Anybody else having this problem in 2.2? I'm not sure if it ever worked or whether it stopped working since I did the update last night. I tried changing the pulse notification light setting and doing a reboot bit no luck. I googled the problem and a few other people have reported the same problem but no solutions.
I've only tested email notifications and app updates.

I'm new here & was wondering if there was any way to make it so that the trackball blinks more often than it does when I have a notification? It really irritates me how slow the rate is. I have to stare at it for like 10 seconds to know if I have a new message or not in class!

View 2 Replies View RelatedEver since i manually updated to FRF50, ive never heard anymore phone notification sound whenever i boot up, shut down, or plug into USB. It always does that back in android 2.1. But i have never heard it since i got froyo. Is it supposed to be like this?

Id like to figure out how to change the trackball colors. I went through all the settings I could think of but apparently I missed it. Where is this located?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe only notification light I am seeing is the trackball glowing every 10 seconds. The spec sheet makes it seem like the led above the screen is also supposed to be used for notification ala my G1. I tested it using sms and email and the notification ringt one rings but then no flashing led, just the pulsing white trackball every 10 seconds. One thing I really liked on my G1 was seeing the notification led's and being able to tell if it's an email, missed call, or sms by the color of the led flashing. Is anyone else's led notifying them? Oh, and my led isn't broken. When I plug it in to charge it's orange and turns green when finished charging.

I don't have bluetooth on and have been using 2.2 build frf83 for about a week and yesterday while watching tv i noticed the change. Has anyone else encountered this problem. oh yeah if the phone rings then it starts flashing white but after i hang up it will return to the constant blue.

I keep missing reminders because I'm away from my phone when the audible goes off and then I don't know it's happened....unless... I could have the trackball flashing too.

The trackball will light up and everything when I get a missed call or email or sms etc. and it will keep it up only for some 10 minutes. View 37 Replies View RelatedI went to flash a zip in recovery tonight, (specifically the stock keyboard zip for xtrrom 4.6, but that's beside the point) booted into recovery successfully, and I noticed my trackball isn't working at all! It would let me select reboot now, but thats it. Trackball is working fine once it reboots into normal mode, but it is completely useless in Recovery. Is it permanently like this or is it just a minor glitch I can fix with a few things.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOn the Nexus One (at least in 2.1-update1, and I think in 2.1), there is a setting under Sound & Display: "Pulse notification light". This doesn't seem to be present on the "2.1 with Google APIs" emulator image. I've not yet checked any other devices. I want to set this programmatically without user interaction, in order to make a Locale plugin, so the device can grab my attention when I'm awake at my desk, without having it floodlighting the room when someone spams me at 4am. It's quite bright.
I didn't see it in android.provider.Settings.System where many other things on this screen live, so I had a look in the platform source. There are some relevant parts in NotificationManagerService, in enqueueNotificationWithTag and updateLightsLocked. That goes off into HardwareService which seems well past the point of caring about user settings. I've no idea where this setting is implemented or how I might influence it. I fully expect the answer to be "there is no API for this" (perhaps related to it being Nexus One specific), and that the best I can do is to schedule (using Locale or something else) an Intent of ACTION_DISPLAY_SETTINGS to remind me to set the box manually, which would suck. I'm hoping that I've missed something, or that a Googler is reading this and can tell me that this is planned for addition to the API?
Can we set up the trackball light to light up when we receive new emails? as i can only get it to light up on receiving new texts, and phonecalls.

If i do a wipe of the device when I restart i get the over the air update to 2.2. It downloads and verifies but when i restart i go to the boot loader? screen? and I get an install failed message.

Here are the result:Nexus One (the tethering host device): 2Mbit/s down, 600Kbit up.My laptop on WIN 7 (connect to the hotspot): 200Kbit/s D, 600Kbit up Ipad (connected to the hotspot): 400Kb down, 600Kb up.The slow speed really annoys me. Even youtube is not watchable at the lowest quality setting. However, the upload speed is actually stay unaffected in all 3 situations, which made me think somehow the speed is controlled by Froyo.
