Motorola Droid :: Running Hot With Trapster Or Other GPS Apps?
Jan 10, 2010I just noticed that Droid is running very hot with trapster turned on. Anyone else notice this? Is this trapster or the GPS?

Motorola Droid :: Trapster And BB 0.4
Jul 14, 2010It seems that every time I use Trapster for any significant amount of time, it invariably force quits on me. Is anyone else having this problem with bb and trapster (or any app)? I'm pretty sure that it has to do with the way that BB handles memory. It's a real PITA...enough that i'm tempted to change roms to see if anything changes.

Feb 4, 2010I went to the latest update which has night mode and pinch zoom on the maps (2.1 ported, woot) - and my Trapster won't work.I know that there may be issues with other programs using GMaps, is anyone else with this version having map problems with any other program and 7.4? I like the pinch and I love the night mode, but I am back to 7.2 now.

Jan 4, 2010There are certain apps that will not let your phone sleep as I noticed yesterday (TRAPSTER) and so I ended up uninstaling it because it kept my home screen up and it never went to black. I didn't want my battery to run down so I got rid of it but as I sit here thinking about it, couldn't I have gone into my Application settings and turned that app off until I wanted to use it again?

And there are apps in my Tray, that are factory set, which I'll never use. How can I Delete them.

Jan 11, 2010I understand that certain apps need to run in the back ground in order to work and others run so that they are easily accessible. Is it possible to pick and choose which apps run in the back ground so I can keep my phone running smoothly. I have used task killer apps but, they are just not the right solution as most apps will just restart them selfs.
My main problem is the fact that I have to many apps installed on the phone and as the app store grows and I keep reading this forum it only gets worse. My phone actually got to an unresponsive state so that every time I picked it up there is a serious lag. I fixed this by deleting unnecessary apps that aren't used daily or weekly. The problem is I liked these apps and want the ability to be able to use them in a pinch but I don't want them running all of the time.

Since my upgrade to round #2 of the 2.1 leak, (which I love) I am always finding out that I have anywhere from 9 - 13 apps running out of the blue. I use ATK to kill them, but even when not opening apps, when I kill, there will be so many that were running. Question is, does anyone else have this problem, and what do I need to do to keep them from starting by themselves? Very frustrating when the phone lags because of this. Besides that, it kills the battery.

What happens is I'll open ATK and there'll be like 10 apps running(which I never even opened), so I'll go ahead and kill the selected apps. Footprints, Voice dialer, Messages (I use handcent), Peep and Music are the ones I've noticed and (coincidentally) are all apps I don't use. I only notice them when using Advanced Task Killer and have to kill them. It's a new issue so is it possible another app I downloaded recently is to blame? Am i maybe just insane?

These programs seem almost identical, and I'm trying to decide whether to keep both or get rid of one.Based on my experience with it so far, I've made the following notes:RealTimeTraffic Cons / Trapster Pros: RTT&SC's audio warnings are annoying - buzzer as opposed to the friendlier actual spoken word warnings in Trapster - RTT&SC's Buzzer goes off way too often (Cannot adjust the distance from hazard at which the buzzer will go off. Trapster allows this)- RTT&SC's Red Light Camera warnings goes off even when I'm on the highway. Trapster seems smart enough to know when I'm a highway and does not interrupt me about red light cameras.Trapster Cons:- Trapster seems more sluggish. (and probably more battery consuming?)Other notes: Both seem to report the same red light cameras. Not sure about other hazards. Has anyone else used these programs and can comment on their effectiveness, accuracy, power usage, and whatever else? (if it matters, I'm located in SF Bay Area, California)

Sep 25, 2010Im still running this version of Froyo and Im loving it. Im deodexed with a little bit of build.prop I got from someone on an XDA thread.I compared my phone to a coworker who has OTA. He was all stock. No apps even. And my phone loaded sites and the Market 3x faster than his.ive been skeptic about p3s 2.3.15 and especially the OTA esp since it upgrades the bootloader. So does TBH 2.3.15 upg the bootloader too??im more than satisfied with my leak. however, if anyone can justify why i should head over to either versions of the 2.3.15 ill do it. but otherwise im sticking with what i got.
