There are certain apps that will not let your phone sleep as I noticed yesterday (TRAPSTER) and so I ended up uninstaling it because it kept my home screen up and it never went to black. I didn't want my battery to run down so I got rid of it but as I sit here thinking about it, couldn't I have gone into my Application settings and turned that app off until I wanted to use it again?

I just got a replacement Droid from Verizon, and in trying to set everything back up, I'm running into one irritant I can't seem to figure out. Whenever I put the replacement Droid in my car dock, it opens the Dock Mode instead of Car Mode. Can anyone help me figure out how to change this setting? As I remember, previously I used Dock Awake in conjunction with Car Home. But, now, I can't seem to figure it out.

How do I remove the widget when my application is uninstalled?Is there an attribute in the manifest that I am missing?I have tried asking on the Google Android groups, but they take so long to approve and then it get's lost with the 100's of other questions that are ask that get approved at the same time.I was sure that this would happen by default by the OS, but guess I was wrong.I am catching the "PACKAGE_ REMOVED" intent, and checking the "EXTRA_REPLACING" to make sure it's not a reinstall, but I don't know the actual code to use to actually remove the widget.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI uninstalled launcher pro to see if I preferred the original interface, and now I only see the top status bar, and nothing else.Turning from normal to landscape still works, so it looks like the phone is working, but the interface is gone.I tried turning the phone on and off again,and get the same issue.I know how short supply they are in, and would REALLY like o get this working again.

Is anyone else having this problem with bb and trapster (or any app)? I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the way that BB handles memory. It's a real PITA...enough that i'm tempted to change roms to see if anything changes.

I like the pinch and I love the night mode, but I am back to 7.2 now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI rooted my dx and then i unrooted because I really don't know what I'm doing just figured I would go back stock. So I uninstalled clockwork, rom manager. And I didn't flash any roms so it still is stock right? Well when I powered off and then on it brings up the clockwork bootloader screen and i have done a factory reset and it's still on there. I am not rooted i unistalled all the root only apps, I can't find where this stuff is hiding or do I just scroll down to wipe data/factory option on the clockwork recovery? I hit the first option and it boots up fine! Figure if anything happens and I need to take to verizon they will definitely know.Just trying to go back to factory fresh.

I'm looking for some "streaming application" that will allow me to watch any of these movies on my phone over the internet.
Is there such a thing? I know I have to have a dedicated computer (gateway) to access the movies, but after searching Google for the past hour, I've given up.
The only thing I can find is Orb, but the reviews aren't the greatest.
Has anyone done this successfully, and willing to share how they did it?
I love Helix Launcher 2 with its 3d app scrolling and 4 shortcuts, but is their a home like that with less lag? Because my phone lags nonstop now. Also on a side note. Is their a Ultimatedroid theme for Cyanogen? I <3 Ultimatedroid's theme and thats the only reason I use it over Cyanogen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is like a default option but i've found thet my X's entire OS goes into landscape mode, including app tray, browser, apps, everything. I haven't downloaded any apps that do this and while its in this mode it wont rotate back to portrait. The only way I could change it back is by rebooting. I haven't found a way to voluntarily recreate this, it just happens, maybe by a certain combination of keys,but I'd like to know how to recreate this. I'm sure its probably really obvious so forgive me for my obliviousness

About an hour into my trip, Nav would intermittently close, and would return to the home screen. However, the app wasn't always completely FC'd, but running in the background, and could be returned to by dragging down the Notification bar and reselecting it. This continued for the last 2 hours of my trip and was extremely annoying. Has anyone else experienced this?
View 9 Replies View RelatedIm on the Rom manager 2.1. It's been working for days now and I backup my roms pretty much every day. Today I installed a new app Vlingo and my apps disappeared off my home screen. I restored from 2 days ago, but I'm getting the same thing. The apps load at first, but within 5 minutes, they go away. Then, if I apply some apps on the now empty screens, they will be on top of the old ones when I reboot.

Well none of them worked and I'm pretty sure I uninstalled all of them. However on the most right side of the home screen it still says Problem Loading Widget.. Doesn't seem to be causing a problem but it is just really annoying.
