It looks like some people had this issue. For some reason "New Voicemail" notification is stuck in the notifications bar for me. I tried everything i could find online to get rid of it and its still there. I called myself left a message and then deleted it. I called from a different phone, did the same. I rebooted. Nothing seems to help. I am using google voice for VM now.

On my wife's Droid X, the status bar indicates that she has a voice message. After logging into her message box and clearing all voice messages, the status indicator never goes away. Any idea how to clear this out? It's been there for a few days now. I've tried powering down and removing the battery. We are on Verizon if that matters.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have been trying to get my rooted Galaxy Nexus to load the CWM Touch recovery image, and I just can't seem to get it to stick. I originally just tried to install the basic non-touch version from Rom Manager. When it rebooted, I got the red ! and a dead robot. So I booted into fast boot, and flashed the touch recovery. After flashing if I go straight to recovery, I do get the CWM recovery and can backup. My problem is that if I the reboot the phone, I can never get back to it again. I always end up at the red ! and a dead robot.
I read on another thread to rename the file "/recovery-from-boot.p" to "recovery-from-boot.p-bak" and that it might require reflashing the image. I moved this file and re-named it, reflashed, booted into android. Then powered off and booted into recover mode, just to see the red ! again.
It seems that when I first flash I can go into it, but anytime after that it just dies. I could probably just go ahead and flash a new image to the phone but I don't feel good doing that while the recovery image seems to need re-imaging every time.
I have downloaded a bunch of email notification tones from Zedge to use with my email, I got into the settings, set the right tone to be used, then go out of the settings. The problem is that if I go back into the settings it defaults back to the "Droid" tone and does not keep the one I want.

Can i record a simple voice message and send it via MMS? It was pretty simple to do with a cell phone...
I saw that the eris comes with a voice recorder, but i recorded a message and was not able to send it.
Any ideas?
Also, when sending pictures via MMS, it always resizes them and obviously the person receiving doesn't get the same quality. I realize that sending via Gmail doesn't resize, but i send to other cell phones a lot.
I'm thinking the only fix is lowering the camera resolution? I think that lowering the resolution is still better than having it resized for the message. Has anyone tried lowering the resolution to a point that the picture does not need to be resized for MMS?
Same thing for Video messages.. can't even send them. Not sure if it's HAndcent, or the file is just to big

i have faced on my Micromax Smarty 4 A68 is that whenever I receive any message or Missed call on my phone, notification is not visible on the message icon and the phone icon. This is the reason i am using Holo Launcher and Apex launcher and unable to use Nova launcher or xperia launcher.

Since the last time, I have a voicemail icon in my notification bar, clicking on it tells me to call my GV number to hear 3 messages. I cleared the messages in the GV app,but the notification wont go away. It has no Clear button to dismiss. I've rebooted the phone, tried calling the number, but have not yet tried throwing it against the wall. That's next. Used to happen every once in a while, now doing it multiple times a day. I use Handcent but I doubt that is the problem because the messages dont show up in the regular messaging either. Just want to see if i am alone with this problem.

How do I set up my voicemail where the operator says my number and just beeps. I also went to the voicemail app clicked on settings and hit change greetings. It directed me to back to my voicemail.

View 10 Replies View RelatedThis is probably pretty basic, but the only way I see that I can activate voice dial from the N1 is to touch the micophone button (top right on the home screen). The problem I'm having is the button is too small. When I'm driving, I have to concentrate too hard to find the little micophone button in the top right corner to activate voice dial. I realize I can create a shortcut with direct dial, but don't want too many buttons clogging up my home screen.
Surely there is any easier way to activate voice dial. Anyone know?

I have a Nexus 7 with PDANet Tablet and Google Voice and I have my (cheap) smartphone with PDANet and FoxFi
I can pair my phone and tablet up just fine and do a bluetooth tether with no issues I use it with Spotify while in the car daily. Other apps and Chrome work fine I can do pretty much whatever using the tether.
But when I try to send a txt with GV from the tablet it just says Queued and never ever sends.
having an issue where if the phone is not in lanscape mode it wont recognize my touch. if i get a text and leave the phone upright i cant click the enter message box and the send button is faded. but as soon as i flip the phone into landscape mode it lets me enter a message and send it. anyone else have an issue like this? is there a setting im missing?
