May 16, 2010ever since the update last night i am unable to send text messages I get SMS code cause code 255, error class: 3.I'm getting pretty mad.

Jul 3, 2010so i just did factory reset, and texts wont send. SMS. get the error: SMS Error General Problems, Cause Code: 34, Error Class:2 come on, i thought factory reset was supposed to make EVERYTHING ALL BETTER you know how when sending a text, it swtiches to 1x? yeah well mines not doing that; it's staying on 3G.

Oct 6, 2010Alright so today for some reason when I replied to, I would get an error message saying that It was unable to send. So I had to delete my email address and re install it. Now it doesn't update once I receive the emails or make a sound.. I have it so it supposed to but still does not. Anyone know what to do about this and how to make send/receive as soon as it comes not every 5 mins?

I have handcent, but get the same error message with stock messaging app.
The only things I could find within the incredible forums was that it may be linked to a app bug, which that specific app I have never used, or this is a known HTC error which I can't confirm.

Nov 18, 2009My battery was giving me around six hours of life despite anything I did, so I decided to try to perform a factory reset and see if that helped anything. Well, I did the factory reset and the phone is back up and running (battery still sucks, though) but I can't seem to send any text messages.

Mar 21, 2010I can not send pictures via text message with the stock message app, Handcent, or Chomp. I had been using Handcent for the past 2 1/2 months or so just fine, it would send pics. Then all of a sudden about a week ago it just stopped. It just kept showing the turning green circle over and over until the sending failed. I updated it, I uninstalled it, I reinstalled it. I tried Chomp. I tried the stock app. None of them will send a pic to another phone or to an email. I can send pics to facebook with the facebook app. The stock email app will send an email with a pic attached however.

HTC Droid Eris :: How To Send A Busy Text Message When Already On A Call
Jun 15, 2010I accidentally sent a text message to a caller today when I was already on another call. That's a cool feature and I'd like to use it, but I'm not sure how it happened?
I found the option to change my outgoing text message under my settings, but now I just need to know how to use the feature. I tried it a few different ways with my son calling me while I was on another call, but I ended up dumping him into voicemail instead of sending the text message.

Jun 17, 2010I've been using my HTC Desire without a problem but for the last couple of weeks I have been getting unable to send notifications when sending texts. This can be almost instantly after hitting the send button. I'm on three. My friend has the same handset and he is on oange and is getting the same thing so is this a handset thing or are we both doing something wrong. If you leave the desire to do it's stuff it will send it. On other occasions it goes no problem.

May 14, 2010Found out yesterday that my "computer" is not sending text messages (using the native app). It caused an argument between my wife and I, and about damn-near caused a divorce. The bad thing is that, from what I can tell, it hasn't been sending ANY for a couple of days now. (Notice I didn't say that a potential divorce was not the bad thing ) I can receive texts all day long, not able to send them. In the time that I wasn't able to send them, I wasn't receiving any notifications that the text wasn't sent! I can go into the app, menu > undelivered and see 2 dozen texts there. Why am I not getting a failure notification if I have "Failure Notification" checked in the settings?
Because it went on for so long before being noticed, I have no way of knowing if I screwed around with the settings or if an app I downloaded has caused the problem. I've been tempted to use Handcent, but I'm leery about using something that radically changes the interface when I am a new Superphone and new Android user. Besides, it may not fix the problem.

I see others are having the same problem though.I have the Droid X I am using the messaging that the phone came with not an added app (I am on Verizon). When I try to reply to a text from my husband I get a message saying "unable to deliver. Please re-send with area code". He is in my address book with an area code and the callback number has the area code. But next to his name it does not have the area code (again, it is entered in my phone with an area code). I have tried to delete his phone number, text my phone with his phone, and reply, but that still does not work. It is so frustrating and weird. Even when I do not have him in the address book the call back number (shown as cb#) has the area code, but up higher when his name would be does not have the area code.

Jun 3, 2010Sometimes when I receive messages it makes the notification sound and will show message in notification bar but the text of the message will not appear in the text thread. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either.
