Aug 15, 2013Problem: Appointments / events created on my LG Optimus G were not syncing to desktop Google Calendar. No problem with appointments / events created on desktop syncing down to phone. Problem Identification: Default calendar when creating appointment / event on phone was calendar called "Phone". There is no calendar on desktop called "Phone". Solution: Pick different calendar when creating an appointment / event on your phone.

Jul 6, 2010I bought me an HTC Desire about 2 weeks ago but since then I am cut off my Desktop Outlook which I use as my main calendar on the desktop. HTC Sync that came with it flew off my system when after about a week it suddenly started to remove ALL items (from the device as well as from the desktop)! Fortunately I had a backup that was only a day old, so not much lost. Next I tried "Missing Sync" but that program lives up to its name - it's sync is still missing! Instead reproducible crashes due to SQLite exceptions - clearly some programming error. So, IS there ANY option to sync an HTC Desire / Android 2.1 phone decently with a desktop Outlook 2007? Or do I really have to revert to my previous Windows Mobile phone?

But now my calendar is with google sync so I have no need to back up to my computer...that I know of? I also haven't seen any mention of a fascinate desktop? Is there one and should I be syncing up?

On the flip side, I have an ipad and through icloud, bookmarks are dynamically synched between the two - add bookmark in IE on PC and it appears on ipad, as well as the other way around.
I have found posts where people say on export/import, but that is a one time shot. Looking for something that is automated.

Nov 7, 2010I have Issues with Jorte calendar app to sync with google calendar. I have Jorte on my phone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S with 2.2 installed. I use LauncherPro Plus. When i enter a text in Jorte calendar, the text are not syncing to Google Calendar. But when i enter a text in Google Calendar it does sync to my phone and Jorte. In the options in Jorte i have checked so that the Calendar is using google account and the calendar on google that i use. I can not find any settings in Google Calendar to help it sync to my phone.

Feb 27, 2014normally I have sync turned off to prolong battery life but it also removes the capability to see the desktop bookmarks while in Android's Chrome browser. I thought the bookmarks were stored locally and then synced back when sync turned on.
To see desktop bookmarks I have to flip the sync on do my thing and then flip it back off when I'm done browsing.

For security reasons I can not use a two step process where I sync notes to google email or other providers. It is not necessary to sync email, only calendar and contacts. Is this possible?

I see I can access them seperately by using an App called gtask but wondered if there is a way I can set it up so I can see my events and tasks all together on one calander. Mar 9, 2010I'm on the 3 network and for the last month my hero won't sync with google in north london, it seems to work everywhere else e.g. south and east london. i get this error message:'can't establish a reliable data connection' I've hard reset the phone several times that didn't work, i formatted the sd card didn't work, I've put in a different sim no luck with that too. Also the browser works fine i can access the net without a problem, however if i try to sign in to gmail through my browser i get an error message too: 'a secure connection could not be established'. I've been to several 3 shops and called tech support they don't know what the problem is either, they want me to send it in for repair but i'm reluctant to do that as works everywhere else.

Aug 31, 2010I set up my Google account on my phone but my contacts do not appear in the "People" app. One solution I read was to check if the contacts were stored on the phone itself and not the Google account, however I checked and they are in fact stored under the "Google" option (People > View) When I click on the sub-option under Google ("Show auto Gmail contacts") then it shows *every* contact I've ever emailed in the "All" list, but it still doesn't show my groups that I've set up in the "My Contacts" list. So, how do I do this? All I want is for "My Contacts" to sync with my phone, not everything else.

May 9, 2010I have read the search results, but just a simple question.When you sync items, phone/pda/pc etc, you get the oppertunity to choose which item takes priority if say mobile phone number has been changed in two devices.How does this work between google and my phone.I don't want to spend ages today getting my contacts just right on google via my pc to find they all go wonky when it syncs later on.
