Figuring out how to have tasks sync between the N1 and my desktop is one of my main barriers to replacing my BlackBerry with the N1. gTasks seems good, but as far as I can tell, Google Tasks (and, presumably, gTasks) doesn't allow due dates with time and reminders. Am I missing something?

My Google Calender is great being a calender but I have added Tasks and they do not show up on my pc desktop and phone on the Calender itself except on their actual Web. I see I can access them seperately by using an App called gtask but wondered if there is a way I can set it up so I can see my events and tasks all together on one calander. Hope this makes sense lol.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBeing a long time OUTLOOK user on my Windows PC, I am use to my previous smartphone syncing these items with my phone. As of now, I see there is a google sync app, but unfortunately this doesn't work with the latest Office 2010 Public Beta. I have yet to hear of a time frame when support will be announced. So it looks like I am no solution running Outlook 2010 any syncing anything to my phone.
What are users on here doing for a desktop to droid sync for your TODO/Calendar, etc? I like Google Calendar, just don't like having to open a web browser on my pc to access my calendar.
It's hard to believe that Google still hasn't updated Android to include a Task sync feature for Outlook. Then again, their contact photo resolution is still 60 pixels, so I sometimes wonder if anyone is even tending the store.

But I have gobs of outlook notes that I want to use on my Sprint Hero. MyLink Access (Advanced) is about the only one that I have found, but their developers have not released anything other than the free version. They told me the advanced would be released before Christmas. I know it is not Christmas yet, but I just don't see that in the future. I would settle for an application that I could manage on my desktop so that I could retype all the notes and then have the desktop synch with the phone ..

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just updated to Jorte 1.2.2, which is supposed to be able to synchronize tasks with Google tasks.
Google calendar sync still works fine. I have selected my google calendar account as the "Task account".
(I know this was successful because it warns me that task sync is manual for now.)
I go to Menu->Tasks & Memo
I select Menu->Synchronize
The progress bar pops up. It pauses briefly at 30% and 60% but then always gives the error: There was an error while synchronizing your tasks to Google Tasks. Please Try again Later.
I thought it might be because of pre-existing tasks having funky data, so I deleted all tasks on both google and on the phone, and then tried one task on google, and when that failed, one task on the phone. Always the same error.
With task sync, Jorte becomes the TOTAL solution for calendars and tasks on the Android! If only I could get it to work.
My phone is the Verizon HTC Eris running Android OS 2.1.
Is it possible to sync your outlook tasks as well as the calendar and contacts?

View 3 Replies View RelatedRecently I got my Nexus S water damaged and they refused to accept warranty repair due to the water damage they found. Now it works partially, it boots, but the screen image does not show. The touch works, for example I am able to go blindly to the camera and take some photos and I know it works because it makes the shutter sound.
Due to the water damage the phone originally got into download mode only, the internal ROM was wiped out and I had to flash a new ROM and Recovery etc. with Odin. Now the phone is running stock factory image of ICS, and I need to figure out how to flash there something with debugging enabled, because the recovery doesn't work too.
The question is, is there a way to get some kind of remote desktop working over USB without doing anything on the screen? I'd like to be able to set up the phone as an AirPlay receiver at least.
I am new to Android smart phones (I was a blackberry guy). Who can help me sync my contacts, calendar, memos, tasks with my Outlook 2007? Is there a desktop app I can download?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI bought me an HTC Desire about 2 weeks ago but since then I am cut off my Desktop Outlook which I use as my main calendar on the desktop. HTC Sync that came with it flew off my system when after about a week it suddenly started to remove ALL items (from the device as well as from the desktop)! Fortunately I had a backup that was only a day old, so not much lost. Next I tried "Missing Sync" but that program lives up to its name - it's sync is still missing! Instead reproducible crashes due to SQLite exceptions - clearly some programming error. So, IS there ANY option to sync an HTC Desire / Android 2.1 phone decently with a desktop Outlook 2007? Or do I really have to revert to my previous Windows Mobile phone?

On the flip side, I have an ipad and through icloud, bookmarks are dynamically synched between the two - add bookmark in IE on PC and it appears on ipad, as well as the other way around.
I have found posts where people say on export/import, but that is a one time shot. Looking for something that is automated.

For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?
