General :: S4 Mini Does Not Save Message Or Call History - Play Store Not Working
Jan 1, 2014I'm currently having some issues with my S4 mini, as stated in the title, the phone does not save messages or calls. I can still send and call, but nothing is ever recorded.
At the same time this started to occur my play store stopped working, just getting the "no connection, Reconnect"
I am using the stock app from samsung for calls and messages. Factory reset is something i would like to avoid.

Feb 11, 2010I use Google Voice (love it) primarily because of it's visual voicemail on my Droid. I do have a Google Voice number, and I'm trying to decide whether to set the Droid app to "make calls using Google Voice" or not.
I have no problem with giving out a different number, and my placed calls seeing the GV number in caller ID.
My question is, does this affect how the call is actually connected, from a quality standpoint? I tired a call both ways, and the sound quality seemed a little bit different. But then, I am an obsessive compulsive weirdo.
Is there any difference in call quality or routing between making a native Verizon call and a Google Voice call on Droid? (Like, does Google voice actual use 3G to connect to Google server over the internetz, then place the phone call?)

Dec 15, 2009Is it possible to make a call from an activity and make sure the activity doesn't keep running while the call is in session? And, once the user is done with the call (by pressing the hangup button or whatever), the call log screen wouldn't get shown and the user would be directed to a new activity within the application. I know there's ways to detect calls and call hangups through services, but, I'm not sure if it's possible to make an activity from an app pop up as soon as a call is over.

Feb 6, 2010On my previous phone it had a "full lock" feature on it that when a text message or phone call came in it would show all stars on the screen and require my password before you could answer the call or view the text message does the hero have that option or is there an app I can download?
I tried the pattern lock thing it has but if a call comes through or a text message comes through it still allows you to answer and/or view the message without entering the lock pattern..

Nov 8, 2008I was goofing around my phone and i found out how to delete a message and a call with out deleting all of it like when you go to call log and click clear it removes every call or in your message t removes the whole thing instead of just one. well to delete only one call number go to the number and click & hold it until a little window pops up and it will give you a menu for that number go to the last one remove call this will only delete that one call. same thing works for the SMS message just open up the conversation you were having with the person and click and hold the part you want to delete and and a menu pops up and click delete. Hope this helped out the people that didn't know about this.

Jun 9, 2010I picked up the Sprint HTC Evo. This is my first android phone and it's a big upgrade from the windows based HTC Touch Pro that I used to put up with. However, every single notification makes a massive, loud, Beep And I can't figure out how to turn the volume down on it, except to put the phone in vibrate mode. Windows had two volumes: one for system, and one for the ringer. That made a lot of sense.
I think my co-workers are going to get really angry with me if I don't figure this out soon. At first, it was just text messages, but now it's facebook and everything else. Can someone please tell me how to shut up this dumb robot?
I'm not sure what info I need to give you about this, but it's the launch version of the Evo, I did not change anything related to this problem - still using the default applications and such.

May 30, 2010I just got the Motorola Droid last week, and I love it. But I do have one problem with it. I've noticied that, and only when I'm in sunlight, when I take or make a call the screen goes off before I bring it to my ear and will stay off even when I pull it away to hang up. I have to wait for the other person to hang up and then slide out my keyboard to get the unlock screen to pop up. Inside however, there are no problems. Anyone else having this problem, and if so what did you do to fix it.? Technical said they don't know what's wrong with it, but I'm going to call them back after the holiday. Also I noticied that my alarm occasionaly doesn't work. Is this normal? I did download a pay app alarm clock, but I don't know yet if it will work 100%.
