card. I rooted my phone last night and the only "rooty" things I have done has been: (1) full clockworkmod backup to the SD card; (2) Titanium backup; and (3) moving some apps to the SD via Move2SD Enabler.
From what I've read I can just copy the contents of my original card to the new card and put the card in the phone. I was wondering if this IS the case with the EVO? Since I am rooted with various backups saved to the SD card, are their any concerns with those files going forward? And do I have any concerns with the apps that I have moved to the SD card...will they continue to function with copy-paste to the new card inserted into teh phone?? And lastly...also probably asked and answered a thousand times but I didn't check ...can anyone recommend a class/speed/brand of SD card, most likely a 16GB card but perhaps a 32GB?? If I upgrade my SD card from say 8 to 16 gigs... can I merely copy over the directories from my old card to my new one so that my apps still work the same? Are there any hidden files or directories I need to worry about?

I'm currently running Aloysious 2.0.9 Maps, looking to run new Custom ROM after my Sprint Store Visit. My vibrate mode stop working recently, so I'm gonna take back to Sprint cuz its still under warranty. I know I have to Unroot first before i take back, so i will. Do i Unroot to the 2.27 OR the 2.31 stock ROM? Will i be able to ROOT back to a new Custom ROM like LiquidSense 2.1, CM6, or aospMod v0.9.7. How/What files do i need to transfer over from my old card to new card after or before i flash new Custom ROM.
