Motorola Droid X :: Setting Date And Time In Camera
Aug 9, 2010Basic but frustrating issue with my Droid X - the time stamp for the pictures that I take are way off - the date is actually right, but the time is something like 7 hours too fast.My phone's date and time is set correctly, of course (it does so automatically) - for some reason though, the camera's date stamp is wrong and I can't figure out how to adjust it. Any idea how I can fix the date and time for the camera?

Jul 18, 2010Is there any way to change when these 3 things happen separately? Can I make it so my screen fades earlier but still takes just as long to go completely black? Is there a way to extend the time between total blackout and locking? Is there a way to turn off auto screen lock all together but keep the auto fade out and auto black out? I am always able to remember to manually lock the screen and the auto lock is annoying but I still like the power saving of the screen fade and black out.

Feb 9, 2010Long time lurker, please no flaming.The Droid has an awesome screen, especially when set at full brightness. However, I typically have it set at the lowest brightness to conserve battery. On my old Windows phone I was able to have the brightness adjust to full when it was plugged in. I've looked for this setting on the Droid and thus far have been unsuccessful in locating this ability.Does anyone know if this setting exists or if there is an app that would do this?

Sep 29, 2010I can't find anything on this function. I.E. For those with a heavier touch, unwanted applications are opened when scrolling or navigating around the screen. For example, my contact list.I'll be running down the list to let's say the " R's " and when I get near the person I want to contact and slide the list up or down to center their view, it seems like the slightest touch anywhere besides right on their name opens up the wrong one.

I have to reselect 30 seconds, etc. I can't seem to find a pattern of situation leading up to it. Started on 2.01 and continued after 2.1 upgrade. Never rooted.

Just wanting to know because my wallpaper when upright (vertical position) does not look good when sideways (horizontal position). when sideway, because the differences in dimension of the screen, takes my wallpaper picture out of center so you cant see the entire picture.

Jun 28, 2010I set my screen time out to 30 seconds and..it's been 30 seconds my screen is not timing out. This can be REALLY annoying when I forget to push the power button and just put the phone in my pocket and the battery drains.
I called verizon about this yesterday they had me turn my phone off and back on and then it did time out. Today I tried the same thing and it's not timing out..
The phone is brand new, only 3 days old has not been dropped or anything.

Dec 20, 2009I purchased a universal car dock form my moto droid and it fits well. I had to because the car dock from Motorola would not fit with the phone case on it. I usually have the map view while driving, but the screen turns-off. Is there a way or app to not turn-off the screen while using the car-home app.

May 7, 2010Under Settings -> Date and Time, whenever I set a Date to a future or past number, it gets overridden by the Network/WiFi. I've made sure that I've unchecked the Automatic option. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
When I turn off my Network(3G) and WiFi, I'm able to set the Date to whatever I want without it getting reset like 2 seconds later.

Aug 14, 2010I am a new android user, and got my Droid 2 the morning they came out at the Verizon store. Now the guy that was helping me at the store told me that the battery life would be bad because of the high resolution screen but I didn't expect it to be this bad. I have been having really bad battery issues and I don't even use it constantly. I have it on around 20% brightness during the day, and I really only send text messages, and some web browsing but not a huge amount. My battery will be drained after 6 hours or so, and will need a charge again. When checking on battery manager it does say that most of my energy is going to my screen, but like I said I don't even have it close to the full brightness. I have been using an app killer program to try to maintain that also, but I did read somewhere that it can actually hurt your battery more, from closing and opening apps. Just wanted to hear some feedback from other users since we a couple days after launch. Everything else has been great with this phone, and I am REALLY enjoying the android OS after switching from a Blackberry.

Sep 5, 2010Today my EVO recently decided to start displaying Pacific Time and thinking it's in Spokane, Washington (I live in Oklahoma). My phone number is from Spokane, WA but I moved from there a month ago and haven't had this problem until today.
I've tried changing the current city in the clock app, updating my PRL, changing the current city in the weather app, unclicking/reclicking "use wireless networks" to determine location, and nothing works.
The GPS shows I'm in Oklahoma but the time/time zone is still showing Washington. I'm lost.
