Motorola Droid X :: Set Up Desktop Shortcuts To Account
Jul 19, 2010Currently using Launcher Pro. I have two separate email accounts with my ISP, Bresnan. With all my previous android phones I've been able to set up desktop shortcuts to each account so they can be checked separately. With the X, I cannot seem to do this. The email shortcut does not allow me to specify an account, and just shows the default account. I'd really like to continue to use my old system of two account shortcuts.

May 14, 2010Recently started happening, after reboot my desktop pic is reset to default HTC wallpaper, and my recent bookmarks are gone from desktop Anyone experiencing this mess? also, old uninstalled app icons are back, but when I try to click the phone corrects itself and says "App is uninstalled". If I fix this by hand and reboot, its back to square one..HTC desktop pic, old desktop shortcuts to uninstalled apps, missing bookmarks from desktop.

Jan 13, 2010Figuring out how to have tasks sync between the N1 and my desktop is one of my main barriers to replacing my BlackBerry with the N1. gTasks seems good, but as far as I can tell, Google Tasks (and, presumably, gTasks) doesn't allow due dates with time and reminders. Am I missing something?

Jul 22, 2012Recently I got my Nexus S water damaged and they refused to accept warranty repair due to the water damage they found. Now it works partially, it boots, but the screen image does not show. The touch works, for example I am able to go blindly to the camera and take some photos and I know it works because it makes the shutter sound.
Due to the water damage the phone originally got into download mode only, the internal ROM was wiped out and I had to flash a new ROM and Recovery etc. with Odin. Now the phone is running stock factory image of ICS, and I need to figure out how to flash there something with debugging enabled, because the recovery doesn't work too.
The question is, is there a way to get some kind of remote desktop working over USB without doing anything on the screen? I'd like to be able to set up the phone as an AirPlay receiver at least.
Motorola Droid X :: Music Player - Play Songs In Alphabetical Order - Play All Songs By Artist
Jul 31, 2010Coming from a Iphone to the X the music player is a little lacking. Often I will go into a certain artist and want to play all the songs by that artist, or thumb through all their songs to find a certain one. On the stock music player on the X this seems hard to do (maybe I'm missing something).
if I pull up the music by artist and select a certain artist then it shows me all their albums (The iphone has the option at this point to select all albums and see all the songs of that artist in alphabetical order). The X doesn't give a option to select all albums at this point. If I go to artists and long press on a certain artist I can select play and it will start playing all that artists songs, then I can hit pause and go into the list from that point to see all the songs but they seem to be in a random order making it hard to find a specific song.
I've tried a couple other players and haven't been able to find one that functions like the Iphone, makes it hard to quickly find one song.

But now my calendar is with google sync so I have no need to back up to my computer...that I know of? I also haven't seen any mention of a fascinate desktop? Is there one and should I be syncing up?

Sep 12, 2013I'm puzzled as to why I randomly get shortcuts added to my phone screen. They are smaller than all the other icons, and when I select them they take me to the appstore to download that specific app. These shortcuts are for apps I have not downloaded. I can't find them in my programs to remove, either.
I'm certain this is a result of another game I have downloaded, but I can't see where to shut it off. I've witnessed my phone flash something like 'Shortcut for Play Castle Crash created' while on a phone call or in another app. I'll remove it from my screen, but it'll reappear after a few hours. And if I don't remove them, they will fill all empty shortcut spots.
