I want to run Trapster in the background at all times, but it displays the little police car in the Notification Bar. Is there anyway to stop it from being in the notification bar?

It seems that every time I use Trapster for any significant amount of time, it invariably force quits on me. Is anyone else having this problem with bb and trapster (or any app)? I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the way that BB handles memory. It's a real PITA...enough that i'm tempted to change roms to see if anything changes.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI went to the latest update which has night mode and pinch zoom on the maps (2.1 ported, woot) - and my Trapster won't work.I know that there may be issues with other programs using GMaps, is anyone else with this version having map problems with any other program and 7.4? I like the pinch and I love the night mode, but I am back to 7.2 now.
View 6 Replies View RelatedThere are certain apps that will not let your phone sleep as I noticed yesterday (TRAPSTER) and so I ended up uninstaling it because it kept my home screen up and it never went to black. I didn't want my battery to run down so I got rid of it but as I sit here thinking about it, couldn't I have gone into my Application settings and turned that app off until I wanted to use it again?

These programs seem almost identical, and I'm trying to decide whether to keep both or get rid of one.Based on my experience with it so far, I've made the following notes:RealTimeTraffic Cons / Trapster Pros: RTT&SC's audio warnings are annoying - buzzer as opposed to the friendlier actual spoken word warnings in Trapster - RTT&SC's Buzzer goes off way too often (Cannot adjust the distance from hazard at which the buzzer will go off. Trapster allows this)- RTT&SC's Red Light Camera warnings goes off even when I'm on the highway. Trapster seems smart enough to know when I'm a highway and does not interrupt me about red light cameras.Trapster Cons:- Trapster seems more sluggish. (and probably more battery consuming?)Other notes: Both seem to report the same red light cameras. Not sure about other hazards. Has anyone else used these programs and can comment on their effectiveness, accuracy, power usage, and whatever else? (if it matters, I'm located in SF Bay Area, California)

The weird thing is that I use Google Voice, so I never get voicemail notifications except for this one. It won't clear even when I clear other notifications away. View 8 Replies View RelatedI just yesterday noticed they aren't working, emails nor text messages. I don't know when it started not working, but I think it was working when I first installed bugless beast v1.0
LED notifications:
Stock email = none
Stock messaging = none
Custom stock messaging in BB = none
Handcent = none
I wiped cache/data/system everytime I installed a ROM to fix it.
Bugless beast v1.0 (twice) - not working
NexBeast - not working
Leaked BB - not working
It was working before with the leak for sure.
I don't have any other roms and with the alldroid drama I can't get them.
I checked setting and spare parts multiple times for some setting to no avail.
So my FB app doesnt re-up any FB notifications for some reason. It has been two solid days and on my phone it says I haven't had any notifications for 2 days on FB... while on the reg site (from my comp) I have had approx 15. Why isn't my FB app getting notifications?
View 12 Replies View RelatedI got the X synced with my Exchange server just fine. The problem is that I'm not getting a notification whenever I get a new email. I have to go into the Email app to see if anythings come through. I have it set to give me an audible alert and that's not working either. This will be a real deal breaker if I can't get it fixed.
View 12 Replies View RelatedNot sure if this is a Droid-specific question, but here goes. Right now I have the device set to alert me when it gets, say, an email. The problem is, it will only alert me to the first email, and if I do not check it, it will not alert me for subsequent emails. While I realize the rationale behind this, I really like how my BB tells me every time I get an email. Anyone have an idea on how to enable this?

But I do miss the black notification bar.I saw that Metamorph could do some settings, and I installed their blue theme, but all it did was change the colors of certain things, I thought I was going to get the bar too.So, how I do get the black bar with the cool round battery? View 7 Replies View RelatedHas anyone actually seen this phone in action? How are it's notification LEDs? Does it have multiple colors like the original droid or just 2 colors like the Incredible? And how bright are they? Might be a little picky, but that is one thing I miss from my droid. The incredible LEDs suck, they are set so deep that you have to be directly facing the face of the phone or else you cant see them. It is nice to just look down at your cup holder to see if you have a message. edit: it looks like the spec sheet calls out a "tri-color" LED. A google search calls this a red/green/blue setup that can do combinations to make different colors. so it looks positive that it will be the same as the original droid.

I can't understand why this isn't base functionality in Android. Even my plain old basic cell phone from 10 years ago did this.
Out of nowhere, I got a voicemail notification in my notification bar.(Cassette looking thing) I don't remember ever seeing it because I've had Google Voice for so long.
I've tried Powering on/off, battery out, uninstalling GV, hour on phone with VZ tech support. The notification bar doesn't give me a clear option.
If I call*86, it says I have no voice mails.
This notification is very annoying and I don't want to do a factory reset..
I think it'd be pretty cool to see what notification sounds everyone is using. I find it hard to discover new sounds when the time comes for it.

so i am using the stock android email app and recently whenever i delete an email and exit from the application i get a notification that i have a new email, but when i go back into the email application there is no new email. i have tested it out and say i delete 3 emails, i will receive a notification saying that i have 3 new emails. the notification will always show the number of emails i have just deleted even though there are no new emails. the emails do not reappear like other people have problems with. i think my phones just playin mind games with me
just wondering if anyone else had this issue and if k9 email could fix this.
ps: it is an aol email account, if that matters
Does anybody know where I can get different 3g and gps icons for my notification bar. I found some others over at droid pirate but still looking for more ideas.
