May 29, 2010I know that wifianalyzer has this option. Is it not possible to say start webbrowser which turns on wifi then disables it when you exit?

Jun 25, 2010I have been using Evo as my primary phone for 2 weeks and I do not see any battery problems. Am I the exception?
I am a heavy user with about 70 texts, 20-30 emails per day, 1-1.5hour phone usage, occasional web surfing (1-1.5hour), listening to music (30min morning + 30min evening), GPS on all the time (but no GPS using apps running), Facebook and Sense. I didn't turn on Bluetooth or Wifi or 4G. This is a typical day for me. With this kind of usage my battery easily lasts the whole day and well into the night.

If I disable all apps except one what will the restricted user be able to do?
In an ideal scenario I'd like the restricted user to do only 3 things:
a) turn the tablet on/off
b) turn the application of my choosing on/off
c) all other options would be disabled
d) the restricted user should NOT see any data of the administrator

May 23, 2010I just got my update for my Nexus today. Unfortunately I made the grave mistake of leaving my Helix 2 app as my main launcher, so I was stuck in an endless loop of force closing. After restoring my phone to factory defaults I was able to set up my gmail account as I did when I first set up the phone.now that I'm going into the market, I'm noticing a LOT of apps that I had before (most of them paid) are not even listed in the app store. I'm also noticing that the Helix apps are not listed either. It would appear that non 2.2 compatible apps are not being listed? I have no idea, but whatever it is, I hope I get my touchdown full version app back soon, otherwise I'll be in a rough spot with work. (not a huge fan of the regular mail).Example, I did a search for the developer "Camel Games" I recently purchased one of these games, however, when I do a search now, I ONLY see all the free version, and no paid versions. If anyone has any insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone is not seeing the same thing as me, that would be helpful too. If I need to reset my phone again or something, let me know! I miss my apps

Jul 3, 2010Last night my Trackball changed from white to blue and refuses to turn off. I don't have bluetooth on and have been using 2.2 build frf83 for about a week and yesterday while watching tv i noticed the change. Has anyone else encountered this problem. oh yeah if the phone rings then it starts flashing white but after i hang up it will return to the constant blue.

Feb 7, 2010I don't know what I have done, but the power button on the top, which I used to be able to press to turn off the screen, no longer works. I can use it to turn on the screen. And I can hold it on to power down, airplane mode, etc. But pressing it once does nothing when the screen is lit up. I have tried wiping all data from the boot menu. This restores the functionality, but when I restore all my data and apps (MyBackupPro) the problem returns.

Nexus :: Hold The Power Button To Turn On The Phone?
Oct 18, 2010the worst thing about the nexus one is that you power on the phone by simply pressing the power button, not by *holding* it. how can I just *check* if the phone is turned off? when i go to a movie, i just want to double-check it's off, so i short-press power button but then if it's already off then i would instead be turning it on and have to wait for the long boot-up process. i just can't "make sure it's off".

Aug 15, 2013I have a problem with my nexus 7. A couple of days ago the wifi connection simply stopped working. I just could not turn it on. The wifi icon did not get blue, like it should when it's turned on, and it wouldnt even search for available networks.
So, i thought this might be caused by some bug or software problem and decided to do a factory reset on my nexus 7. The problem is, that did not solve the wifi problem and now i can't even use my device anymore, as it requires a connection for setup.
Does that mean that the problem is caused by hardware malfunction? I'm not very experienced with all the android hacking or installing a CFW, or whatever.

Jul 17, 2011I'm using a Nexus One running 2.3.4 and it looks like the gmail app version is 2.3.4.2 and I've noticed they've now incorporated the 'Important Labels' functionality into the app.
Problem is, I don't like/use/desire the important labels and now they're cluttering up my inbox view with a little yellow chevron next to the sender's name and the 'go to inbox' in the menu has moved and where it was is a 'mark important'
I had a look through the settings and I don't have priority inbox as my default, under label's there is a sync option for 'Important' which is set to 'None'.
Also I don't have the important labels for the web version of gmail proper on.
I think I may have accidentally marked one email on my phone as important (because that's where the go to inbox button was) so perhaps that's why they are showing up?
Any way to turn off/hide the important labels. Really annoyed that Google is making me find out how to opt-out of this feature rather than just asking if I wanted to opt-in

Feb 11, 2014So I upgraded to the nexus 5 and sold my phone to a friend yesterday. He claims that he has not deleted anything and that is froze and just stopped working.
I have the phone connected to my computer where the phones LED notification light is red but will not turn on or even boot into recovery. My computer isn't recognizing it as a device either.

recovery is CWM
What may have caused this. and if its bricked how to unbrick it if possible?

Sep 15, 2010I accidentally activated my wifi through the notification bar. As soon as it was activated, i simply tapped it again to shut it down, however, it failed to do so. All that happened was that the wifi had a blue color and off in the bottom. I tried turning it off through the power setting widget, it says that updating wifi. It was stuck like that until i restarted the phone.
