Ok, so I went into my call log and saw that it has every call made, missed and gotten since I received my phone over a month ago. Wow, thats a long list. I know on my Blackberry if I didnt clear my logs and messages, the OS would slow down. Is it the same as on Android?
Is there a way to keep the 10 most recent calls and message conversations instead of clearing all?

I recently bought a HTC Hero with sprint. i took a picture and tried to send it via text message..i receive error of " Message size limit reached...sorry, you cannot attach this your message" Also, i cannot view a picture message sent to me. i tried also saving it to my 4gb card but cannot find where to view the files in my sd card...

View 2 Replies View RelatedI use Handcent as my SMS program. I try to delete all threads (I have test history) and it doesn't take effect. All threads are still there after it asks me. I have cleared data and cache's on both the stock and Handcent apps in my app manager. When trying to delete all threads with my stock program, my phone typically freezes up and forces close. Anyone have similiar experiences, have answers? I even uninstalled Handcent thinking that would clear everything, re-installed and everything was still there.

Whenever I get an email with more than 5 images attached, thumbnails show up for only the first five. Any after that have an empty space where the thumb should be, but each image (first 5 AND any following images) has buttons to download or preview the image. So while I can conveniently get a good idea of what the first five images contain, I have to preview or download any following images to do the same, which requires opening the image in a separate image viewing app.
My phone's a Sprint Epic 4G Touch, with Gingerbread (2.3.3, I think), and I'm using the Gmail app, version 2.3.6.
Is there anywhere to change the number from 5 to something else?

How often does the Data usage message update? I sent in a query for one last night and I got 31mb used, today I get a message telling me I am 65% over my limit an have used 160 MB. All I used the internet for was chat and some web-browsing (like 5 pictures and a few webpages), but nowhere near 120MB. During the time frame between when I checked I was on an airplane for 4 hours (so no 3G) and then went to bed and got the warning when I woke up. So how often does the data usage message update? Also, how immediately do you get the Data usage warning message?

I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..
having an issue where if the phone is not in lanscape mode it wont recognize my touch. if i get a text and leave the phone upright i cant click the enter message box and the send button is faded. but as soon as i flip the phone into landscape mode it lets me enter a message and send it. anyone else have an issue like this? is there a setting im missing?

I tried everything i could find online to get rid of it and its still there. I called myself left a message and then deleted it. I called from a different phone, did the same. I rebooted. Nothing seems to help. I am using google voice for VM now.

I rooted it when I got it (some months ago), so I don't really remember all the details about how I did it, was probably some cyanogen mod thing. However back then I remember having a small issue with the "system update available" message that displays in the notification bar, when an update is available. The problem was that the message kept appearing even though the 2.2 update was successfully installed. The problem seemed to disappear at some point, but now it is back, and worse. I cannot turn on or wake up my phone without getting the annoying message in my face.
I did try to follow the instructions in the message and actually install the update and reboot (even though the phone is running 2.2), however it didn't help. So right now I am pressing the "install later" option every time I want to use the phone. Also, I found out that I can root the phone with the program Universal Androot, so I guess the solution would be to somehow unroot using the old method (that I have forgotten) and then just use the Universal Androot program whenever I want to do something that requires root. Now the reason I write all this is that I am a bit scared of bricking the thing (even though i hear it should be next to impossible).

I noticed I get the "text message memory full" error when my phone's free space is below 20mb even though I don't have that many texts.Is the text message memory a small percentage of how much free space is left?Is there any way I can set it to have a set amount of memory so I can avoid missing texts as there is no way to retrieve the lost text once I get that error?

I like to have the power button on my N1 end a call that's in progress. That works great. I also have my screen blank out after 1 minute. And sometimes I need the screen to turn back on so I can toggle speakerphone or bluetooth or whatever. But the problem I run into is that the only way to turn the screen back on is to hit the power button, but then that ends the call! I have the power button setting changed for now, but I really like it enabled.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was goofing around my phone and i found out how to delete a message and a call with out deleting all of it like when you go to call log and click clear it removes every call or in your message t removes the whole thing instead of just one. well to delete only one call number go to the number and click & hold it until a little window pops up and it will give you a menu for that number go to the last one remove call this will only delete that one call. same thing works for the SMS message just open up the conversation you were having with the person and click and hold the part you want to delete and and a menu pops up and click delete. Hope this helped out the people that didn't know about this.

Thereafter, I have occasional intermittent similar problems. I can always hear the other party perfectly; they just can't hear me.
