I'm new to flashing ROMs, and decided to have a play with Cyanogen. I used the one click root method, installed ROM manager, downloaded Cyanogen RC2 and tried to flash it. It keeps aborting.

im trying to flash the cyanogen mod 6 (V6.0.0-RC1) on my cdma hero and it keeps saying E:Can't open /sdcard/update-cm-6.0.0-heroc-rc1-signed.zip (bad) installation abborted what does this mean and why?im assuming its the zip file? so where can i download a working version of android 2.2 (froyo) for my cdma hero? i got this download from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755795

But whenever I try flashing Cyanogen from Rom manager or even from CyanogenMod-6 for Evo: Is that an Evo in your pocket - CyanogenMod Forum and Cyanogen6 link? just recently thinking I wasnt using the right zip. It gives me an aborted Error status 7 installation aborted! Any suggestions? I seen some serious game play, (FPS at 50) and just a whole lot of customization while browsing on youtube and I want in!

I downloaded a short video clip from the Internet. I assumed it would be stored in the "photos" file so I could easily delete it. But now I can not find it. I want to get it out of the phone.
Can someone kindly tell me how I can find it and delete it?

I received a new N1 after I swapped over by warranty but I don't remember is the camera flash was working on this new one before I put Desire and Cyanogenmod and on both the camera flash doesn't work, installed FlashApp and a couple of other apps that manipulates the flash but it still doesn't turns on.

About a month ago i noticed that contrary to before, pics i download from the web cant be seen in any app.
I only see them in the dowloads folder, and when i open them i dont have a share option, only "details", "print" and "set as".
Does anyone out there know if there is a way we can get a flash down loaded to ur handset for the camera as the photos i take are coming out really dark. shame really because when i take them outside in the daylight, the quality is Very good. if anyone knows i'd sure appreciate a reply.

So now that we have the wireless hotspot option I'm done with root. Especially considering I haven't been able to get weather updates for the past two weeks and my phone restarts when trying to install new apps.
I'm ready to just set everything back to stock and go back to getting OTAs. I know I can't relock the phone.
My problem is, I have the stock recovery image however whenever I flash it and try to go into recovery it shows me this screen with a little android guy and a big triangle with an exclamation point inside. And then it sits there until I do a battery pull.
I've tried this with the stock recovery from a couple different sources MD5 checks are all good.
Is there a way to get flash on a nexus 7? I have the smart swf player app from the Google play but I don't think that's the.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst of all i'm quite a n00b when it comes to rooting and everything, however back in feb when i got mt ATT n1 I decided to root cause of the cool apps that wouldnt run on non-rooted phones.I followed a step by step guide with success. Then the early 2.2 build came out and I loaded it with CM updater and it worked fine. However apps crash often and the phone seems sluggish. I want to flash to the newest release... thing is I don't know where to start.I don't mind loosing all the apps and contacts since I have everything backed up. I just want a completely clean 2.2 flash.Any idea of where to start? I saw the thread that talked about upgrading but since i'm already on 2.2 I dont know what to do.

Just upgraded nexus 5 to 4.4.2and the flash control is greyed out even with HDR+ deselected. I tested the flash by sheilding light with my hand and it works (on auto) just greyed out cant change from auto to manual. Pretty ordinary if you ask me. would like to force flash on on occasion.

BTW, I had no problems flashing pa to my Nexus 4&10 and loving that rom.

I just installed Dolphin HD browser but for some reason it's not loading any flash content on any site. Anyone have any ideas why not? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and rebooting as well. I'm out of ideas. The stock browser still works though. I'm on FRF91, non-rooted.
