Alright so i am trying to get the Evo keyboard up here on the captivate but i keep getting this error message
any ideas as to why and what to do?

It does not happen on every message, it is pretty random. I have to resend it 2-3 times before it goes over. This happens even if I have full bar with 3g.
View 16 Replies View RelatedI thought this phone was going to be great, especially coming from 4 instincts (btw, the last one was working just fine, finally) I was just getting tired of it and really like the options the Hero offered and when working, it's great. I am getting this error message:

It is not allowing me to use the phone at all, it says no service. Even the sprint website has my phone greyed out as if it don't exist. Now if I do a hard reset, everything comes back on, but I lose everything. This is my second Hero and I am hoping that there is a fix. I went to HTC email support site to try and get a solution and it is down, getting really frustrated with this phone. I downloaded apps from the market and transfered music to the sd card.
Basically every single time I lose service, which I do every day because my campus has bad reception, this message stays until I turn the phone off and back on. How do I get rid of it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedOkay -- so I finally mustered up the courage to root and try a lag fix. I rooted using the unleash the beast files. And then tried the lag fix over at XDA found here: xda-developers - View Single Post - [UTIL] One Click Lag Fix 2.0
I ran the lagfix_ext2, like the forum says -- it took about 10 minutes to do some things ...There was an error message in the middle saying that it had to stop the process. I said okay, but the process kept working, finished, and then rebooted. It booted up, and I downloaded quadrant again (it was gone for some reason), ran it, and only ran an 895 -- this is 16 points less than what i ran just using the unleash the beast. Should I try the lag fix again?
I have a captivate. When I compose a text message the persons number initially shows up as the ten digits. Now when I close out of the text message and try to go back and serbs something the persons number shows up as only 7 digits. When I try to send a text with only the 7 numbers I get a return error message saying
8852662 Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number.
Alright so today for some reason when I replied to, I would get an error message saying that It was unable to send. So I had to delete my email address and re install it. Now it doesn't update once I receive the emails or make a sound.. I have it so it supposed to but still does not. Anyone know what to do about this and how to make send/receive as soon as it comes not every 5 mins?

I set my text message and voice mail alert, but it only chimes one time and that's it, so if I'm not near my phone at the time, I wouldn't know someone texted me until I go to use my phone. I have handcent, but get the same error message with stock messaging app.
The only things I could find within the incredible forums was that it may be linked to a app bug, which that specific app I have never used, or this is a known HTC error which I can't confirm.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can text anyone outside my area code, but when I try it with anyone in my area code I get a message that says to use the proper 10 digit phone number. I understand what that means, and have the 10 digit numbers programed for all my contacts, but when I hit on a contact and hit the text button only the 7 digit number comes up. That works fine with voice calls, but not with texting. I've been through my phone 20 times trying to find a way to make it use a 10 digit number for texting, can't find it.

1) My ringer, when someone calls me, starts off quiet for a few seconds then goes to full volume. The ringtone I have doesn't do that by itself, it must be a setting. Is there a way to make it ring full volume as soon as someone calls me?
2) Is there a way to make the phone vibrate when receiving a text message either while the phone is on vibrate or on normal volume.
phones worked good other then gps issue. recently after iv had the phone for 30 days it just stopped scanning for wifi access and wont turn on wifi at all.

However neither Super Manager or ASTRO will allow me to uninstall the crap ware on my phone. Is there something I'm missing? I followed all the steps at XDA. So far I've tried to remove YPMobile, ATT Navigator, and ATT Maps. Any suggestions? I tried searching this on google and this forum but didn't come up with anything.

The SYM button and the one to the left of it are blanked out - meaning they are just black boxes and clicking/pressing them does nothing. View 4 Replies View RelatedSearched the forums on this and found nothing - when I'm recording video after a few minutes I always get a "recording failed" error message. The video recording is there, but I have to start a new recording if I want to continue.
I'm recording at full resolution (not MMS) to the OEM external SD card. The card itself has over half its space left, so I'm not running out of room.
